Imessage wont sync
My imessage is not working properly
tried solutions from many forums but to no good
Here is my issue
I have a macbook pro with retina display and a iphone 5
both have the same email address
now when i try to send a message from mac it tells me that number or user is not registered to imessage while i can send the same message to that very same contact from my iphone
and message on my iphone wont come to my mac and vice versa
splease help me out
Associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
and on the iPhone:
Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
Then, on the phone, tap
Use Your Apple ID for iMessage
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test. If there's no change, you may have to wait for a change in network conditions.

IMessages wont sync between two devices
My iPad 2 and my iPhone 3GS will both individually send and receive iMessages but they wont sync a conversation. Ex: If I send a message to my wife that simply says "TEST" from my phone, the message I sent wont show up on the iPad. I have checked to make sure that they are both using the same email address. Anyone else experiencing this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Imessage wont work/sync to MacBook
Hello! I updated to the new iOS 6 on my iPod and installed the update on my MacBook Pro.
But now my iMessages wont send on my iPod nor does iMessages sync my messages from said iPod to MacBook.
iMessages works fine of the MacBook Pro.
Any help would be greatly appraciated as I'm pulling my hair out to fix it.
Internet connect is great not the problem.facetime wont work on mine either.
it's getting very irrating.
i've reset the ipod and got a new ID for all of it. -
just got 4s and synced my music and only about half went to my phone. the rest wont sync. says unknown error. help!
Unless as part of a backup, or stored somewhere else, they are gone.
Your son needs his own Apple ID for iCloud, FaceTime & iMessage. He can continue to use yours for iTunes content, but for everything else, he needs his own.
When you did what you did, as far as iCloud knows, this is the same person with multiple devices, and that's they way things are supposed to work: keep everything in sync. -

Forward is a specific action that can be done with iMessages on a phone.
Have your tried turning everything Off and then On Again ?
I say this as I updated to Mac OS X 10.8.2 first then iOS 6 on the devices I had.
On each iOS device there was a restart and at this point I was asked on my Mac to allow the Apple ID and iPhone Numbers to be allowed/added to Messages (I have two iPhones so I said no to one)

My ipod will not sync with my laptop. I have had previous Ipods in the past, but since then I have grown out of most of my music. Also about a year and a half ago I got a new laptop. I used the same Itunes name, but now on my new Ipod it has all of my old music and it refuses to download any of my new music. When I am using home sharing though, it says that I can turn on my "Library" but that my "music" is what is perminately on the computer. This only works though if I am near my laptop. When I try to transfer my library onto my ipod it wont let me. My music on my ipod is completely different than my normal itunes library on my computer and I have no idea how to transfer it. When I plug it in, it wont sync at all, or show that there is any device even plugged in. I am frustrated and tired of not having any of my music, so someone please help!!!
You can only sync to one computer/iTunes library. To make this your syncing computer:

i bought a ipod touch from a coworker and it wont sync up with my pc. i have reloaded itunes 5 times, checked my security which is allowing it through and had the ipod and sync cable checked at a local store. i think it has somthing to do with vista operating system, the ipod does not show up in devices and it continues to beep when it is plugged into the usb. this is my first ipod and so far am very frustrated .

ive had a problem syncing with itunes recently. when i delete a song on my iphone when i sync with my computer it still syncs but just greys out and is rendered useless. thats great unless i when i want to add new music or videos from my pc to my iphone it wont sync and will just grey out. i looked for solutions and one said that deleteing all your music from the usage in settings would fix it, well now when i sync all of my music is greyed out. ive tried adding all of my songs manually into my ipod instead of syncing entire library and nothing. (also when i select to sync music nothing shows up in the usage bar (normally 3 gigs) might help) could someone please help?

if you have a mobile me account. First go and move all your data to the cloud by going on your computer and logging in at me.com/move. The cloud has replaced mobile me, so there is no need for those two accounts
Also make sure that for any of your email accounts you set them up to fetch, not push. My tech person set them all to have the email servers push data to the phone. The new iphone4s antenna is extremely strong so it will continually try to access stuff that is pushed–***** a lot of battery life doing this. It makes it worse if you have exchange 2010 accounts. Something about changes made to exchange really suck battery life from devices that access such accounts.

Have you syncd apps to your iPod before?
Have you tried downloading the app directly to your iPod? If you are signed into the same iTunes account that originally purchased them you will not be charged again. -
Purchased movie from Itunes wont sync with Iphone but rental movie will????
I purchased a movie from Itunes and it shows up in my library movies but it wont sync with my iphone. Before I bought the movie i rented a movie to make sure it works and I liked the format so I know that it can auto sync with the iphone. In they Sync section of Itunes under videos it only has 2 headings. Rental movies and TV shows. There is no option for Movies at all so it does not even come up to transfer it over to the phone like with the rental.
I have solved the problem temporarily but would love help on a proper fix. If I check the box manual merge music and videos on the summary page I can get the movie over by dragging it from the library and dropping it into the phone but it still does not show up under the video tab but is on the phone. This then deletes all my music and I have to manually sync that as well.

NatalieI think the layout in sync could be improved for movies perhaps putting Purchased Movies right after Rental Movies. When I am on that tab, Rental Movies (I have none and it tells me so) and then TV shows are visible on the screen with lots of blank space under. I had to scroll down to find the movie sync option (which may seem pretty obvious - but with all the white space after TV shows, I didn't notice that the scroll bar had room to scroll further). Yes, I feel a little stupid (and grateful to you for making the solution so obvious), but I do think the tab layout contributed to my ineptness.

Hi i have recently purchased a new pc and set up my itunes account on it - i have synced my ipad to it but it wont sync the films that are stored on the ipad. when i go to add new ones are it says it will delete the ones on the ipad and replace them with the new ones.How can i keep the films that are already on there and get them into itunes?
I am unable to delete my itunes account on my old pc due to technical failure - could this be why?

I've just signed up to iTunes Match as I have songs on my iPhone 4 which wont sync with iTunes as they are from CDs but I can't see my music in the cloud now. Anyone had the same problem and have an easy fix?
What fixed it for me:
On your computer, open iTunes > My iPhone (or whatever name you gave your iPhone) > "Music" page
Uncheck "Sync Music"
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
Uncheck the box for every song, playlist, etc.
Click "Sync" button (bottom right) (This step may be unnecessary, but I did it and got the result I wanted.)
Let it run and finish
Check the boxes for the music you want on your iPhone
Click "Sync" button (bottom right)
Let it run and finish
See if that doesn't work for you. I tried a lot of things that did nothing, but this seems to have fixed it, and quickly.
