Try unchecking the tones and syncing, then re-checking them and syncing again.

My iMessage does not appear to be working. Every time I go to reply to an existing message it just appears as normal text. I have tried to create a new message but it still just defaults to normal messages. I have checked my settings but looks ok. Help?

Try the following:
In Finder, select the problematic volume and then press command-I.
Expand the Sharing & permissions section if it's collapsed.
If the section is locked, then unlock it by pressing the padlock button and then authenticating as directed.
Tick/check Ignore ownership on this volume.

I have loaded new software and iMessages does not appear to be working. All messages appear as in delivered but they will send to the same address on my iPhone.

I messages does not appear to be working on iPad every time I type a message it comes up as in delivered but I can type the same message on my iPhone and it works straight away

MMS is a carrier issue... contact Verizon and ensure your account is provisioned correctly. I would think that someone would be intelligent enough to do that before buying a new device, but......
iMessage could be an activation issue or a network issue.
Have you tried Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings?
Does iMessage work consistently on Wi-Fi?

Imessages do not appear in conversation only main menu

When I receive a text message and respond to it, if the sender sends another text, it does not appear in the on-going conversation. The "messages" arrow at the top of the screen (to the left of the sender's name) displays a number to indicate the person has sent a message, but then I have to click back on that to the main messages window to see the text. Any suggestions?

Force-close the messages app: double-tap the home button, locate Messages in the list at the bottom, tap and hold it until it wiggles, tap to close it, finish by tapping the home button. Now open messages and see if it works properly now.

Windows 7 64 bit: Just installed firefox and pages will not load, or are very slow, IE explorer loads instantly

I installed windows ultimate 64 bit, Tried to install firefox for my default browser. Internet explorer loads everything like normal, no problem but firefox will not load or does after 5 mins +
I checked my firewall windows provides and Avira to see if they were blocking, Found nothing of anything being blocked.
This is a fresh installed windows 7, No viruses or malware

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

Today is May 9, 2013, and iMessage does not appear to be working...

I've barely had my phone a month, and iMessage has worked great until today. It is cloudy and expected to rain, but I was assured that iMessage would work even when SMS messaging would not. What's the deal? And how do I fix this? Was just told that my friend who also has an iPhone 4 is having the same problem.

There has been an outage for both iMessage and FaceTime today. Started at around Noon time, PDT.
There is nothing you can do from your end, this problem is on Apple's servers.

Inbox messages do not appear yet are loading

I have IMAP mail. My messages are loading, ie: I have 20 unread messages, however non can be viewed in inbox. Please help! I think I did this while I was reorganizing some of my other mailboxes.

OK. I don’t know what happened here, but it looks like deleting the account and setting it up again may be necessary. Note that the procedure I’m going to describe is safe because this is an IMAP account (i.e. not POP) and I’m telling you to make a backup copy of your Mail folder first, just in case. It could lead to irretrievable data loss otherwise.
1. Quit Mail.
2. Make a backup copy of ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.mail.plist and the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong while trying to solve the problem. You can do this in the Finder by dragging them to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. The former is is where all your account settings are stored, the latter where all your mail is locally stored.
3. Open Mail, go to Preferences > Accounts, and take note of the account settings.
4. With the IMAP account selected, click on the [-] button to delete the account, then on the [+] button to set it up again.

Imessage names not appearing

None of the name are appearing on my messages app on my iMac. I went to View > Buddy Names > and tried all 3 options. Nothing worked. The phone numbers appear on the left column, but under the messages I recieve, it's blank. I have a couple group chats, and I don't even know who's talking unless I look at my phone.
Any ideas?

From the menu bar, select
 ▹ System Preferences... ▹ Language & Region
From the Region menu in the window, select one of the preset regions. If one is already selected, choose a different one, then change it back. Close the preference pane. Quit and relaunch Messages.

My imessage will not log in! very frustrating

I have tried resetting the networks, turned my ipod on/off, updated to the newest ios update and i have even changed my apple password but it still refuses to log me in! my wifi is strong and is working fine but it keeps saying i need to check network connection. please help!

