Imessages not sent until iphone reboot

Hi,
on IPHONE 5, since upgrade to IOS 7 (same issue on 7.0.2) imessages sometimes not sent out with progress bar
the only way to stop it is to reboot the phone, then you can retry and it sends out ok.
Same issue on wifi or lte network.

A phone reset or going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings resolves the issue.
iOS7.0.3 will be available next week that resolves this issue.

  • IMessages not sent to iPhone recipients

Hi. I sent an iMessage from my MacBook Air and it was highlighted blue which is supposed to mean the message was successfully sent. Yet, the intended recipient (an iPhone #) doesn't receive anything. My account is set up correctly and enabled in Messages/Preferences/Accounts. How to get the iMessaging working? Thanks.

Yes, I know that, but when receiving a SMS, even if the iPhone is turned off or in airplane mode, the message is not completely lost, it will arrive as soon as the iPhone is turned back on ...

  • Itunes will not open until I reboot

I'm running a Windows 7 64 bit computer. My music is installed on an external harddrive. Itunes will not open until I reboot my computer. I admit I have a large collection of music but my computer is running 8 gigs of DDR3 ram and a AMD Athlon II x4 630 processor. This should be more than enough to open my music collection. I don't seem to have any problems with any of my other programs. ANY SUGGESTIONS?????

    1. Check to see if this file APSDaemon.exe is the problem here.
    Close your iTunes.
Press Ctrl-Alt-Del key and choose Task Manager. In the "Processes" Tab, select the file APSDaemon.exe and click End Prosses button, then close the task manager window.
    2.  Go to. START button, type in
    MSCONFIG
    Hit ENTER
Click STARTUP Tab, Uncheck "Apple Push", click OK.
    Restart Windows.
    3. Rename file "APSDaemon.exe' into "APSDaemon1.exe" from this location:
    32bit Windows  C:\Program Files\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\
    64bit Windows  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support\
(Take note that this is a temporary fix until Apple comes up with an update to resolve.  This will also disable the capability of WIFI SYNC)

When my iBook got hot like that, I would take a break and let it cool down.
You can buy laptop desks that have USB powered fans on them, such as the Targus Chill Mat.

  • Mail not sent from iphone mail app

I tried to send a mail through the mail app through my gmail account. Was shocked that the mail was not sent nor I can find it in any of "sent" or "draft" boxes. And the very disappointing thing about this problem is that there was no errors, and I just knew about 12 hours later from the expected recipient that he did not receive my mail.

I hate iOS 7, thus I mat start to hate iPhone and Apple.

Has the Mobile Me account been set up on your iPhone as POP rather than IMAP? If it has been set up as POP then any message sent will not be mirrored. Your Mobile Me account should also be configured as IMAP on all your devices in order to see those messages in your Sent Items folder.
The idea of IMAP is to be device independent such that whatever you do is mirrored on all your devices as they each synchronize with Mobile Me. I suppose you could view the Mobile Me "cloud" as being the main repository. If you delete a message from your Inbox via your iPhone, the next time you connect your Mac that message will not appear in the associated Inbox in Mail.
    Does that make sense?

  • Email gets queued, but not sent until I login to my account on the server.

This is very strange. Let me explain.
    1. Snow Leopard Server 10.6.2 running on an iMac.
    2. I have the Mail Service running on the server. I can receive emails without problems.
    3. Using my Snow Leopard Server email account, I attempt to send an email to another account (e.g. a mac.com email account).
4a. If I am actively logged into my Snow Leopard Server account *on the iMac* (e.g. via VNC, as long as my desktop is active), the email will arrive successfully. Here are the mail.log messages:
postfix/smtpd\[69030]: connect from \[External Host Address]
    postfix/smtpd\[69030]: 942814AD55B: client=\[External Host Address], sasl_method=CRAM-MD5, sasl_username=MyUserName

4b. If, however, my Snow Leopard Server account is either logged out, or even just "fast user switched" to the Login Window, the email gets queued, but not sent to the external email address. I get the following four messages in the mail.log file:
postfix/smtpd\[69030]: connect from \[External Host Address]
    postfix/smtpd\[69030]: B5F574AD582: client=\[External Host Address], sasl_method=CRAM-MD5, sasl_username=MyUserName

    postfix/qmgr\[65313]: B5F574AD582: from=<[email protected]>, size=604, nrcpt=1 (queue active)
4c. The instant I login to my machine at home (e.g. via VNC), the email finishes processing. The below messages are logged, and my external email account receives the email:
    postfix/smtpd\[69160]: connect from localhost\[127.0.0.1]
    postfix/smtpd\[69160]: 20B244AD5B0: client=localhost\[127.0.0.1]

