Imovie 10.0.5 itunes library not showing in browser
First time using iMovie on MacBook Air... I'm able to add pictures and transitions to a movie, but when I try to add background music, I click on Content Library, iTunes, and all i see in the browser is the contents of your iTunes library will display here... Can't get the music to display.. How do I fix this?

Films in itunes library not showing as available to sync?
I have around 8 films listed in my itunes library but 6 of them are not showing up as available to sync to my ipod touch. I have bought all the film through itunes with the latest only the other day; it is this film and the previously bought film that are the only ones showing up as available to sync. I have successfully synced film and TV before to my ipod but out of the blue seem to be having trouble this time.
In saying the only 2 are seem to available to sync when I do try to sync them they are not showing up on my device, even though the memory bar of the ipod shows that a number of GB of data has been added; they are there but they're not no matter how much I search my device or tick and untick 'sync' and 'unsync'.
Can anyone help me find out why the films I do 'seem' to be syncing aren't showing up on my ipod touch and why none of my films in my library are showing up for syncing anymore?? Thanks.- Have yo used the Spotlight search on the iPod. Maybe yu just can't find them

I have this issue as well. Just installed my Windows 8 Machine and went to look for all my CD's and iTunes purchases in the iTunes store and can't find them to download to the new PC.

I then proceeded to delete the old folder on my mac that had all of the iTunes files etc., but now when I open iTunes I have an empty library. My external hard drive is plugged in, and when I look at it in finder it shows that it contains all of my music. How can I get iTunes to show my music and playlists without going to the trash and restoring everything? That that would defeat the purpose of moving it to the external hard drive (I want to have more space on my computer). That copies the *iTunes media folder* in /Music/iTunes/.
I then proceeded to delete the old folder on my mac that had all of the iTunes files etc.
So you deleted the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder?
You need the iTunes folder which contains the library files (not necessarily the media files).
If you have a backup, you can restore /Music/iTunes/ without the /iTunes media folder inside. -
ITunes library not showing everything on my disc
I have iTunes 11.0.4.4 and I just notived my library is about 1/3 of what it should be. I also found at least one song under the wrong Album. If I look on my hard drive, I see all the proper albums & songs but iTunes does not. I also notice I all of a sudden of a sudden have a lot of songs with the cloud icon next to them. If I go to play them, I have to wair for iTunes to get them from the cloud. I don't get this because I have never had any action where I have saved songs to the clouds. Any ideas on what is going on here?
Just to get a final rant in, I have been thoroughy disgusted with iTunes since verion 11 first popped up. I take it this is just more crap from this version.I did some looking around and found some files & need to understand how I can repair this. This is what I found:
1. iTunes Library.itl 234K 9/17/2013
2. iTunes Library(Damaged).itl 1,219K 7/04/2013
3. iTunes Library.xml 1248K 9/17/2013
4. iTunes Library 2013-05-28.itl 1200K
I know the last one is a back up & I can probably just rename & move it, then redownload anything I purchased since then. Before I do that I wanted to know if there is a way the damaged file could be repaired? Or can the data in the xml file be considered valid & is there any way to extract that.

Can anyone help with iTunes library not showing on iOS devices?
I cannot view my iTunes library on my iOS devices. The tabs that used to be at the bottom of both the music and video apps are no longer there. My appleTV sees it just fine though. I have tried turning home-sharing off and back on againon both the computer and iOS devices. Quitting apps on the iOS devices, and exiting iTunes on my mac, and restarting them again. Nothing has worked so far. All I get when I bring up either app is "No Content" and the store button. This started before the iOS 7 update. Has anyone seen this yet? Is there a fix for it? Thanks!
I used to see that in iOS6 once in a while. Close the apps and reboot the iPad and then look in the apps again. You know how to close the apps so close them first.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
I had to replace my harddrive on my IMAC and downloads from ITUNES do not show up. How do I restore my previous library?
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for this very occasion. Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup copy, not good, then you can redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:

Content Library not showing. No answer found. It is NOT at the top as some say. Where did it go and where is it? What's the best alternative to this stupid iMovie program. So frustrating. It was working a month ago.
So what happens if you choose to proceed with opening the library?
Do you have a library backup, for example on Time Machine?
I have automatic dated backups of all my iMovie 10 libraries but I can't remember how I set it up and there is no mention of backups in iMovie help. (It is doing the same thing as FCP 10.1 does). I have never tried to restore from them though.

