IMovie 9 can't display trailer templates correct

I've just installed iLife 11 on my 24 inch iMac early 2009. I've noticed that iMovie 9 won't display the trailer templates correctly.
I'm creating a new project selecting one of the trailer templates. As soon as i click on one of them a preview starts in the small window. I can see that a lot oft stuff ist missing or can't be displayed correctly. i'm missing the backgrounds of the "paramount" and "universal" shaped intro, Text ist missing, background of text is missing, transition effects are missing etc.
Even so when i select the template and start editing the trailer the result is the same, iMovie wont display the trailer correctly in the preview window. Same goes after exporting the project to a movie file.
I think this must be a problem with the iMacs graphichs hardware (ATI raedon HD4850) or the driver which is used. I've installed iLife several times again but the problem still presists. I've also installed iLife 11 form the same DVD on my alu MacBook late 2009 and on this machine everything seems to be fine.
Is there another soulution instad of waiting until Apple will update iLife 11 or it's ATI graphic drivers?

I cannot, however solve my problem with the solution you Mr. Ash provided. Has anyone been able to solve this issue with any other work around? The trailer is missing some of the Text in windows 2 & 3, also the start template will not display correctly. When see the trailer in the project list, it does show the start template, but does not play back that way. If anyone can help or post their solution I would be most appreciative.

Hi Steven, It sounds like you are on the right track to get the Chinese data to appear up correctly in the report. Can you tell me if you are using the JSF viewer or the JSP viewer?From what the developers are telling me the following should work:For JSP viewers to set content type correctly you can either use <%@ page contentType="text/html;charset=UTF-8" %> Or response.setContentType("text/html;charset=UTF-8âu20AC) or simply call viewer.setOwnPage(true); if it not necessary to blend with other pages. For JSF viewer the third option is not available.What does your JSP page code look like? Also, what does the output look like?Finally, one last thing is to ensure that the font you are using in the report is available to the engine at runtime. This will mean that it wll need to be installed on the application server where your JSP page is running. Give this a try and let me know what you find. Fctix can't display Chinese character correctly

After last system upgrade,my gnome-shell updates from 3.8.1 to 3.8.2,then I find some character in the fcitx window is replaced by squares,as shows in here.

I suppose there's something wrong with the font,since gnome-terminal also has the problem and I change its font from "Inconsolata" to "WenQuanYi" thus fix it.
Same problem also occur in my chromium bookmarks folder names and the chromium title bars,and after change some system font through gnome-tweak-tool,it seems that everything is OK.
But all of these can't fix the problem of fcitx.
I am confused and can't figure out what the system upgrade changes my system config.
I also wonder how can I change the Chinest font of fcitx,for the fcitx-configtool just open ~/.config/fcitx/config but I don't know how to edit it!There is no item about "font"!

And, a strange thing is : If view the PO document by the 'Preview' button of the template in BI publisher administrator responsibility, The font of the PDF result is 'Albany SC WT'.

Date can not display correctly in excel from .jsp

Hi,
I create a .jsp report to export the data to excel. the report run OK, except the date field can not display correctly.
for example in database :start date ='01-oct-2003'
in the except it displays to 02/06/02.
It seem all the date field can not be control in the report, and control by somthing else

I tried to do the same, and inserted a database date field in the JSP using Reports. I found the following:
While making the template inside Excel, if I make sure that the format of the date cells is "Date" - some particular date format, the date field values from Reports does not get exported correctly.
However, if you make sure that inside the template, the format of the date cells is not date, but "General", then the date field values are correctly exported to Excel.
Pl try it and let us know.

Is it possible to create a custom trailer template? I would like to create a drag and drop template for a very specific repeatable short form video project. The idea is that i can provide the template to a wide range of people and they can populate with content and send back in a standardized format.
Is that possible?

Thanks for the response. I have googled and just did again. Lots on how to make templates and how to convert trailers to editable content, but i can't find anything on creating a fully custom trailer that would walk a user through the creation of content in a formulaic way like the iMovie trailers do. If you happened to have a link or any other direction, i would appreciate it.

You can make the following query on the result page:
"select * from the_table where movietitle = ? and cinema = ?"
then you set movietitle and cinema to those which the user selected. If the resultset contains more than 0 rows, that means the movie is available.
Below is the sample code, it assumes you have a connection to the database:

How can i display Waveform chart in a subpanel using Vi templates.

I am new to Labview hence need some help. I am trying to develop an application which reads some data from a Wireless Sensor Network (WSN). The WSN consists of base station connected to the USB port which recieves data from other sensor nodes. The data comes in a certain format. Node name, temperature reading, humidity reading etc. I want to read the data from the serial port and based on the Node name, i want to display the information for each node in s separate window or subpanel etc. So if a new node is detected then a new window is created for that node. Since all the nodes have the same sensors on board i only need a one template. I can read the data using the serial port, parse the data to detect which node it is and also what the sensor readings are. I have created a template VI for the sensor node. I am having problems in displaying the template VIs in a subpanel. I can succesfully display a Waveform graph in the subpanel but i am having problems in displaying a waveform chart in the subpanel. I can see the actual waveform chart in the subpanel, but i cannot see the plot. Would be greatful if someone could point out what i am doing wrong here.

I think i have solved the problem. It seems like i was running the Vi in a loop. I have taken the Run Vi outside the while lopp and this works fine. Also i need to close the reference at the end.

How can I display JTextFields correctly on a JPanel using GridBagLayout?

I had some inputfields on a JPanel using the boxLayout. All was ok. Then I decided to change the panellayout to GridBagLayout. The JLabel fields are displayed correctly but the JTextField aren't. They are at the JPanel but have a size of 0??? So we cannot see what we type in these fields... Even when I put some text in the field before putting it on the panel.
How can I display JTextFields correctly on a JPanel using GridBagLayout?

TEMPLATE.fmb: Custom form can't display any system message

I was using the template.fmb to create a new custom form. It works fine, BUT it can't display any system message such as ""FRM-40400 Transaction complete: 1 record applied and saved"

I am having a similar problem on my machine. I was using Word 2008 and I created a PDF inside Word.
I am opening the file on the system itself and I am running Windows 8.1. I am using Version 11 of Reader.
When the PDF I created (my resume) attempts to open, it says: cannot find or create the file Times, Bold. Some characters may not display or print correctly.
However, the entire Reader keeps freezing and will not allow me to open or test print the document. Also, it is not displaying any of the Bold Times New Roman Print. Can you please help? Thanks.
