IMovie 09 many Bugs

1) Program cuts the audio track of time. I created the audio file length 2:04:12 minutes, iMovie this track down to 1:25:00 minutes.
2) I've created in Photoshop frame with black edges and alfachannel, in order to remove the rough edges. In this case, iMovie 09 ignores transitions between video clips.

Are you using the music as background for your movie? iMovie will stop the audio at the end of the movie, even if the music track is longer. So if your movie is 1:25:00 long, then your music will only play for that duration. Add more footage and the track will play out longer.

I click on the launcher and nothing happens, 15 min later it will tell cant connect to the server.
My computer is a windows 8.1; 64 bit operating system. I am stationed in South Korea, but that should not affect the program. Help please.

Could you please let me know what changes have you made in the registry.
You might need to uninstall Adobe Reader from Control Panel and try install it again from the following link:

Please ensure that you are logged in as administrator and anti-virus is disabled as that might interrupt installation.

I close out Firefox then when I try to reopen it, I get a message that it is still running. I've had so many bugs with Firefox that I'm removing it and going back to IE.

The problems I've had with Firefox are numerous. It keeps running in the background and won't reopen. I have to go to the task manager and close it manually. Now, it won't load my iGoogle homepage. I was loading fine, earlier but now won't. My other browsers work fine. There are just too many bugs here.

Why are programs released with so many bugs? Photoshop & Premiere Elements 12 installation errors

Microsoft windows 8 was buggy, but win 8.1 has even more program bugs. I cannot install either Adobe Photoshop Elements 12 or Adobe Premiere Elements 12. I get various errors - eg invalid serial number (when it isn't), general unspecified installation errors, roll back problems, 9 times I've uninstalled and reinstalled and rebooted. The Adobe Trouble-shooter does not help eg delete the swf file etc.
Why do you release programs with so many bugs?
How can I get my money back?

A few days ago I bought the Photoshop elements 12 and with the help of the customer service chat I finally register and received the serial number, but accidentally closed the chat before obtain the link to download it. I 've tried in different ways with not results. Can anyone please help me to download and setup the software that I purchased? I'm new around here and have found it very difficult this new system, I think it was better when the program was purchased on disk and only the installation steps were followed, Sorry my insistence but took a few days on this and start to get frustrated by not receiving any response from the customer service and finally referred me to this forum. 64bit version of firefox, i mean mine field has so many bugs

MineField beta 4 (FireFox x64) has many bugs,
i don't know, maybe it's so common, because in every update none of them were fixed,
for example my bookmark not only doesn't work, but also it clean up my previous one each time i close and open mine field,
i couldn't bookmark any link, even though if i drag and drop links into bookmark pane, it shows it worked, but it doesn't in reality,
another issue that is so annoying is feedback part, you couldn't send any feedback like firefox, there's no feedback button at the right corner of toolbar, even if you select feedback from top menu, it redirects you to this page

i thing it's better to use firefox x86 on every x64 system for many reasons, it also doesn't have any flash player, cuz adobe is still working on x64 version of flash player on browser, i think it's about 7 years that they are working on it, i think it's enough time to change the whole parts of INTERNET, not only another version of a simple player
another issue is that always at the middle of my work, my display driver stop working, i downloaded the latest one, but i found it out that it is an issue related to MINEFIELD and nothing else.
(i have 64 bit systems since 7 years ago and always i have many problem with softwares and applications, but i've never have any problem with firefox ( at least i think) till these days with mine field,)

My advice is to stick with the latest release version of Firefox 3.6.12, and leave the 64-bit pre-release builds alone until they are actually released. At this point the 64-builds of Minefield aren't anywhere near ready for use by the average user, and the other software may not be refined enough and might be contributing to your problems.

iphone 6 came with 8.x. From what I have been reading 8.1 was a positive update for people who already have 8.0. Those people with 7.x, I'd wait. People are still reporting:
-- wifi problems
-- video mirroring problems.
-- slow down of their device.

Many bugs in OAM 11.1.2 IdP screen

Hi All,
we are in the process of setting up a external IdP,treating OAM as SP,
In the OAM screen when we try to create a new IdP, there are two ways,
1) create from IdP meta data (updload)
2) manual creation
When we try to upload external idP meta data, it fails with Nullpointer exceptions, sometimes, it says successfully saved, but when we logout and come back, changes are not there,
All we can tell at this point is, this whole Oralce OAM federation related stuff got many bugs,
If anyone successful in this exercise, please let us, I doubt

OAM_REMOTE_USER is set to CN from LDAP. Oracle Access Manager Identity Asserter is responsible for adding this attribute in the header. You can go to WebLogic Application server that has asserter. It will display header variable name and along with other options to change if needed.

