Imessage wont log in
every since i upgraded to Mt lion my Imessage wont log in. I had no problems with the beta release but the upgrade has a glitch. I have logged in actually but it still doesnt say I did. O i forgot to mention I tried turning the computer off starting in safe mode and logging in and in safe mode it worked flawless. but when i returned back to normal log in the problem returned.

Hi,
The App is called Messages.
One of it's Functions is iMessages (to iPhones and other iOS devices as well and the Messages app)
This does mean in Messages there is an iMessages "Account" that needs to login.
I am not entirely sure which bit you are talking about as a AIM Login can suffer from constant drops from the server it logs into.
If it is the AIM login that you are talking about go to the Messages Menu > Preference > Accounts > the AIM account and Untick the "Enable this Account" Box to Log out.
Go to the Server Settings and disable the SSL option
Sign/Log back in again.

The other day my iPhone powered off because of low batt.
After charging i discovered that iMessage was turned off.
I try to turn it on again and log on my apple id, but only get the message
"unable to log on, check connections"
I never had this problem before, and i tried to reboot, remove sim, turn off and on the phone.
I checked that my password i right and my Apple id account is valid and working.
What to do?I have the same problem. Unfortunately, the troubleshooting link you added has the first step listed as "Verify that FaceTime is enabled in FaceTime > Preferences" which we (the original poster and I) can't do as our Preferences are greyed out. We can't click on them to verify anything.
In FaceTime itself it's verified my apple id (also double checked via the site) and then it says the email is "verified" but then it freezes and after a minute or so it says "Could not verify the email address. Please check your network connection and try again."
After checking the network connection, it still doesn't work. It's rather frustrating as it all worked fine until about a week or two ago.
Any help would be appreciated.

Imessage wont activate on macbook
Help, my imessage wont activate on my mac book. Ive created an account, my password is correct, ive enabled the account, however when I change my status to online and it tells me my username or password is incorrect (which they are not.) Then when i try and send a message it tells me to log in, brings me to the account wizard which shows im already logged in! this is stressing me out please help!
One thing to check. Have you tried logging out and then in?

Forward is a specific action that can be done with iMessages on a phone.
Have your tried turning everything Off and then On Again ?
I say this as I updated to Mac OS X 10.8.2 first then iOS 6 on the devices I had.
On each iOS device there was a restart and at this point I was asked on my Mac to allow the Apple ID and iPhone Numbers to be allowed/added to Messages (I have two iPhones so I said no to one)

My daughter accidentally purchased something from an in app purchase, I haven't got the £2.99 in my account until tuesday, and do not want the in app purchase, my account wont log in now even to download free apps. How do I get my account to log in again and function properly, I shouldn't have to wait until I have a meagre £2.99 in my account again do I because I need the app store for other apps etc and updating, even if it is only 3 days I want my account back, I do not want nor did I give permission for the in-app purchase and would be happy for it to be returned/credited back so I can have MY account available for my IPhone.
Please can someone give me more information or let me know how else I can get my account working again, before pay day on tuesday.

I just bought an android phone and the previous owner of the number had an iphone and imessage wont work, how do I fix that?
I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy S4, and my wife has an iphone. We found out that imessage wont come through from her. After we went to the AT&T helpdesk they said that she could turn off imessage on her phone and that I would get texts on my S4. But then so would everyone else who has an iphone. That won't work for everyone in my company that has an iphone. So what I am wondering is- since I recently got this phone, should I get a new number? Or should I contact ATT or contact Apple to try and get this number de-activated? I'm thinking I'll never get into the icloud account that this number is attached to, but maybe someone has some advice on that?
I just sincerely want imessage to work on this phone and I'm willing to take the steps to do that.
Please helpEither one of the two should work - getting new number from carrier or contacting Apple to revoke phone number from imessage system.

i have a windows 7 laptop, and my itunes account wont log in, it is logged in on internet explorer on the website but when i come to log in on the itunes software on the laptop it comes up with error (-51) i defo have the right password, help!

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

All other accounts are logged in (iCloud, iTunes, App store)
I'm surprised that so many people have similar and related issue, but Apple never acknowledges nor posts with an actual fix.
I wiped my 2009 macbook and started with a fresh Mavericks install via the Internet.
The first action I did was to set up iMessage, and low and behold it doesn't work.

The only way to Fix this is to Call Apple Support.
You seem to have a very similar message with a very similar instruction.
You will need to follow the instructions.
The one in the Pic is telling you there is an Error on the account used on the Mac with the iMessages server.
We know it does not effect other iCloud/Apple ID logins with the same ID one the same Mac or on other Devices when used with iMessages.
We also know that it cannot be fixed by the End User on their own computer.
Going on from there we also know that since the Update for OS X 10.8.2 the iMessages login on the Mac has required the Serial Number to be present.
This allows the Login to be machine specific on the iMessages server.
The Pic error message highlights the fact it is specific to the Mac and it's info and the interaction with the iMessages server.
Make it very clear it is an Account problem you are reporting as not all Support Staff know about the issue and will try to say it is either Software or Hardware related and charge you for sorting it.
Ask for a Level 2 person if you have any difficulties.

it boots up fine to Window 7 log on screen and then nothing it says waiting but wont log on to any account after several minutes it will either reset itself an start over or once it flashed a fatal error report an then started over

Many thanks xlol ss for repeting myself and soundin a total div..nobody actually tells u to make these discs wen u perchase these thing and people like me really havent got a clue so my sister has agreed to pay for someone who knows wat they are doing to come takr look see tomorrow and give us a price for repair,,,i think the problem cud be to do with the ammount of programs the school has preloaded on it and dispite me tryin to save recovery data which is actually still on laptop an i cant get to it so basically useless it ran out of space to store it and im just not brave enough to delete stuff i might of needed.

If your iPad is frozen and unresponsive, reset it by holding the power and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then release.

I recently moved back to Australia for school from Canada and signed up for the new iphone 6 plus. After using icloud to save and backup from my previous iphone 4s, all of the apps eventually worked....except for whatsapp. After looking through my phone and numerous chat forums, it appears that my imessage and facetime are stuck in, "waiting for activation".....is anyone else having problems with this?
I am curious as I am unable to receive the whatsapp code to re-activate my application. This brings me to my second question, is this an iphone/apple problem or a whatsapp third party problem?
I've had friends send imessages to me and they appear to coming through. I have already rebooted and restarted my phone numerous time. A strong connection to wifi and data stream have all come in loud and clear.
I have tried all of the directions that were posted and still have no whatsapp and imessage still inconsistent.
