Imovie 9 kept freeze after I press play
I made slideshow via imvoie. It was working fine when I clicked to play but few days later, it doesn't work. When I clicked play I get imvoie quit unexpedectly over and over. I even tried to make new project, the imovie software shut down and said imovie quit unexpectedlly. Any advise what I should. I have iMovie 9 version 8.0.6

Changing the preferences in iMovie>Preferences won't prevent iMovie from quitting unexpectedly. Deleting the actual preference file from the Library/Preferences folder is what usually helps - but, alas, not in your case unfortunately. Just set the preferences to whatever settings you prefer. For the General and Browser options, I usually have mine set as follows:

Try waiting a few minutes, or longer, to see if the beachball goes away. Start up iTunes, then go do something else for awhile. Perhaps iTunes is going some overdue bookkeeping and once you let it do it it will work again.

When i create an iDVD everything goes great until I put it into the dvd player and press play. When this happens it does not play and the menu keeps repeating as it is supposed to. The only way to get it to work is to press stop then press play.

Can be so much - so I can only guess randomly.
• iDVD pref files got corrupted - trash it and try again
• Cheap DVD-Brands are used - gives all kinds of problems - I only use Verbatim
• Type of DVD used - I use DVD-R (never +/-RW)
• Free space on Start-up (Mac OS) hard disk ? - I never go under 25Gb free space when using SD-Video and guess that x5 more will do when HD-material is used
• THE iDVD BUG - If You make an iDVD project - then go back to video-editor iMovie or FinalCut - iDVD will notice this and as You to up-date. THIS SET'S OFF - the iDVD BUG - all Chapters starts as Chapter one and other things goes wrong. Start a brand new iDVD project. To do this keep Option key down during up-start (alt-key) of iDVD.

Can anybody advise me? I have bought the game "Dress Up Rush HD" and after downloading the game and ready to play, it just hung there.My music can be played in my iMac and iPad itunes, but not my iPhone4.
i did what you have suggested to unsync the music and then re-sync again. should i try to cancel all the music in the library and then restore them again. can it work? i dont want to bet coz reloading so much music is very trouble. -
JButton "freezes"after being pressed

I have a button which triggers an action take takes tool long to procceed... I`ve put this action inside a separate thread, but even this way the button stays "pressed" until the action is finished.
Also i`m having problems with JProgressBar, I think the reason is the same: It only changes when the action is finished...
Is there any known action to avoid this behaviour?!

I am using imovie 09 and when I try to play the scenes from my hd camcorder the video freezes then audio freezes and the play bar keeps going with no video or audio. How Can I fix this??? PLEASE HELP!
Up front I would say the short answer is "no"... but the long answer is "sort of".
Replicators are part of the Fractal "arsenal" and Motion definitely has those, but I think you would be very hard pressed to come anywhere near the type of fractal imaging as in the Electric Sheep example.
I was able to squeeze the following out of Motion (the base element is a simple square), but by the time it got this far, Motion wouldn't play faster than about 1 frame every 5 or so seconds. At a certain point, you end up having to render movie files in order to see it in action (and that took Motion about 8 minutes for a 12 second project [09 iMac i7].) [If you're interested, I posted a short video of these here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l6Fe_ydfAss. The segments are longer than 12 seconds each because these are designed to loop @12 seconds and each one was looped more than once.]

If you have a faster mac than mine, you might be able to do more than this... and you really don't have access to the Maths that fractal apps have, so depending on your creativity for devising the "root" motif element you may (or may not) be disappointed in what Motion has to offer (it *will* try your patience!) If you would like to experiment anyway, I will explain some of the techniques I used for the above (which are, at best, rudimentary!) Once you get the basics down, you should be able to take off in your own directions.

