Imessages arent sending in blue?

imessages arent sending in blue, only to a couple of my friends. my and friend and I have always use imeassage now it changed back to a normal text.

Ae you saying they appear in green?  If so, then the iMessage was converted to a text message because the message was not able to be sent via wifi.

My wife, daughter and I have iPhones with iMessage and Send Read Receipts activated. All the messages sent between the three of us are blue however, when my wife messages me, the message appears in green on her iPhone. Can anyone explain why.

Because some kind of error occured.  This is only from her iPhone to your iPhone?  Whenever she sends a message to any other iPhone, it is sent as blue?  And when anyone else sends you a message from an iPhone, it sends as blue?

  • My imessages wont send to one person

i got the ios7 update when it came out, but two days i was texting this one contact in my phone and my imessages wont send it says in red letters not delivered. i have been imessaging this person for over a year and ive never had this problem.
when i imessage other people it works.
the person i am imessaging says he has the same problem when he imessages me. i have tryed turning off imessage reset network and turning off my phone and it still wont work, its been happeningfor 2 days now. please help

This has never happened to me.  However, perhaps you're not following the right sequence of actions.  There are several ways to do this.  Here's one:
    1) Open up the phone application on your iPhone (it's the green icon at the bottom with the symbol of a phone), and select the person in the book you want to send the message to.
    2) Tap on the cloud symbol to the right of their cell phone number.  That brings up a screen with a "To" box at the top of the screen with the person's name.  Below is a blank field and below that a "Text Message" window.
    3) Tap your finger inside that "text message" window; make sure that now the blinking blue vertical line is inside the "Text Message" window.
    4) Then type in your text message and when you're done tap on "Send" at the right.
Hopefully this will work for you!!!

  • HT5538 My imessages wont send at all. I have turned them on, made sure it is the right telephone number and it is synced to my appleID. What do I do now?

I cannot send imessages anymore, they randomly stopped working the other day. I know my wifi is working, i know imessages are turned on and are synced with my mobile number and appleID but they won't send, the blue line (when I try to send them) gets to 7/8 of the way there and then just stays there for ages and does not deliver. What do I do?

Delete and redownload them if doing so is free in your country.

TechCrunch posted a solution today that applies to this problem, I think.
    Go to: https://supportprofile.apple.com/MySupportProfile.do
Click your old iPhone and "unregister" it.

  • Receiving iMessage but sending text to known iPhone

I am receiving text from a contact that is registered with iMessage. The incoming messages are iMessage but when i send out, it will only send text. My phone does not seem to register this contact as iMessage to send to. I am in the same group MMS with that contact. All contacts in that group have iPhones and use iMessage. It shows that messages sent from every user is iMessage but mine sends out text because it recognizes one of the contacts as a non-iMessage user although i receive iMessage from them. Please help

I am having this same problem too, my friend just got her iPhone, and her messages to me are coming as iMessage but my outgoing to her are text?  I can send messages to her from my iPads fine, but the phone is the issue and when I go to the iPad conversations, of course the messages sent from my phone are missing.  I can send other users iMessages just fine....this is driving me crazy.

  • My iPhone 4S has stopped receiving iMessages, cannot send/load any pictures over whatsapp, cannot join the wifi in my house anymore. What has happened to my iPhone i haven't made any changes?

My iPhone 4S has stopped receiving/sending iMessages, cannot send/load any pictures over whatsapp and cannot join the wifi in my house anymore.
Essentially all the things I use my phone for have now stopped working. I constantly have 3G connected (even though i dont want to use it, i want to connect to the wifi in my house) but still when I try to download/ send a picture over whatsapp it comes up with an error message saying the server is unverified, or something equally ridiculous.
I deleted the app so i could reinstall it (as if that would help), but the app store is started saying "unable to connect", despite 3G, so that bright idea died out pretty sharpish.
Whenever i try to turn on iMessage, it asks for my Apple ID password, which I know I've typed in correctly because I reset the **** thing about 4 times due to it apparently being "incorrect". Even so, it repeatedly asks for the password over and over as soon as I've entered it, saying it was "unable to connect" before a final "incorrect password" message pops up just to add an extra smack of annoyance.
I haven't changed a single setting on my iPhone whatsoever. It just suddenly started spiralling into what is now £28/month-worth of pure frustration.
I don't even have any music or photos on it as I had to free up 3.5GB of space on the **** thing to allow it to update, naively thinking that would solve the problem, but alas it did not.
I have seen a few questions posted like this one, usually just one of the problems I have, but I seem to have rounded up the whole bunch (lucky me). None of the previously posted questions have received any replies.
Can some please help me! Honestly, if i see another "unable to..." or "unverified source" pop up again I'll probably smash the thing against the side of my house.
    Cheers.

On your iPad, go to [Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings] Once that is done, re-connect your iPad to your wifi network.

Ever since I updated my iPhone 4S and my iPad 2 to IOS 6 all my iMessages are coming to both my iPhone and my IPad. How do I stop the iMessages I send and receive on my phone from receiving on my iPad as well? I have tried going into my settings and making sure I'm only set up to receive iMessages to my cell number and not my email....but that didn't fix the problem.

Here the way to do it, for both, or for only one Go into your settings, Messages and turn on iMessage. It will then send messages that are iMessages to both your iPad and iPhone. You can also turn off this feature on the iPad if you do not want to receive messages on the iPad.