I'm confused....if itunes is basically storing your music for you and you log in, why doesn't that automatically default to your account and display all of you music. What's really strange is, if I have my old laptop on and I am logged into itunes it showed up on my new laptop. But when I log out, it's gone

Use the command File > Add Folder to Library, and point it to the folder(s) where the music is.

If you don’t see your iTunes library in the Source pop-up menu:
Try the following:
Quit both iTunes and iPhoto. Open iTunes first, and then reopen iPhoto.
If you recently installed iLife software, it’s a good idea to open each application in the following order: iTunes, iPhoto, iMovie, and then iDVD.
These applications use one another’s media libraries, and opening the applications in that sequence ensures that you see the most up-to-date versions of your music library, photo library, and Movies folder no matter which application you’re using.
If you still don’t see your iTunes library, try this:
Quit iPhoto, iMovie, iDVD, and iTunes.
In the Finder, locate your iTunes folder.
It is usually in [Home]/Music/iTunes or [Home]/Documents/iTunes. If it’s not there, search for it.

The same thing happens in both iMovie and iDVD – no iTunes LIbrary available.
There seems to be something fundamentally wrong with my iTunes Library: I dont have an iTunes Media File folder, (which my Macbook Pro running Snow Leopard has).
My iMac (Lion) has the following path: Home/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music/and then a list of music which is not what is presently in iTunes, it is some previous state of my iTunes library.
The Macbook pro has the following path: Home/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Music/ and then a list of music which is as in iTunes.
iTunes itself works OK, although some files, mainly podcasts have become lost files which can't be played.
Any advice?i have been running out of space on my hard drive because of my itunes library. i purchased an external and found a site outlining how to move it and did so. it calls for moving the main folder but not the album artwork or the xml file.
i open iphoto, create a photo slideshow and when i go to choose a song, it shows me the list but gives an error when i choose it. i had no problems previously, so i assume it's because the program cannot find the songs because the files are now on the external drive. i research and several sites say to delete the xml file and create a new playlist in itunes to redirect the files. this did not work and now i'm not sure what to do besides just moving it back to my hard drive and dealing with the space issues some other way. -
Please read the title; itunes match has removed my playlists on itunes and iphone and the songs that are supposedly 'matched' on itunes are not showing up on my iphone.
Any Really annoyed about thisiTunes Match does not have the ability to remove local files.
The service operates by comparing the selected iTunes Library with the iTunes Store content and 'matching' or 'uploading' - it is very straightforward a 'match' provides equivalent access to iTunes Store content as a recognised 'purchase'; upload simply copies a 256k AAC variant into the cloud. There are no elements of this activity that can erase the local library content.
Would suggest you explore possible alternative causes of file loss. Given the pattern described of selective deletion, leaving many Songs intact - would suggest making at least 2 secure offline Song file backups and starting the library again from a fresh install of iTunes once a thorough sweep of the system has been completed for virus. It is also worth assessing the physical security of the system - who has access & with what privileges.
To access Songs from the cloud, you would have to manually delete the Song from the library or open an empty library - so even when accessing content, iTunes Match provides no local deletion capability. -
Movies in my iMac's iTunes do not show up Apple TV(1st Gen)
So frustrated. Movies in my iMac's iTunes do not show up on my Apple TV(1st Gen) in the Shared Movie area. I've done the Media Type fix to "movie." I've re-started and re-booted and changed the Apple TV from ethernet to wireless and re-connected iTunes. Renamed the library. Everything's up to date. Grrr.
I have now restored Factory Settings on the Apple TV. Looked promising until iTunes hangs everytime I tried to enter the podcast page of the sync options. And I get errors that my newest movies, created in Final Cut Pro X with the Share with 720p Apple Devices export settings are not compatible with Apple TV.
