IMix not working as HTML snippet

Can someone please help me!
I have created an iMix and linked it to my iWeb site, as a HTML snippet embedded in the page. When opening the page in Safari 3.0.4 I find the link to the iMix works, but not the arrow links from to the tracks.
I open the page in FireFox (usual browser) and I find that none of the links work, the embed just refreshes and does nothing.

Yes, I know it is an iWeb template but it is supposed to be easier than getting my hands dirty with the code. I may have to resort to that though. This is reminding me why I left web development.
I am using OS 10.1.5, Safari 3.0.4, iWeb 2.0.2, FireFox 2.0.0.11 on a MBookPro 2.33Ghz 2Gb.
It is also 22.25, I have been trying to do this for hours, so I will hopefully wake up enlightened!
Thanks for the help
Jim

  • Why does gmail not work in HTML anymore as it did someweeks before?

    Until several weeks ago GMAIL worked fine in HTML. Then, after a Firefox version change it worked only in the low res version. This has happened before after a version change but remedied itself after the next version change.
    This time it is still not working in HTML even after several version changes!!
    What can be the reason(s) for that?

  • Flash SWF file not playing as HTML snippet!?

    Any Flash gurus out there? I'm trying to get a SWF flash file to play as a HTML snippet but it doesn't seem to be working. I'm using Artotems Flash code within the snippet. The SWF file was encoded using Flash v9.0 and it plays on it's own when I open it the file directly from a web browser. However, when it's referenced from my website through iWeb nothing shows up!? Any ideas? Here's a screenshot of the code I'm using. Maybe you gurus can tell me if my syntax is incorrect?

    You're not using the full URL to the file.
    You have "/Media/knowledgereignssupreme.flv" in both instances where it should be...
    "http://www.websitename.com/Media/knowledgereignssupreme.flv"
    You can also open it with a simple iFrame code like at the bottom of this page......

  • Can Someone PLEASE Tell Me Why My Muse Site Will Not Work Upon HTML Export?

    Sorry for the long title!
    I've had a few threads going regarding troubles with my Muse site. These issues have been on-going, and once I was no longer able to upload to Fetch—and had to export to html via FileZilla—it just seems the problems continue to snowball.
    I have a web site. I will disclose the URL here now: www.jamescdarling.com
    When this site was html-based (its original form), using my yahoo small business web host and Fetch, it worked like a charm. All Flash files functioned at 100%, embedded videos/players all played great, etc. Then, I switched over to Muse 1.) because I was excited by the potential, and 2.) I wanted to re-design my site, anyway.
    So, I created my site in Muse, and uploaded it all into Fetch. I soon found that some of my Flash files and videos were not working. This was the case for a long time. I finally gave up after trying everything and asking lots of questions here.
    Just recently, I set out to fix these issues as I was afraid this half-assed site would appear to make me look unprofessional and like I had no idea how to use Flash. I had some problems with the new Muse Update (had to ditch Fetch and use "export with html" using FileZlilla). Changes made to my Muse file were not taking... and each time I viewed my updated site, the updates were not there—it still looked like the previous incarnation of the site. However, with some help from some of the good folks here, I was able to make my site not only update, but work nearly perfectly—or so I thought!
    I just clicked on my personal web site URL link in my LinkedIn page, and I see the old-looking site! The bookmark I have of my site is near-perfect—only the videos still will not load. However, it would seem that my site only functions as well as it does on MY computer only—that is, URL's I have been sending out probably are of the old non-functioning site? The changes I make are not being recognized.
    If you will, click on my above URL (in bold)..... If you click on "Resume", you should see light blue rules separating each section. But I bet you will see heavier gray bars with headers inside them. Also, if you view my Flash work, go to the "Epiphone Casino Mini Site".... the "Finshes" and "Features" pages' interactive elements will not function as they should (never mind the video page!)—but they work perfectly when accessing my site from my bookmark on my computer.
    Can someone please tell me how to make my site update web-wide, and how to get my Flash files to function?
    Thanks!!!

    It seams a lot of folks are haveing issues with FTP upload. Try these areas to look at. Maybe the right answer. I dont use Flash on my sites for a long time now. Anyhow, check these out.

  • Search not working in HTML Help

    We are working in RobHelp for Word 6 on a very large legacy
    project. The source material consists of 25 large Word documents.
    Using MS Office Word 2003 to edit the source documents.
    We produce output in HTML and Web Help formats. In the HTLM
    (a single .chm file) the search funtion does not work. A tiny
    window pops up titled Help with the message "No topic found." The
    index function works fine.
    The search funcitons works fine in the Web Help output.