I'm very much at a loss here. It's as if the act of logging out (or fast user switching to the Login Window) suspends some process that is required for my email to process. But .... why?
Any ideas? Any additional information I can provide to help figure this out? Fwiw, I used to run Tiger Server (never tried Leopard Server) and never had this problem.
    Rob

Looks to me like the anti-virus scanner, amavis. The clue is the line:
    postfix/smtp[69038]: 942814AD55B: to=<[email protected]>, relay=127.0.0.1\[127.0.0.1\]:10024, delay=0.25, delays=0.1/0.01/0/0.14, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 2.0.0 Ok: queued as C611B4AD568)
where the 10024 is the default port that Amavis runs on. Postfix is configured to pass mail through this port, and queues the mail until Amavis is available.
My guess, therefore, is that Amavis is set to run under your account rather than under the system, which is why it only runs when you're logged in. Off hand I have no idea how you managed this and that makes it hard to work out how to fix it. I'd start by looking for org.amavis.amavisd.plist in /System/Library/LaunchDaemons, /Library/LaunchDaemons and ~/Library/LaunchDaemons (it should be in the former, but if its in the latter that could explain it.

  • Notification successful but email not sent untill PM shuts down

    Hello,
I was trying to email from a BPEL process and edited the ns_emails.xml file; corrected the SMTP host and port. The BPEL processes (with the email notification) succeed but the emails are not delivered until the BPEL PM shuts down.
My network administrator told me that he could see a session connecting to the SMTP host but that there is no disconnect. Shutting down the PM does disconnect resulting in delivery of the message.
    Not a desirable situation...
Does anyone have a suggestion to solve this or does anyone have a similar problem?

    Hi,
I'm having the same problem and my firewall is turned off, so I'm wondering what's the issue.
Can anyone suggest what's going wrong?

  • IMessage not syncing between iPhone and iPad

    Someone please help!!
I recently got an iPad and have managed to set everything up but am having a problem with my iMessage. I am able to send and receive iMessages on both my iPad and iPhone but when this happens, it does not show up in the other device. So for example, I receive an iMessage on my phone but it will not display on my iPad.
When I try to add an email address through iMessage>send and receive>add email, it is telling me my password is incorrect. I have tried changing my password and using a different email address but it won't work. Everything is set up fine on my iPad (I think!) but my iPhone is the problem.
    Any suggestions??
    Happy new year!

I'm not sure about that. I think the caller ID just identifies where the message originates. I think this syncing problem is actually in the system and related to rolling out a new service.  Frankly, I have not been able to get consistent results.
For example, last night I was sending iMessages to my iPhone to my wife's iPhone.  Both phones have caller ID set to phone number and the messages were sent to her phone number, not her Apple ID. The conversation thread show up on my iPad but not her iPad.  If I did the reverse, that is sent the message from her iPhone to mine, I still got the tread on my iPad but not her iPad. Conversations originating either iPad to either Apple ID synced just fine on all devices.
That said, this morning, I tried the exact same thing - sending a message to her phone number from mine -- and this time my iPad did not sync as it did last night and her remained unresponsive.
My conclusion: the service is behaving erratically and the only way to ensure a fully synced thread for now is make sure the conversation originates with a message to an Apple ID and not a phone number.

  • Imessage not working on iPhone

i have mountain lion on my imac.  ican imessage my son on his mbpro and on ipad but not to his iphone4s.  HELP !

Hi, thanks for your response.  I've just read through the kb.  Just a little more info:
when he was at home (UK), he was merrily iMessaging from his iPhone, including to his friends in Singapore.  Now he's in US, he has acquired a T-mobile carrier service.  Since his arrival he's been unable to message.
His phone has been on iOS5 from day 1.  I know he cannot make int. calls yet until he loads his phone.  I don't think iMessage requires this to be active - I presume it uses wifi - he has no trouble messaging with the laptop, just not his phone.  This means when he is out and about, he is unable to message home.
    Cheers

  • Old iMessages not showing on iPhone 6 after upgrade from iP5

    Hey guys,
I've picked up my iP6 today and I can't see any of the old iMessages I've had. They are still showing on my MBP but not on the new iPhone (MBP is still running Mavericks as I don't want to upgrade before I submit the project for work next week... just a precaution ). Any ideas?

I haven't done a recent backup - any chance I can get them synced via iCloud? I've assumed this would happen since it's being constantly synced with everything else I've got running on iOS
