  • IDVD 7.0.3 will not import photos from iPhoto

I created a movie with iMovie 06 and imported it into IDVD 7.0.3. All of my chapters imported fine and I was able to import music from iTunes but when I try to get a photo from iPhoto using the media tab, the program says it is accessing iphoto but the photos do not load (at least in the 10 or so minutes I've waited. Anyone know of a solution?
    Thanks

  • IPhoto 8.1.2 will not accept photos from iPhoto 9.5.1

To begin with I purchased a new 13" MacBook Pro and messed up somewhere in the installation process.
    I have an iMac
      Model Name:          iMac
      Model Identifier:          iMac5,1
Processor Name:          Intel Core 2 Duo
    With OS X 10.6.8
    iPhoto 8.1.2
      Processor Speed:          2 GHz
    and a 13" MacBook Pro
      Model Name: MacBook Pro
      Modle Identifier: MacBookPro 9.2
    With OS X 10.9.3
AND 2 copies of iPhoto (8.1.2 & 9.5.1) as listed in System Information, which apparently copied over when I copied to MacBook Pro from Time Capsule.
         1. I copied photos from MacBook to the iMac (using a 8 GB Thumb drive) but I was not successful.
I believe I deleted the photo library on the iMac and tried to copy it back from the MacBook.
         2. When I try to Open iPhoto I get an alert: You can't open your current photo library using this version of iPhoto.
You have made changes to your photo library using a newer version of iPhoto. Please quit and use the latest version of iPhoto.
Question 1. How can I return to the original iPhoto program on my iMac?( I have the original iLife DVD).
Question 2. How can I restore and/or salvage the photos presently on my MacBook Pro and install them on my iMac?

No early version of iPhoto can open a Library from a later version.
You can try revert the Library with iPhoto Library Manager

  • HT1338 iMovie will not load photos from iPhoto, how do I fix this?

I am using a brand new MacBook Pro, have read other comments about this problem but found no solution.  What's up with this issue?  I want to make a slide show using iMovie, like I've done dozens of times with my older macs, am having NO luck with this new iMovie.  Paid a lot of $ for this new computer, what's the deal Apple?

I noticed you have a viewer plugin from that site. Could you check whether it is set to "click to play"? If so, you could try having it always activated.
Open the Add-ons page using either:
    * Ctrl+Shift+a
    * orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Plugins. Look for "Musicnotes Viewer" and if it says "Ask to Activate", change it to "Always Activate". Then return to the site and reload to see whether it works.
While you are on the Add-ons page... I noticed you have an extension named Media Watch that many users consider unwanted software or even a virus.
On the Add-ons page, if you click Extensions in the left column, can you find Media Watch remove it?
If the Remove button is missing, you probably need to remove some software using the Windows Control Panel, Uninstall a Program. Click the "Installed on" column heading to bring the most recent additions to the top. This typically will reveal that a bundle of (undisclosed) programs was installed along with something you actually wanted. Remove as much as possible here.
Then you can supplement your regular security software with the scanners/cleaners listed in this support article: [[Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware]].

  • I can not import photos from PC to my Ipad, it says iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPad

I can not import photos from my PC to the iPad, it says  iTunes will no longer sync photos to the iPad

YES Terence!  Thank you. Exporting allowed me to move my photos from iPhoto into the Burn Folder on my desktop.   But that doesn't explain why I'm having to go that route now.   Have I done something (accidentally changed some setting) on my computer that will not allow me to just click and drag anymore?   I really liked the convenience of the click and drag option.
I don't have the time tonight to export and burn a lot of CD/DVDs.  I'll try that tomorrow and make sure my photos are moving properly.  I also need to export photos to my external hard drive to make sure that route is working.
Wouldn't you know that my Apple Care Plan runs out this Wednesday?!  I need to make sure everything is working properly before that expires.
Thank you so much for your help.   I really, really appreciate it.

  • Iphoto 9.5 won't import photos from iPhoto 7.5.  Library will not update using the iPhoto library upgraded application.

iphoto 9.5 won't import photos from iPhoto 7.5.  Library will not update using the iPhoto library upgrader application.  Repeatedly says it can't locate photos even when told to cancel.  I think the photos in question are in Nikon RAW format.

iPhoto 9.5 immediately tries to "upgrade" my library using the upgrader.
iPhoto 9.5 asks you to run the upgrader to prepare the library for 9.5. It then will update the library to its format.
You need to do the following:
1 - go to your Applications/Utilities folder and double click on the iPhoto Library Upgrader 1.1 application.
2 - select Choose Library, navigate to your iPhoto library, select it and let the upgrader do its thing.
3 - launch iPhoto 9.5 to open and finish the conversion of the library.