Just purchased a new Macbook pro 13" and Illustrator and Photoshop etc are very delayed?

Processor - 2.7 GHz intel core i5
Memory - 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3
Graphics - Intel iris graphics 6100 1536 MB
I have also hooked it up to an external 28" Samsung monitor and that is also delayed

Some of the orders are not appearing in KOC4

While running the trnasaction KOC4, Some orders are not appearing.which are appearing in KKBC_ORD.
Please guide me how to get the same in KOC4.

Some pages may not have all the fields in the xml even though they are being shown on the UI.
Possible reasons I can think of are:
1) Beans are rendered dynamically through controller code
2) Page is using regions or other pages by extending them. There is Extends property in Property Inspector and if filled, those attributes from the extended page can also be seen.

Date modified not updating & InDesign not PDF not appearing

Something is definitely off with my Yosemite finder. Two big issues:
Files are not updating the date modified time after saves. If I change the file name in the finder, it immediately updates like it should. Files in Dropbox reflect the old time (as tested by looking at my Macbook Air running Mavericks)
PDFs made from InDesign and saved to a folder do not appear for a very, very long time, if ever. The PDF is there as I can see it in a shared dropbox on my Mavericks laptop as soon as it syncs
I had another issue with Outlook attachments being unable to be saved to a folder, but they could be saved to the desktop. That problem got fixed with a reboot.
What's going on with my finder? Running all the latest software.

Annoying as all get out, isn't it? My old contextual menu item Nudge won't force the Finder to update either. In my case it also has a certain recalcitrance about updating file sizes. Pray to the computer gods for this updating nonsense to get fixed. In the meantime, you can try relaunching the Finder, that is the only reliable way I've found to force a window update. Hold down the option key, then click and hold on the Finder icon in the Dock and select Relaunch. All Finder windows will close, the Desktop will blink. When you re-navigate to your folder it should now have the correct dates.

IMessages sent to a friend in another country are extremely delayed.

I have iMessages set up on my iPhone 4. With almost all of my friends/family who also have iOS devices, iMessages work beautifully and go through within a few seconds at most.
However, I have a friend in England (I am in the US) and iMessages to him are routinely delayed from anywhere from 20 minutes to sometimes several hours. When I send the message, it just sits there with no "Delivered" message, and my friend has confirmed that these messages don't show up until the Delivered message appears. Right now I have one sitting undelivered that I originally sent an hour and a half ago.
Sometimes my messages to him do go through instantly. It seems to help if he sends one to me to sort of "unjam the queue" although this does not always work. His messages to me always go through instantly, by the way. It is only my messages to him that suffer the delay.
I know that I can failover to SMS, but since international texts cost me $.25 per text, I'd like to figure out why iMessage isn't working if at all possible.

Oh FFS, and now when i utter a slightly off-colour word beggining with D, ending with N, and having AM in the middle - I get censored? Apple you make me so jolly angry.

Some CGM graphics do not appear when FrameMaker files are converted to PDF

CGM files are exported from ISO (Arbortext Isodraw 7.0 CadProcess) files. Then they are imported into Adobe FrameMaker 7.2, where all elements of the illustration are visible and can be printed. The FrameMaker FM file is converted to a PDF file using the Adobe PDF converter function of Frame. When the PDF file is opened by Adobe Acrobat 8,0 Professional, some, but not all of the illustrations in the file exhibit this problem (The callouts and other text may appear, but the lines, curves, etc. do not). The illustration prints the same way it appears on the screen. When exporting the ISO file as a CGM, the following selections are made.
When importing file into Frame, "Import by Reference" is selected.
When creating PDF in Frame, the following selections are made.

First you should update to the latest version of Acrobat 8, since you say
you are running Acrobat 8, you should update to 8.2.5. Update your
FrameMaker to 7.2p158. Those two steps might do the trick. If that fails
try using a different settings file. Perhaps High Quality or Press
Quality. I would never use Standard for anything where fidelity is
important.