How do I get iTunes 11 to work as the old iTunes did in this respect: after playing a song in one playlist, I click on another playlist, highlight a song, press play, and get the result of that song playing & that playlist continuing? As it goes now, one clicks on the song in the new playlist where the arrow is and then chooses 'Play Song Next.' So, it plays next, but then the song after that is back in the old playlist. I want to use iTunes smoothly without the extra clicks I've had to do in order to get the playlist to continue. This is music for background while I play the violin at restaurants, and extra clicks and hassle is quite unappreciated, especailly since it worked fine in the previous iTunes.
Thanks.At the top of the playlist where it shows the playlist title and the number of songs, there are two icons. Click the "play" triangle to add the entire playlist to "Up Next", or the "shuffle" symbol to do the same thing but in random order. But the currently playing track will stop playing, and all the songs in "Up Next" will be removed (replaced by the ones from this playlist).
If you hold down the "option" key while clicking those icons, the currently playing song will continue playing, and the new playlist will be added to "Up Next" (above the songs that were already there). -
Flash video in Acrobat X makes scrolling document slow or freeze after playing
I am running an HP Intel Core i7 CPU @2.8 GHz, with 8 GB memory and the 64 bit Windows 7 operating system and using Google Chrome and a Nvidia GeForce GT 220 graphics card that shows:

Dedicated Video Memory: 1024MB
System Video Memory: 0MB
Shared System memory: 3071MB
I made a PDF and inserted a 1 minute flash video into the PDF which has about 3 pages of text.
1. I scroll down to the flash video with no problem...
2. I click on the flash vid and it starts to play, no problem.
3. After it is playing I start to scroll up and down to the other pages and it is fine for a while, but then sometimes the scolling freezes and cannot scroll any more. Also right after the video stops and I try to scroll the scrolling gets stuck. So it hangs for a few seconds but then once the video is stopped I can scroll up and down fine again.
The scrolling limitation appears to be related to the fact the video is playing. But My PC and graphics card are not what I woudl consider 'slow' or out dated.
It seems like quite a bad thing to happen for anyone who reads such a document and plays the video and then decides to start scrolling again to read the text below it.
Leads to a bad user experience...
Does this happen to everyone else out there?
Is there a fix for this?Rich media (Flash, video, 3D, etc.) is stored in the PDF file in compressed form, and is uncompressed at the point of playback (i.e. when the video activates). This introduces a small delay if you're scrolling past a video, and there's not a lot you can do about it.

All my finished projects that are in the Library infected with the same symptoms and it happens only after I went into the problematic project.
I tried to open a new project and everything works
...I also tried throwing Recent Files, in the past It solved the problem ,not this time ...

Freezes after playing video playlist
My 60G freezes after playing my video playlist. I have to wait until the battery runs down then plug it in to reboot it for it to work again. I took it back to Best Buy where I purchased it, and they installed the latest update. They claimed this would fix the problem. Wrong! Any suggestions?

If you know the duration of the video, you can place a navigation button on the timeline at that point so that it appears just after the video finishes playing. However, you may find that on different PCs with different system specs the video may take slightly more or less time to play. -

Its likely to be caused by Ozone5.. many people have reported that plugin is currently quite unstable and are awaiting updates from izotope to fix the problem... No ETA has been given by izotope for the fix however...
Also several of your plugins are out of date (Zebra2, Clariphonic, Ozone itself.. to name but a few,)
Finally, you are running an older version of Logic Pro X (10.0.3)...and I would normally suggest you update to the latest version but... if you have a USB2 audio interface do not update to 10.0.5 at this time.... unless you know it will work correctly with the new version of LPX. -
My project in imovie says source unavailable after I moved the events to the backup drive. It is connected and shows up in the events library. I can see the pictures but they won't play without the source. What do I do.
I moved it because I did not have room on my hard drive to import my latest video. I take videos my grandkids basketball games then edit them as projects. I don't have room to move the whole events library back to my hard drive. Can I move part of it at a time.
I filled up my 1 TB back up drive so got a 3TB to move my video projects to. Do I have to move both the i photo videos and the projects to the 3 TB drive together some how. When can I delete them off the hard drive .
I moved all the i photo library to the 3 TB drive and deleted them out of i photo. That is 87 GB which I don't have room for on my hard drive.
I think when I use the export movie to my hard drive it works but will I still be able to edit it later if I want. Is it best to do quick time or i tunes if I use the export feature. -

I had a similar problem, and i found that the photo was of very low resoluton. As a test I resized the image to a lrager resolution using photoshop CS4 and re saved it as JPG. I imported the new saved image and it seem to have fixed the problem.