  • My iMessage is sending from email instead of my phone number. I have tried to change it back by going to settings messages receive at and it won't let me click on my phone number. Please help!!

My IMessage is sending from my email, and I am recieving
Messages thru my email. I have tried to fix this by going to Settings > messaging > recieved at> and my phone number pops up along with my email. It will let me click on my email, but my phone number is greyed out and I can't click on it.i have also tried caller id, which still didn't fix the problem.
Trying to kill two birds with one stone, my phone also says that I have no storage left. I literally have 3 apps installed on my phone. Facebook, Twitter, and instagram. I only have 52 photos, 0 videos, and about 115 songs. I know for a fact that I shouldn't be out of storage, because I have friends with the same iPhone 4, that have 400 pictures, a thousand songs, and page after page of apps. I want to know what is taking up all of the storage, and what can I do to get rid of it. Thank you in advance

    Sorry G23 - I like birds ;)
I suggest you start another thread as I don't know the answer to that one but this might help:
Go to settings - general - usage -   Her e you might find some data hogs

when i send a imessage it sends it from the number that was on the sim before i transfered my number how do i change it to my number?
ive tried to change it in message settings but the number is grey so im unable to de-select it ?
    any ideas?
    cheers Dan

    Hello joinerdan,
It sounds like you are unable to change the phone number that Messages is sending messages from because it is grayed out. I recommend the steps outlined in the following article named:
iOS and OS X: Link your phone number and Apple ID for use with FaceTime and iMessage
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5538
    Unlink a phone number
To remove a phone number from an Apple ID, sign out of FaceTime and Messages on your iPhone:
Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
This should remove your phone number from other devices using the same Apple ID with FaceTime and Messages. If the phone number is still available on other devices after you sign out of FaceTime and iMessage on the iPhone, you may need to sign out of iMessage and FaceTime on all your devices, then sign in to FaceTime and Messages again on devices you want to use.
Note: If you no longer have access to the iPhone that is using the number you want to remove, reset your Apple ID password.
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    All the best,
    Sterling

  • My iMessage will send to other iMessage users, but when they message me back, their messages will only send to me as a text message! I have an iPhone and iPad, and they've been synched for a year now, but I just got a new iPhone 5c . What to do?

Ok my iMessage will send to other iMessage users, but when they message me back, they can only send texts. I have an iPad and when I send iMessages to
Them from there, they receive  them, but can still only text me back to my phone. They also sometimes receive messages from my iCloud email instead of my phone number.... When that happens, iMessage works. It's really annoying! Can anyone help.
I got the iPhone 5c around Christmas and it's worked fine until yesterday!!! This has been going on 2 days now. I have reset iMessage, and the network settings. I've restarted my phone and iPad and they're both completely cleared of messages. I don't know what else to do.

There are a lot of posts in the forums today with people having problems with iMessage.   There was also a published outage yesterday, so it's possible there are still some issues that may be impacting you both.
I would just wait it out - I'm sure it will be sorted out soon.

  • How do I get imessage to send SMS texts to non iphone users?

I have read that I can use imessage to send and receive regulr SMS text messages to non iphone users; but, I can't seem to make it work.  When I try to enter a mobile number of a non iphone user in the new text address bar and send anSMS text the adressee turns red and I get the following message:
Your message could not be sent.
4342496xxx is not registered with iMessage.
Does anyone have a suggestion? I've checked my preferences and any articles I could find but so far I can't find anything that helps.  Thanks.

    Hi,
As I said the Menu Item has disappeared in Messages but you can still get it to send SMS Messages via an AIM Account to a "Buddy" that is the phone number with a leading + 1 for the country code (although it was never  rolled out world wide).

The Menu items in the Buddies menu (This is from iChat 5) do not appear unless the computer ius set to be in the United States.
They don't appear at All in Messages (whether the computer is set or not.)

The iPhone is not user servicable. You can get an out of warranty replacement from Apple for $149. If you open the phone yourself, you forfeit the ability to do this.

    Hello Jesslb23,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
    iOS: Troubleshooting Messages
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts2755
To resolve issues with sending and receiving iMessages, follow these steps first
Check iMessage system status for current service issues.
Go to Settings > Messages > Send & Receive and make sure that you have registered iMessage with your phone number or Apple ID and that you have selected iMessage for use. Learn more about troubleshooting iMessage registration if the phone number or Apple ID isn't available for use.
Open Safari and navigate to www.apple.com to verify data connectivity. Learn more about troubleshootingcellular data or a Wi-Fi connection if a data connection isn't available.
iMessage over cellular data might not be available while on a call. Only 3G and faster GSM networks support simultaneous data and voice calls. Learn more about which network your phone supports. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi on to use iMessage while on a call if your network doesn't support simultaneous data and voice calls.
    Restart your device.
Tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings on your iPhone.
If you are still unable to send or receive an iMessage, follow these steps
Make sure that the contact trying to message you isn't blocked in Settings > Messages > Blocked.
Verify that the contact you are attempting to send a message to is registered with iMessage.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, back up or forward important messages and delete your current messaging threads with the contact. Create a new message to the contact and try again.
If the issue occurs with a specific contact or contacts, delete and re-create the contact in the Contacts application. Create a new message to the newly created contact and try again.
Back up and restore your device as new.
    Best of luck,
    Mario