    Hi, TEB008,
    This typically happens when one of the DLLs that the help
    compiler uses is missing or incorrectly registered. Here are some
    instructions on how to re-register this DLL from the command line:
    http://frogleg.mvps.org/helptechnologies/htmlhelp/hhtips.html#hhc6003
    I'd also recommend that you download and run MJ's Help
    Diagnostics, and choose the option to "Refresh Registration of all
    HH 1.x DLLs".

  • My Fullbrowser Portefolio Website work in SWF but not work in HTML

    Hi people
    First of all I am not very good in English language.
    I created my portfolio website in flash as3, with javascript (SWFAddress and SWFObject), with contact form with PHP, and XML Gallery.
    When uploading all the files into the correct folders for the server, the first times I view the site in browser it works correctly, the browser reads the HTML without any problems.
    However I tested it on firefox, safari, ie, google chrome, and it just did not work in google chrome, so I tried to solve the problem, beginning to see where the error was in the HTML file.
    I copied the original file, because that original file I knew it was working properly in other browsers, and started to make changes. I managed to get google chrome to open the HTML correctly but then did not work in firefox and safari.
    So I decided to eliminate this html file and continue with the original file. I'll test again and something happen! The file browser can't read XML, everything else works correctly, alltransitions are correct, the animations are correct.
    I try with the SWF and it opens the XML Gallery, I try with the HTML and it does not open.
    I don't know what to do, can you guys help me?
    Thanks!

    If the swf file is in a different folder than the html file, then it is might be a problem with targeting the XML file in the swf.  When you place an swf file in an html page, anything that swf tries to load has to be targeted as if the swf file is in the same folder as the html.  It does not have to live in that same folder, but it has to act as if it does.

  • Menu not present and HTML snippet editor not displaying...help

    Hi All,
    I have been building a few websites with iWeb and today i opened the software to find that my menu was a blank box with a small grey dot on the left side.
    i went to adjust some HTML snippets to find that the the pop up editor wasn't appearing.
    so my question is simple. where have these gone? is there a setting to turn off these features?
    the issue is the same on all sites and any new site. when i drag new HTML snippets into a page the box appears like a text box but the editor window isn't there and i can't type in anything.
    the same applies for any widgets from the media library.
    hopefully someone can point out what i'm missing and help me get back on track.
    thanks for your time

    Try the following:
    delete the iWeb preference files, com.apple.iWeb.plist and com.apple.iWeb.plist.lockfile, that resides in your Home() /Library/Preferences folder. You may have already tried this.
    go to your Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iWeb folder and delete its contents.
    Click to view full size
    launch iWeb and try again.
    If that doesn't help continue with:
    move the domain file from your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder to the Desktop.
    launch iWeb, create a new test site, save the new domain file and close iWeb.
    go to the your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder and delete the new domain file.
    move your original domain file from the Desktop to the iWeb folder.
    launch iWeb and try again.

  • Generated lists not working in HTML conversion

    Using FM 8.0p277
    I have been asked to convert a book to HTML for the first time. When I do this, FM crashes with an error log that I cannot locate in the Program Files folder, as indicated in the error message. I believe it is the generated files that have caused the error(s). Originally, my List of Figures seemed to be the issue, so I tried generating HTML files of just the TOC and the main document in the book. They produced files fine except the links that work in FM from the TOC to the locations in the main file seem broken. If I open the TOC HTML file and click on one of the links, it does open the main document, but always the beginning of the document. I assume that is because I didn't create the HTML from the book file, but from individual files, so I created a book of just the TOC and main document and tried to save as HTML. FM crashed again. Has anyone had a similar experience, both of FM crashes as a result of creating HTML files and of not being able to locate the error logs in the directory indicated?
    Janice

    Janice,
    The standard answer to questions about HTML export is that the feature is not very robust and likely will not produce the result that you want. It might be useful for certain rudimentary applications but generally FrameMaker users use a third-party application such as Mif2Go, RoboHelp, or a Quadralay product for this purpose. You might get lucky and receive an answer to your specific question, but I think it would be unlikely.

  • Outlook 2013 Quick Print not working for HTML attachments.

    I have to print multiple orders that are received as attached HTML files (Sometimes 20+ attachments).  In Outlook 2007 (On XP) this worked fine I could print the email with attachments and everything would be waiting for me in the printer.
    I just got a  new computer running windows 7 and Outlook 2013 and I can no longer print the attachments.
    I printed through File, Print, Printer Options, Print Attached Files - Email prints, no attachments.
    I tested with an attached DOCX and PDF - Both print the email and attachment.
    Quick Print HTML attachment - Nothing Prints.
    Open Attachment in Internet Explorer - Prints fine.
    Changed Default Program for HTML files to Firefox and tested quick Print - Nothing Prints
    Changed Default Program for HTML files to Word and test quick Print - Prompts for program to use when opening (for every attachment), I choose Word, it opens but does not print.
    I've been searching for anything else to try but I'm running out of ideas  Any help would be appreciated!
    Thanks!

