IMessage won't work without wifi

When I don't have wifi I can't use iMessage. Before I got the ios7 update I could no matter if I had wifi or not, now it won't work without it. Other people can't send me text message is they are still using iMessage. How do I fix it?

Go to Settings>Messages and make sure that "Send as SMS" is turned on. Also, if you want to be able to send longer messages or photos when not on Wifi (i.e., not iMessaging), then also make sure that MMS Messaging is turned on.

I have an iPhone 4S and on Sunday I tried to send a text message (it was an iMessage because the other person had an iPhone) but it turned it into a text message and still wouldn't send. I've never had a problem with this before Sunday, and it's really annoying me. I've always been able to send iMessages without wifi and regular text messages, too. IPhone 6 won't work without wifi

HI got my iPhone 6 about 3 months ago and it as working perfectly fine but all of a sudden it wouldn't let me use the Internet, iMessage or my social media apps without wifi. My brothers and dad's phone still works fine but I don't get how come mine doesn't. I updated my phone to the iOS 8.1 after two weeks I got it and then I updated it to the iOS 8.2 two weeks ago to see if it will work fine again but it didn't. I don't know if the problem is because I updated it the first time but I'm tried and it's annoying. Help please ! I'm leaving on a trip in a couple weeks and I would like to use my phone without any problems.

IMessage won't work on wifi in Israel

I have an iPhone 4 using wifi exclusively while in Israel. Cellular data and roaming are turned off. iMessage doesn't send or receive. How do I fix this?

IMessage won't work with 1 contact. (iOS7)

iMessage won't work with only 1 specific contact.
Prior to updating i was able to iMessage with the contact in question without issue.
Both of us updated to iOS7 yesterday, since then messages between us are Text Messages only. We screwed around with everything. We discovered if i send to his email address (checkmarked with iMessage) it works. ALSO...after searching and trying different things, he can send me iMessages from his number, but when i respond it switches SMSs . FaceTime also works.
It works with all my other contacts without issues.
We both tried the following.
- deleting eahcother as contacts,
- resets (many)
- turned off iMessage (reset network settings)
- logging in and out of appleID in several locations
- removed checkmarks from emails/phone number
- on WiFi, on 3G
- phone restore
Start new conversation: only my phone # is checkmarked. receinve, I have 3 emails and phone number
any ideas?

Open Finder, press Option key, select Go > Library, open Preferences and delete com.apple.imessage.bag.plist and com.apple.imservice.iMessage.plist

Ipad2 doesn't work without wifi although I pay Verizon for data. Is there a quick fix for this?

My ipad2 no longer works without wifi. I pay Verizon for data but it won't work away from a hotspot. Verizon says this is an apple fix. A girlfriend told me that there may be a quick fix for this that I can do myself without visiting the store? Anything would be helpful. Thanks to all in advance.

My iMessage is not working over wifi. But it's only at my house. Actually it worked a while ago but then it stopped working.
The browser, email, app store, youtube and any other apps are working just fine over the wifi. It's only my iMessage. It won't send any message. It say message not delivered. Does anybody what is going on and what can I do to fix it? Thanks, before. (:

I recently moved my library on my time capsule
You mean you moved your music files to the external. The library is more than the music files.
Just copy the \Music\iTunes\ folder from internal to the Time Capsule.
Add the Time Capsule to your Login items in System prefs -> Accounts.
Hold Option and launch iTunes and select *Choose library*.
Select the iTunes library file int ehiTunes folder on the Time Capsule.
It is hte samae library you have previously. All artwork playlists, ratings, songs, movies, etc. will be there.
Genius is already there so nothing needs to be done.

It won't work. It was working at first when I updated but then after like 2 hours it wouldn't work. I rebooted it and THEN it wouldn't work. Today, two other users reported issues with the back-forward history list dropping down if they hovered the mouse pointer over the back or forward button -- without clicking -- and then moved the pointer downwards. One user was on a touchpad, I don't know about the other user. Are you experiencing anything like that?