Is it just me or does iMovie have too many bugs especially with Ken Burns

Has anyone else been experiencing the same amount of problems with iMovie 6 as myself?
Random crashes every so often (iMovie has closed unexpectically), it seems to happen every time I've forgatten to save my movie for a while.
Constant problems with Ken Burns rendering ...
Frequent white flashes in between frames ... after a picture has been rendered, especially in HD. To the point that I can't create movies in 720 dv because I will always get static frames here and there.
Static rendering with some images with Ken Burns (diffrent from previous problem) , it seems to effect photos from some digital cameras more then otheres, but I have seen this problem affect just about every photo source. With my photos especially I can't use the Ken burns effect, because I get problems atleast 50%.
And all these problems are happening on my new (current generation) ibook. I've combed through the forums and tried just about every possible solution, reinstalled imovie, repatched it, deleted preferences, installed from a friendssdvd instead of mine, etc ... but I still keep getting these problems. Anything short of reverting back to iLife 5 doesn't work, which ofcourse defeats the whole purpose of gettin iLife 6.
Don't get me wrong a like the new features in iMovie 6, but I'm really finding it impossible to work with it.
Maybe iMovie 6 simply doesn't run well on iBooks?

Major bunch of iMovie 09 bugs

This is sort of difficult to explain. iMovie 09 (latest updates too) seems to really hate me. Do you know when you start to skim a video, and the red bar appears along your cursor as you skim, well that doesn't happen for me. Also I cant trim video since no handles appear at the end of my video. In fact, I can't even select video, since the video never appears to be selected. If I add a title to my video, I have to restart the entire application in order for the title to appear on the timeline. Also, selecting photos is a no no, I just get a big white block for photos. There are many more bugs to (too many to list). Basically my copy of iMovie is exploding with bugs and I don't know why? The thing worked just one week ago but now it hates me. I don't know how to completely delete iMovie, so I could re install it and I know this sounds stupid, how could I reinstall imovie without it effecting all my other iLife apps?

Its alright now, a lot of these problems where fixed with the new update.

Too many bugs to isolate a bug when swithching from Alt-F1 to Alt-F7

First, I consider Linux to be the less buggy OS out there.
Well, Windows would be less buggy, but it does not really exist, since you have to pay to use it.
Still, I use to consider Linux very buggy. This opinion I hold true more than ever.
Here is my box:
A P5GZ-MX motherboard (intel 945GZ), with 1 GB Memory, and an Celeron D @ 2.66 GHz.
Now, the integrated VGA connector is badly soldered, so that I used to put something to hold the cable up to have an image.
This is not the monitor Cable that is broken (I tried an other one and had the same problem).
When this was not enough anymore, I put my box upside-down (reversing side of DVD and HD too), that way gravity would hold the cable up (eh... down).
When this was not enough anymore, I put an old Radeon 7200 (an R100 generation ATI PCI card).
Then, my problems began (eh... I means continue as usual).
Let's begin the story with when I installed Arch Linux (again, well the first time with the Radeon 7200 card), about three weeks ago.
Well, I set the BIOS to prefer the PCI card, to internal one, for what should be now obvious reason.
I installed Xorg... and things were not so bad. Except, one in about 3 times, when switching back from (Ctrl-Alt-F1 console) to (Alt-F7 Xorg).
I would have THE bug. Well, basically, one or many window would be empty. Mouse would move, but not interact with anything on screen. Sometimes mouse is jailed inside a window (cannot move out of a window). Recently (maybe just because Firefox not occupying full screen), I would see that some of the text from (Ctrl-Alt-F1 text console) would appears (very brokenly) under the windows (about 4 times on the screen, in green on black).
I still can swith to text mode with Ctrl-Alt-F1 after bug, and then can use the console.
Nothing interesting would show in Xorg.0.log after the bug happened.
I thought maybe I should try a different window manager. I tried icewm rather than OpenBox (or twm).
At first, I thought OpenBox was the bug, because icewn seems not exhibit THE bug.
But then, I came to the conclusion, that icewm just had made the bug happen one in about twenty (rathen than in three).
So I thought that I should install fbcon and vesa driver too (there were some warning they were not installed).
No change.
Then I thought, maybe I should try with the vesa driver rather than the radeon one.
Surprise:
(EE) VESA(0): V_BIOS address 0x3d810 out of range
(EE) screen found, but none have a usable configuration
Then I thought, I should try with latest kernel. Downloaded it.
Still the bug... with 3.1.1-1-Arch (32 bits BTW).
Ok, so let's stick with radeon. Reading on possible Kernel Mode Setting with Radeon, I created /etc/modprobe.d/radeon.conf with:
options radeon modeset=1
Well, just restarting with startx, show in Xorg.0.log, that KMS was still active.
So, I thought, let's reboot and see.
But I did not see.
Well, my GRUB menu, have NO vga= on the kernel line. So that I boot in plain text (as far as I know).
At first, Linux seems to boot fine, but then not much before when login prompt would appears... screen became totally black.
I realized I was still able to log in without seeing what I do, and 'reboot'.
Ok, try the fallback... not working either.
So basically, my computer still was working, except I would not see anything.
Then I began to think... well, maybe I could try to connect the monitor in the 'badly soldered' internal VGA connector.
Surprise, surprise: the login prompt! Ouf!
Well, strangely I now need to hold the cable up, so that I thought: maybe this is time to put my box down side up (remember, it is already up side down). But, was too lazy for it. I just edited back /etc/modprobe.d/radeon.conf with modese=0, put back the monitor in the Radeon 7200 card, and rebooted.
Things were 'fine' again.
That's when, I thought I should write a message for maybe asking help, but frankly more to publicly complain.

