IMessage will not verify my email address

Anyone know how to sort this problem out? I've got my email address set up with Apple but when I try and set up my iMessage with my email account, it won't verify
Even though I've verified the email address and received an email from Apple support, it still won't verify!
Very annoying,

Have you tried to resend the verification email? I had the problem once and this solved it.

         In my iCloud settings under Contact Information for that email address and it shows "pending".  When I select "Resend Verification Email" I get "Cannot Connect to iCloud".

    Got new ipad2  cannot get iMessage or iCloud to work. Keep saying cannot verify email address  no matter what email address I use. Also says an email has been sent for verification which it never sends

    Settings > Messages > iMessage > On

    This problem is very frustrating. iMessage will not verify my number and when I send messages with iMessage on, many people I text say my contact comes through as my email.  I've tried basically every suggestion I could find.  Verizon was no help and neither was apple support.  I saw someone said if your number is unique that may be a cause.  My number does have 4 0's in a row in it, but I don't see how that could be a problem.  Please help!

    I have 4 x 0's in my number and have the same problem.  I can send iMessages but not sms messages.  I swapped sim cards and my phone then started semding message ok but the phone i put my sim card into stopped sending messages. Apple engineers tell me it is a network carrier problem.  Optus tell me it's an apple iPhone problem.  Seems the only solution will be changing phone numbers.

  • When I try to use FaceTime on my Macbook Air, I try to verify the email I want people to call me with, and it says verified, but soon an message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."

    So our school lets us use Macbook Airs for the school year, and it has facetime on it. I know facetime isn't blocked because like everyone else is using it. So I decide to give it a try. I click the icon, it says enter your apple ID. I dont have one, so I click to make one, and do so. I then enter my apple ID and click next. The screen reads "People will call you using your email address. What email address would you like to use?" I enter my email address in the box below the message, and then go to my email and click the link, and sign in, thus verifying the email. I go back to the facetime window, and click next. At the top it says Verified, but when I click next it doesn't go on to the next step, it simply blacks out the next button so that I can not click it, and after a few minutes a message comes up that says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
    So that is the issue, please help!!!!!
    *Note-I repeat that I know it is not blocked by the school because everyone else uses it just fine.*

    Since you are using one of the the school's Macbooks, it is quite possible that the time and date are not properly set on the computer that you are using.  FaceTime will not work if you do not have the proper time zone set up for the location that you are in.  This past week, there were a two other Macbook users I've helped by simply telling them to set the Date/Time properly.  By the way, you described your problem very well, which makes it easier for us to help you.  Hope this solves your problem -- if not, post back and I can suggest other remedies.

    I have the same problem. FaceTime works fine on my iMac but when trying to use FaceTime on my Macbook Air, I have the same issue you describe.

    When you say 'they do show on webmail', what folder are they in?

    There is nothing in the registration screen which should prevent you from entering any valid email ID unless and untill you are mentioning the same ID in both the "E-mail" and "Confirm E-mail" field. Could you please confirm that?

    I understand that when u click on sign in it is asking for an email and password, If you can look on the same page were its asking you for the email and the password, just above it there will be a sign up link clik on that and sign up.

  • TS4268 FaceTime will not accept the email address associated with my AppleID

    This is in my Mac.  For some reason, FaceTime does not seem to be on my iPhone 4S, but that's another issue.  On my Mac, which is running 10.8.1, it lets me log in with my Apple ID, but then it asks for an email address, and when I put in the @mac.com address I use every day and is associated with my Apple ID, I get a window saying, "FaceTime Activation  Could not verify the email address.  Please re-enter and try again."
    On the forum page for FaceTime, there is a drop-down saying, "You must choose a community" but all the choices are iOS related, so I picked one..

    May be helpful for others also experiencing this problem...
    I had the same problem with FaceTime and Game Center, but fixed it by going to
    http://appleid.apple.com and verifying my email address.
    Not sure why, as I've been using the same AppleID for years and never had a problem until now. 
    Select the option to have them resend the verificatin email and, once verified, everything should work from there!

  • Facetime is not "verifying" my email address

    On my macbook pro (newest version of Mavericks) trying to open facetime.  I sign in and then facetime shows my email address asking if that is the one I'd like to use to send calls.  I click the check mark so that the email address I want is selected and then click next.  A little pinwheel appears at the top of the window next to the word "verifying".  It's been "verifying" my email address for over a half hour now with no progress that I can detect.  I've used facetime in the past week and was not asked to verify my email, so I don't understand what the problem is.  I'd rather not have to pay to reinstall a program I already have, either. 
    Does anyone have a solution?

    - Verify that you are using a valid Apple ID at appleid.apple.com. You can also create an Apple ID or reset your password from this website.
    - Check that your email address is verified in FaceTime > Preferences.
       - If FaceTime > Preferences shows your email status as "verifying," follow the instructions in the verification email that was sent to complete the process.
    - Toggle FaceTime off and on in FaceTime > Preferences.

    Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. (This is equivalent to rebooting your computer.)
    Or this - Delete the account in Mail and then set it up again. Settings->Mail, Contacts, Calendars -> Accounts   Tap on the Account, then on the red button that says Remove Account.

    Until a month ago, I was using iMessage with no problems. Then, my phone asked me for my iMessage password. I entered it, but I haven't been able to reaactivaate iMessage.
    On the rare occasion I actually get iMessage to accept my Apple ID, I am unable to verify my email address, no matter which one I enter.  The phone tells  me a varification email has been sent, but it  never comes. I've checked my spam filters multiple times to be  sure.
    At this point, I have no idea what to do, and I was wonddering if any of you haave had and mmanaged to solve this probllem.

    Are you able to login to the Apple ID site and Manage your Apple ID?

  • Will not update new email address to iphone!

    I have updated my iCloud username/email account because my old email expired (it was a University assigned email from when I was in school).  On my phone it will not let me edit the email on iCloud in order to update it (I had to open a web page to access it currently).  It is recognizing that I have changed my password and it prompts me to enter my new password but will not let me edit the username, therefore I can I sign into iCloud and my iMessage does not work! Help!
