Imovie 13 song volume adjust

seems like the volume adjust for songs added to iMovies only has one ajductment option; grabing the line and using mouse or track pad to move it up or down. it is very sensative. is there another way to adjust volume like older imovie versions? i box where i can type a percent?

Find the song in your iTunes library, highlight it, and click File>Get Info. Then, click on the Options tab. The first option offered on there is a volume adjuster that will only affect that specific song. Once you've changed your settings, just connect your iPod and update it again, and everything should be good.
Best wishes,

  • Any new technology for volume adjustment so all songs sound the same?

It's the age old question about volume adjustment and playback - when all songs sound different. And we all know the sound check feature doesn't work that well - especially when you have songs in different bit rates. I play my iPod over a very large sound system and the differences in volume are shocking.
It doesn't look like anything works, after all these years. Someone recommended putting ALL the songs up to 100% in the volume adjustment ... but that can't possibly work, can it?
Have there been ANY improvements in sound adjustment??? Or am I still stuck adjusting each song myself?

Are you speaking from experience? From what I've seen, it's 30 bucks ... with mixed reviews. I use the iPod for broadcasting over a large sound system - maybe it's not the way to go (as some have recommended NOT using iPods to broadcast over public places) - but is there ANY foolproof method? If iVolume does, indeed, work ..... I have no problem shelling out $30 for it. Or is the human ear still the way to go??? (I currently, painstakingly, adjust each song - one by one!)

  • Volume Adjustment per Instrument

I am working on some music in Audition, and what I really need to know is if there is a way to speed up or slow down a piece during specific parts of a piece without changing the overall speed. Gradually, of course. Instantaneously is not very good music-wise.
I also want to know how to adjust the volume of individual instruments (gradually as well) during individual parts of the song without adjusting the entirety of the instruments' volume through the piece.
    Thanks in advance, guys
    =)

There is no really good way to change tempos. I have created a session at one tempo, rendered or exported a mix down then import that to a new session at a different tempo. I have also set markers at my differing tempo positions and time stretched or shrank the clips between those markers to fit the new tempo. There is no dedicated session tempo lane or tempo markers as in Reaper, Cubase, Studio One, ect.
As for the volume try opening up the volume envelope. You can directly add nodes to the envelope for volume evolutions. Or look in the manual for Automating track settings. That will give you a really good idea of all the different track automations, besides volume.

  • HT204019 Missing "volume adjust" in Ringtones section of new iTunes 12.0

My iTunes is at its most updated format, 12.0.1.26 How do I increase the volume of a ringtone now?
In the past, I've made many of my own ringtones using 30-second clips of the songs. Today, when I finished making the ringtones and then imported them into my library, I couldn't find the "volume adjust" slider in the Options tab of "Get Info". It used to be there. When ringtones would first import in, they would always be a little quieter so I had to turn up the volume adjustment.
That volume slider is no longer in its usual/original place. Is it somewhere else in iTunes?

I'm having a similar issue, but cannot see anything to do with airplay in the SysPref > Sound menu.  My mac is too old to run Yosemite, so looking to find another way to get this fixed.  Any ideas?

  • Glitch with iTunes Volume Adjustment.

I'm having this tiny glitch with the volume adjustment feature in iTunes. I have certain songs that are too soft, so I turned the volume adjustment on those songs to 100%. I sync those songs to my iPhone 3GS running 5.0.1. However, after those songs finish playing, the next song that plays will also be adjusted to 100%, even when I didn't make it that way. Only way to rectify this is to choose another song from my music list on my iPhone, making the volume back to normal.
It's a minor annoyance, but one nonetheless. I have my playlist on shuffle, and everytime I hear a song which I know I adjusted to 100%, I know I have to choose another song from my playlist because the next song that comes after that will be insanely loud.
If anyone can provide me with a solution, it is greatly appreciated.

Never mind, resyncing seems to have solved the problem.

  • Imovie song does not start at the beginning after I edited the duration of the clip

my imovie song does not start at the begining after I edited the duration of my clips. The audio clip now starts in the middle of the song. This is occuring with the second song in my video. How do I adjust the audio to start at the beginning of the song.

For pop ups. From your Safari menu bar click Safari > Preferences then select the Security tab.
    Select:  Block pop-up windows
safari starts always with top page even I have apple.com as a starting window
Back to Safari > Preferences. This time select the General tab. You can reset your homepage from there.
history its not saving or at least not showing when i press the thingy that looks like a little book on the tools bar
That icon represents your Bookmarks not history.
To view history, from your Safari menu bar click History > Show History
Or Option + Command + 2 on your keyboard.