  • I downloaded the newest version of camera raw for LR. I have LR4 and can not import photos from my new Nikon D750. The download  said it was sucessful but I still can not import photos.

I downloaded the newest version of camera raw for LR. I have LR4 and can not import photos from my new Nikon D750. The download  said it was sucessful but I still can not import photos.

Lightroom doesn't use the Camera Raw plug-in. So downloading the latest Camera Raw didn't do anything at all for you. The only way to update or upgrade Lightroom is to obtain the latest version. If you have Lightroom 4 then the last version of Lightroom you can have at no additional cost is Lightroom 4.4.1. If the camera you are using requires anything newer than what is supported and that version of Lightroom then it will require an upgrade to Lightroom 5.

When is Apple going to update their software to run iTUNES & iPOD using the latest 64 BIT computer proessors?

  • Lightroom 4.1 will not import video from the Olympus OM-D EM-5

Here's a post concerning 5D MKIII file corruption, which may also be due to a camera malfucntion. Yes, there could be something wrong with your camera.

    SUGGESTION:
Install the Canon EOS Utility that came with your camera. Also check for an updated version of the EOS Utility after the install. You need to install from the CD first before you can install any updates.
    http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/products/cameras/slr_cameras/eos_5d_mark_iii#Driver sAndSoftware
If the EOS Utility can download the CR2 files to your hard drive, then your camera is not defective.

  • Itunes v12.1 itunes will not sync photos from photoshop 12

Since I downloaded itunes v12.1, itunes will not sync photos from Photoshop 12 to my iphone 5, 6+ and older Apple TV (with hard Drive). Prior to the itunes software update, all was well.  itunes indicates "0" photos available from Photoshop when there are over 7,000 photos on my desktop. I tried uninstalling itunes and reinstalling - no success. Perhaps itunes v13 may fix the problem, meanwhile , any suggestions.

I link to it in th epost above yours.

    Scroll down to;
Then click Mac, or whatever one is applicible to you.
Be warned though. After synced, successfully, with iTunes 11.1, i ended up with over 10GB's of 'Other' data on my iphone. I had to do a factory reset (From iTunes/iPhone/Summary). It's been a pain in the ***, but it all seems fine now. But it has taken me hours. An di now have a headache.
Also, a factory reset will remove ALL your data, and i mean EVERYTHING! You've spend the rest of the day putting everything back the way you like it, and setting up all your setting again.
    Pain in the ***.

  • Importing photos from iphoto into idvd

I am trying to import photos from iphoto into idvd for a slideshow. When the photos move into idvd they are not in the same order as they were in the iphoto library. What could be the possible cause of this?? I did go into iphoto and place comments in after the fact. Would that have anything to do with it?

Try this possible solution from acgray on Mac OS X Hints:
I have worked with many users who like to take iPhoto albums and make DVDs of them with iDVD. However, one very annoying bug (feature?) has to do with the fact that when you are in iDVD, it randomizes the sort order of the Photos in your album. Not only that, but it is painstaking and time consuming changing the order in iDVD.
    My solution..
Select All in the album in iPhoto you want to use in iDVD as a slideshow. Then use File -> Export -> File Export. The secret is to select "Use Album Name" as this will rename the images in sequential order, based on the order that you put them in. Save them in their own new folder somehwere easy to find (ie on the Desktop).
Then, in iDVD, either drag, or I believe you can import the entire folder into the Slideshow project window, and voila! your slides are in order. I believe you can throw away the folder with the exported images as they should now be saved into the Project, but don't quote me on that.

  • Dropbox "Import Photos from iPhoto" Killing HD Space?

I just up-graded to 1 TB Dropbox Pro account (Dropbox 2.10.41, Yosemite 10.10) and hoped that "Import Photos from iPhoto" (under preferences -> import) would be a great way of backing-up my iPhoto library without the hick-ups reported in this forum when moving the library folder to a dropbox folder.
It seems though that now all my photos are not only copied to the cloud but also duplicated on my local hard drive
Right or wrong? If right, that would be ridiculous because it would kill HD space unnecessarily, wouldn't it?

Thank you for your prompt response!
I am aware that Dropbox is not a feature of iPhoto, and I have spent considerable time researching the web to find an answer to my question before posting here - but I didn't find an answer.
I also found the link on aurelio.net which you have posted, but even after reading it twice, it does not seem to answer the question of duplicating photos on the local HD.
I highly appreciate the quality of this forum with an outstanding level of expertise, and I thought the expert Mac users might be able (and willing) to provide some advice even if Dropbox is not an Apple product.