Revised hypothesis:
I now believe that the bug while switching from console back to Xorg is not hardware related, and should probably happens to anyone. Also I have a new procedure that seems to always trigger it:
1) on console (Ctrl-Alt-F1) run startx (without ending & )
2) You should be in Xorg, go back to console with Ctrl-Alt-F1
3) type Enter
4) Type Alt-F7 to go back in Xorg... hopefully for me in bogus state
Now, the message that seems to be written in some titlebars are the same, I think, that I would get when I go back to console and do: Ctrl-C (2 or three times)... then after the bug I would see some:
xterm: Ressource temporarily not available (or something very similar)
About V_BIOS address 0x3d810 out of range I am now convinced it is while loading (initializing) int10 module,
The sad part is that if I add Option "NoInt10" "True" to vesa driver section (doc seems to wrongly suggest to put it in Server section)... then yes, the out of range does not appears, but vesa will continue to unload itself... and finally no usable screen found message would continue to appears. So I suppose Int10 module have become mandatory to vesa rather than optional.

IMovie 09 BUG ? Amendments to Titles not reflected.

Something irritating happens to me in using iMovie '09.
I made a short 5 mins movie, after testing and what not & after being satisfied, I then goto Share > Export Movie, type a filename then press ENTER. A message then appeared and say "Preparing project ...". After 7 mins, the movie is completed.
Then when I played the movie, I realized I don't like the fonts of the titles. So I went back & amend the Title. Then I repeat Share > Export Movie. When I chose the same filename, it asked me whether I want to replace the old file. So, I clicked REPLACE.
When I opened up the file, it played the old movie (meaning the amendment of the title was not reflected). How come it is still playing the old file ?
Fed up, so I tried again, this time deleting the old file before sharing it again. Doesn't work, I tried deleting old file and naming a new file, it also doesn't work. I notice all this time after clicking Share > Export movie, instead of the message "Preparing Project", the message now says "Exporting Movie".
Being too fed up, this time I tried inserting some photos & then took it away & do more amendments. This time when I clicked Share > Export movie, it says "Preparing Project" and it worked !!
I can only conclude that after you clicked Share > Export movie, if the message says "Preparing Project", it will work but you got to pray that the message that comes out is not "Exporting Movie".
Is it a bug that you must make more amendments than just changing the fonts of the Titles ?
Is this a bug ? Or is there some settings that I missed out ?
Any ideas what went wrong ?

I don't see prores 422, I do see aic. I tested this the other day and it offers zero compression, but it still gave me a soft output. I must have done something wrong with the settings. I used the preset for HDV 1080i and it still wasn't good. How do i get proress 422. Do i need to have final cut pro? I hope not.

Yet another iMovie 6 bug-Crashing!