    To resolved this issue i tried below trouble shooting:
    1) Repair MS office 2013
    2)Uninstall and install office 2013
    3)Rename the Outlprnt file  to Outlprnt old  from C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook\
    4) 2 times Re install printer drivers
    5) Creat new outlook profile
    if you Unable to print from Outlook 2013 without receiving the "Printer not ready" message (32/64 Win 7 Pro).
    This changed worked for us, by selecting the Advanced properties on the printer and changing the default setting "Start printing immediately" to "Start printing after last page spooled".
    I hope it works for you, good luck in your quest!

  • Help, swf does not work in html file.

    why is the swf (
    http://happynick.com/sheflash/openingvideo.swf)
    not showing up in the html page? I see only the black center and
    not swf.
    see http://happynick.com/sheflash/index3.html where this page
    should be located.
    how can I make it run automatically when I open the html
    page?

    Not sure what is happening, but it seems to be working-ish
    for me.
    It sits for a minute, then the page redirects to main.html -
    I assume that is a reaction from something in the SWF.
    When I download the SWF to my desktop, and run it outside of
    the browser, all I get is a black box as well.

  • Flash CS3 button not working inside HTML

    or some reason, my SWF "About Us" button will link properly when activated through the SWF
    itself, but inside the HTML file it does not seem to want to work.
    My HTML is at:
    http://www.sirbgb.com/sample/home.html
    And my SWF is at:
    http://www.sirbgb.com/sample/Home_F9.swf
    The target is:
    http://www.sirbgb.com/sample/about.html
    Please note that none of the other buttons/links have code yet.
    Here is my AS3 code for the button if it helps:
    aboutus.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,jumpAbout);
    function jumpAbout(event:MouseEvent):void {
        navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.sirbgb.com/sample/about.html"));
    Can someone please point out what I am doing wrong, this is driving me crazy.
    Thanks!

    Thanks for the advice, but I still have one more questions. I downloaded swfobject.js
    and now it appears that my link is working! However, now my transparency is gone in
    Firefox (but still works on IE and Safari). Can you please show me how to get it back?
    Here is my new HTML code for the animation:
    /// In <HEAD>
    <script type="text/javascript" src="swfobject.js"></script>
    /// In <BODY>
    <object id="myId" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="960" height="768">
            <param name="movie" value="Home_F9.swf" />
            <param name="wmode" value="transparent">
            <param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always">
            <param name="allowNetworking" value="all">
            <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="Home_F9.swf" width="960" height="768"></object>
    </object>
    I thought having <param name="wmode" value="transparent"> would give me the transparency I need,
    but it appears that it does not cover Firefox.
    Other than that, everything works great, thanks!

    Hey there,
    I created an SWF with 5 Buttons. I used the following code:.
    mybutton1.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,f);
    function f(e:Event){
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.myurl1.com"));
    mybutton2.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,f2);

    mybutton5.addEventListener(MouseEvent.CLICK,f5);
    function f5(e:Event){
    navigateToURL(new URLRequest("http://www.myurl5.com"));
    It works perfectly fine when I export the SWF from Flash.
    When embedding the SWF in an HTML file nothing happens. The buttons don't work, no error message, nothing.
    Help anyone?

    I directly exported an HTML file from Flash and it worked perfectly.

  • Does Conditional Formatting does not work in HTML report editor - BO 4.1

    Hi
    I have just upgraded to BO 4.1 from BOXI 3.1
    I see conditional formatting option is grayed out for me in BO 4.1
    I dont have java installed and running launchad on HTML (Preference ->WEBI-> Modify Report -> HTML )
    Is there any relation between Applet option and Conditional formatting or is there anything wrong with Access which i need to correcr explicitly as compared to BO 3.1 ?

    Hi Saurav,
    This is expected behavior; We can modify the Conditional formatting only though Applet mode or using Webi Rich Client.

  • The DPS continues to NOT work with html files

    Hi Adobe guys...i try the last 2 days to upload one white page with one html file (1MB)...the procedure fails all time...I see the "Error During Download" message. And the server seems to produce abnormal big files (156 of 417 MB)....
    The other 2 projects was produced before your DPS update and contains multiple html files....Any reason for this? Thanks

    This isn't a DPS support site, but rather a community forum. You should contact Adobe via your support agreement if you're looking for technical assistance.
    The issue sounds related to how you're trying to use HTML files. We have HTML articles every month and don't have any issues.
    My only thought is that the folder you're selecting to include when you import your HTML articles has lots of extra data in it, which is bloating the size of the folio.
