IMessage won't send or receive message on my mac mini or macbook pro.

Hello, and thank you in advance for reading into my issue that I am having, so I have mac mini late 2012 I5 8gb of ram and I also have a mac book pro early 2011 i5 with 4gb of ram. everything was running perfect on both machines until  one morning my iMessages stopped working, and it was working on the mac mini the night before when I was using it, I send a text to my friend making a new message through mimic mini using iMessage sent it and turned it off the next morning that it it wasn't working every time i try to send i message it now says. "Your message could not be sent. 075******** is not registered with iMessage."
when I noticed this the first thing I did was check if it was the same on my macbook pro and it was the same problem I tried disconnecting and reconnecting with it, I've reset the pram I've made a new profile and still same problem, I have even reinstalled os Yosemite on one of the machine and still same problem.
I use this feature everyday! so I'm trying to get it sorted as soon as I can dose anyone have any clues what could be cousin this and any idea how to help me ?

i fixed it!
Follow these steps to set up text message forwarding on your iPhone:
Click on the Messages app in your Mac to open it.
Move to the iPhone. Tap Settings > Messages.
Tap Text Message Forwarding.
You should see a list of all your devices linked to the Apple ID. Tap the one you want to send and receive messages to On.
You should see a six-digit code appear on in Messages on the Mac. And on the iPhone an alert window will appear marked Text Message Forwarding.
Enter the six digit code displayed in Messages on the Mac into the alert window on the iPhone and tap Allow.

  • Imessage won't send or receive messages?

I've been having a bunch of trouble with imessage. It won't send or receive messages 75% of the time when I'm trying to use it. I've reset my network settings multiple times, restarted my device multiple times, and logged out and back in. My wifi is fine. Everything else works. Except imessage.

    Hi IssiHerondale,
Here is an article for you that will help you troubleshoot this issue with iMessage:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
If you can't send and receive iMessages
You will need these to send and receive iMessages:
An iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    iOS 5.0 or later
A cellular data connection or a Wi-Fi connection
A phone number or Apple ID registered with iMessage in Settings > Messages
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you selected iMessage for use. If the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use, troubleshoot iMessage registration.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. If a data connection isn't available, troubleshoot cellular data or a Wi-Fi connection.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while you're on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn which network your phone supports. If your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls, go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while you're on a call.
    Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you still can't send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Make sure that the contact you're trying to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and recreate the contact in the Contacts app. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.
If you aren't receiving iMessages across all iOS devices
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive on each iOS device and make sure that you signed in with your Apple ID. You must use the same Apple ID on each device.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > You Can Be Reached By iMessage At and make sure that you selected each phone number and email address you want to use with iMessage.
If you linked a phone number to your Apple ID with iMessage and the phone number hasn't appeared, followthese steps.
Sign out of your Apple ID in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and Settings > FaceTime on all devices.
If you're linking a phone number to an Apple ID, sign in to iMessage on your iPhone first. Then sign in to the rest of your device one by one with iMessage and FaceTime.
If your iMessages didn't transmit as SMS when iMessage was unavailable for use
Go to Settings > Messages > Send as SMS and turn on Send as SMS.
Select your phone number when Sending iMessages in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive > Start New Conversations From.
Make sure that you can send SMS with Settings > iMessage turned off.

iMessage won't send or receive pictures, no matter how big or small they are. Not issue sending pics from iphone or ipad. if i access the file transfer window, it shows the following message below each picture that did not go out:

This issue started a few days ago, no changes in SW or HW ever since, so not sure what is going on.

    Hi,
Try zipping/Compressing the files or pic first.
Other people are having the issue and the zipping is the only work around we have discovered so far.

  • Mail/Message Overlap between Mac Mini and Macbook Sharing Home Network

Somehow e-mails that I am writing on my mac mini from my g-mail account are showing up on my wife's macbook air as if they were being sent from her work account. On the left of the dock I can see the mail icon with what looks like an Airplay symbol imposed on it. Something similar happens when she uses iMessage from the macbook, although both of these issues only started today. We share an Apple ID but do not have Back to My Mac enabled. Any ideas?

That's Handoff. At least one of you should sign out of iCloud in its preference pane and sign in with a different ID.

  • I cannot send or receive messages on iMessages since password reset.

I forgot the password to login to my Mac and had to reset it using my Apple-ID. Prompts then came up asking me to put in my icloud/facetime etc passwords. I had to figure out my old password in order to login to the Apple keychain or something to be able to automatically login to the Wifi and such. I did manage to recover my password and everything seems to work fine now except iMessages though, which I didn't realize until someone sent me an iMessage that I never got and I noticed that I also couldn't send any messages back even though I was connected to the internet. I tried logging out of iMessages and back in, but that only made things worse as I couldn't even log back in and had to change my Apple-ID password to log back in (because putting in my Apple-ID for the iMessages password in the prompt that came up after I put in my Apple-ID password didn't work). Now I am logged back in but still cannot send or receive messages.

I have restarted and now I realize that I am still having the issue with not being able to access the keychain "login", so I get 3 options, to either continue, create a new keychain or update the keychain password. According to some Apple page I found the password for the login keychain should be the old password (which I forgot). Even though I recovered this password, this doesn't work. I also tried my original Mac password, and my Apple-ID password. I don't know what else it could be. Should I just make a new login keychain at this point?