Why did I have to upgrade on both my drives? Buggy, buggy, buggy. Transitions don't work properly, neither do video effects and it has a tendency to crash. But, hey, great-looking box!
I wish instead of coming out with all these fancy new features, they'd concentrate on making the software stable.
But, hey, that's just me.

These are projects started in iMovie 6. Yes, I'm having some issues with 3rd party plugins. But they worked fine with the previous version. And, anyway, so few transitions and effects come standard with iMovie—what else are we supposed to do? I'm finding the new preview irritating. It decides for itself when it loops and when it doesn't—so I have to keep turning it off. Sometimes the update feature doen't work. Sometimes I get white frames at the end of pictures placed in the timeline so I have to go back in and clip them off. Updating clips sometimes causes transitions to re-render funny and the whole block has to be removed and recreated. And, in general, the new interface seems fancier but is more cumbersome to work with and takes longer to do projects. I've also had issues exporting finished movies.
In general, it feels like a beta version and I didn't have the sense to wait until the bugs got worked out. My bad. Each first effort seems a little buggy, but this one is the least stable yet. It's almost like the marketing people are telling the programmers when the product is ready rather than the other way around.

Logic 8.02 Crashes often. Too Many BUGS!! Unstable.

There's too many problems with Logic 8.02. It's not stable and keeps crashing. I save often becos I expect it may crash unexpectedly whilst loading plugins.
The final straw for me was when I couldn't even save my session - as saving it actually caused a crash. ha! (what a joke).
In one hour, I've recorded logic crashing atleast 4 to 5 times. This is why I'm making this post. Apple needs to pick up there game and release software that doesn't crash 4 to 5 times. it's lame but I can't do anything about it but wait for apple to fix it. I do push the computer really hard though. For basic stuff, logic 8's stable, but when you add things like space designer followed by other cpu intensive processes that logic starts to crash unexpectedly.
How do we report bugs to apple? I found a few bugs that needs attention.
for example:
1. Opening a plugin in slot 13 renders it useless cos you can't bring up it's graphics interface when double clicking on it.
2. Can't copy an object's name and paste it to another object cos the function "command C" doesn't work after Click on the object with the logic's "text" pointer.
Run the a Mac Pro 8 x 2.8GHz on Mac OS 10.5.4 with large buffer settings.
Has anyone found other bugs? How do we let apple know?

Frustrated with Logic 8.02

In one hour, I've recorded logic crashing atleast 4 to 5 times. This is why I'm making this post. Apple needs to pick up there game and release software that doesn't crash 4 to 5 times. it's lame but I can't do anything about it but wait for apple to fix it.
Vaughn man that s.ucks. You must be ready to throw your machine out the window. However, what you seem to be saying is that this is absolutely positively Logic's fault, and that this MUST BE the norm for Logic. This type of thinking isn't going to get you anywhere. Logic is NOT your only problem, or else we all would be having these problems too! If we all were experiencing what you are experiencing, these forums would have exploded and people would be having bonfires with their Logic boxes and buying Protools systems.
It's been a bumpy ride since Logic 8 and Leopard came out, but VAST MAJORITY OF PEOPLE are reporting VERY GOOD to FANTASTIC performance from Logic 8, using 8.0.2 and 10.5.3 or 10.5.4. This includes a lot of pro's working on very large projects. In fact, I've seen only a couple of posts reporting crashes since 10.5.3 came out. What you are experiencing is NOT normal.
If you want to use Logic, you have to figure out what's going on with YOUR system, because something is wrong with your set-up specifically.
Try trashing Logic's prefs and repairing disk permissions. If you're working on old projects made with previous versions, or old autoload projects, try starting with a fresh slate. There have been issues with old projects and autoloads. Try a big project with only Logic's internal plugs, as there have been some incompatibility issues with 3rd party plugs. Make sure you have all updates for those. Not saying that Logic will only work with it's own stuff, but there may be one plug that's causing all your problems, and you have to figure out what it is.
Try removing rewire plug ins, especially Melodyne.
If all else fails, reinstall Leopard and Logic. A huge pain, but not as much so as making yourself crazy waiting for the solution to come from the outside.

Is there any way to go back to iOS 6.1.3 on iPhone 4? I'm sick of the bugs that have come with iOS 7. My phone is slow, it randomly calls numbers when it's in my pocket even though voice dialling has been disabled and the amount of crashes I've had have been ridiculous. It is so unstable. Is there anyway to change or is it time I considered jumping ship and going to Android?