  • Song volume

I just wanted to know how to adjust the volume on a specific song because when im listening to my ipod, that song may pop up and it just explodes in my ear. So i was just wondering if anyone knows how to change the volume settings for just 1 specific song

  • Does moving 'Volume Adjustment' slider up (to the right) cause distortion?

Bought a lot of songs on iTunes and also imported several hundred CDs. Want to adjust the volume on some to boost the quiet tracks and lower the loud ones so everything plays at basically the same volume. Don't want to use Sound Check. Does moving the "Volume Adjustment" slider up (to the right) under "Options" in "Get Info" cause distortion? Hoping it's more like what the name says - just a boost to the playback only volume for that one track and doesn't cause the original digital recording to go into the red.

    Check out -> iVolume
    Works great.

    It can easily do this.

  • Volume adjustment option does not work when ipod is in cradle?!

I have my entire mp3 collection "mp3-gained" to get a balanced volume level in all my songs. As this does not work for purchased songs from the itunes store I adjusted the volume levels of these songs significantly down using the volume adjustment option in itunes. This works perfectly fine when listening over headphones, but when I put the ipod in the cradle or in a jbl Radial the purchased songs scream at me like crazy while the others keep a moderate volume level. So obviously the dock output is controlled differently then the ear phones output?! Is there a way to get the same volume control over the dock output?
    ipod 80GB

    Nope! Neither nor!
I initially used soundcheck but I was not satisfied with the quality. So I used the already existing mp3gain tags (that worked perfectly with my rockboxed IRiver) and used mac mp3gain to change the files to a balanced level. This meant I had to switch off soundcheck as it still kept the old (and now wrong) results.

  • ITunes / iPod randomly changes the "Volume Adjustment" setting to -100%

This is a strange, unnerving problem I've run into recently. I hope someone can help!
A few (5% or so?) of my song files were nearly inaudible after transferring them to my iPod - even though they sounded fine before the move. I finally (after deleting many good files) discovered that the "Volume Adjustment" setting on these files was somehow moved all the way down to -100%. Does anyone know how or why this might be happening?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The same thing goes for the EQ Preset setting.

  • Start/end times and volume adjust to CD

i am a music studio mix engineer and i am working on an order for an album i recently finished. i love how i can trim songs with the "start/stop time" feature unique to each song. and the unique volume adjustment for each song is great. is there any way to get these preferences/tweaks you've made (which are audible when you play them in itunes) to make their way to disk when you burn that playlist as a CD in itunes? or when you xfer the files/playlist to your ipod... i don't hear these start/stop/volume tweaks. or the EQ for that matter.. but i'm less concerned with the EQ side, they are all flat.
    thanks!

If you 'convert' those shortened songs, the copies will only contain the part as set by start/stop times.
You can 'convert' to the same format as the originals.
If you're working on AIFF files there will be no quality loss.
Volume adjustments and equalizer settings are for playback only. These settings are not 'copied' when the songs are burned to CD
    Hope this helps.

  • Volume Adjustment of iTunes downloads on Apple TV

In the iTunes program you can manually adjust each song or video you have downloaded by selecting the song/video then goto file, goto get info, goto option, goto volume adjustment, and adjust the volume output on the sliding bar. This enables you to set a standard dB level, instead of some songs being too loud and others being too quiet.
Has anyone found if this adjustment can be made to music videos download directly to the Apple TV from the iTunes store?
I would like to adjust the dB output of each song directly on the Apple TV, instead of syncing to my PC or MacBook and adjusting each song then syncing back to the Apple TV.

You can normalise the audio volume on the tv by turning on the sound check option (Settings/A&V/Sound Check)

  • Song volume sliders greyed out

I've just installed iTunes 9.0.2 to Windows 7, and though the install appeared to go just fine, some of the songs now have their options completely deactivated, such as their individual volume adjustment, EQ presets, and ability to make part of a gapless album. All of these options are grayed out on some songs, and for others they're still active.
I've authorized the account, made sure sound check is off, and there's no correlation between deactivated options and purchased songs, since both purchased and uploaded songs have this same problem. Is there some other option in iTunes I'm missing?

Check to see if the files are read only, or if they are in a fodler where your account does not have write access permission.
