IMovie 11 and Canon XF Codec used in Canon XF300 and 305

Does anyone know if iMovie11 will support the new video codec Canon is using their just-released professional camcorders, the XF200 and 305?
Canon's description states:
"Canon's adaptation of MPEG-2 for the XF305 Professional Camcorder, named the Canon XF Codec, ensures the widest compatibility with existing industry infrastructure and non-linear editing (NLE) systems. And by using an MXF file wrapper, video and audio can be wrapped in a single file along with important metadata. No, it will not work in iMovie.
This is a bit of a mismatch. A $7500 camera with a $20 editing app.
You can edit with this camera using Final Cut Pro and ProRes422 intermediate codec.

Having said that, if you have Final Cut Pro installed on, say, a Mac Pro with a fast eSata drive array, it might be worth trying in iMovie, just to see. But you would need FCP just to get the codec.

You have 10.6 on that machine, I suggest you stick with it for performance, third party hardware and software reasons as long as possible.
Consider 10.8 (not 10.7) when it's released, because 10.7 and 10.8 will require a new investment in software and newer third party hardware as it requires newer drivers the old machines won't have. (forced upgrade because of software, really nice of them)

Far as your Safari problem do these things until it's resolved:
1: Software Update fully under the Apple menu.
2: Check the status of your plug-ins and update (works for all browsers) also install Firefox and see if your problems continue. You should always have at least two browsers on the machine just in case one fails.

Update: my PC USB hub was connected to a USB 3 port, I connected the 30 pin cable directly to my PC, And the restore worked just fine. Restored phone from iCloud backup and seems to be working fine.

When talking about a specific image posting the image may be useful.
One can use a Layer Mask and add a white Layer underneath.

How do I make one (and only one) device use my Apple ID and iCloud account? If you want to disconect your Mac from iCloud, go to System Preferences>iCloud and click Sign Out. If you only want to stop using iCloud email, just uncheck Mail. In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iCloud account on your iOS device, you need to delete the account from your iOS device first, then add it back using your updated details. (Settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit "Delete Account")
In order to change your Apple ID or password for your iTunes account on your iOS device, you need to sign out from your iOS device first, then sign back in using your updated details. (Settings > store, scroll down and tap your ID)

When I mess with the setting on my mac mini, it goes from saying that that is one of the devices to my macbook pro being the 2nd device. I think that something happened as a result of my using the migration assistant and now it thinks that my macbook pro and my mac mini are one and the same computer. Any ideas?

In going over this, thanks to "tallking it out" with you, I did discover the Text Edit problem. Because I've still been unable to get the new computer text size (fonts or whatever) to match the old computer, I did not notice that the curser is now different--the line midway down the curser has to be placed on the line I am working upon, otherwise the edits go elsewhere on the page. Now, with a bit of difficulty, I am able to get Text Edit to work correctly.
If you have any ideas as to why my menu bar and Text Edit type are still so slow, I'd love to have them.
(I went through the process you suggested earlier, re my Trackpad preferences, and found no improvement.)

I went to download some songs from her ITunes and it not only downloaded all of her songs on my phone but also her apps. I do not want her apps. When I went to use the apps that I had on my phone before downloading her ITunes information, they would not open and only go back to the main screen. When I access her apps, they work. Help!!! How can I restore my settings and just take all of the information that I downloaded from her ITunes out and set my own ITunes on the same computer. Any help would really be appreciated.

Importing and editing raw files using a Canon 70D

I have a new Canon 70D. If I upgrade to photoshop elements 12 will I be able to import raw files using this camera without using plug ins. It would not import raw files off a 70D in elements 11 but would for my older ?Canon 60D. Has this been corrected??
