IMovie App Crashes after Update on my iPhone

I recently received an update for the iMovie app. I updated the app and the icon looks a bit awkward. When I launched it to check out the feature, it suddenly crashed and took me back to the home screen. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and no luck. Continues to do the same. When I double-tap the Home button my phone, it shows the iMovie active. When I select it, it crashes again. So I was searching for the app on the iTunes Store and somehow it doesn't appear anywhere. Apple - what's going on? I love this app a lot and I don't want to lose this. Please help us and fix this situation.

The app finally came back to the App Store this morning and I was able to re-download. I installed it on my iPhone and it works now. It didn't crash or glitch as it did yesterday. I'm a happy camper now. I can edit a few movie clips (from my camera roll) and put them together to upload to YouTube. Woo-hoo!! :)

After upgrading my 3GS to iOS 4.0.1, I can no longer use Apple's "photos" app. I start the app, it shows a blank page with pajama lines on it and then closes the app after maybe 20 seconds or so. It's worth mentioning that I have a lot of photos, ~15,000 of them, and most of them are both geocoded and with tagged faces. Anyone have an idea how to fix this?

Try cutting down the number of photos you have stored on your phone (make sure they are backed up first). I say dwindle it down to a hundred. Just to see if it is because of too many pics for the app to go over, especially with the added data of face tag and geo location. You can always put them back on your phone if you still run into the same issue with far less pics. You also may want to make sure the app has been updated to be compatible with iOS4. Which app are you using by the way?

After I updated to 4.2.1 yesterday , I can't open and see my photo since each time I try to open them .. the app crash every time .. my photoes are still there..

Is it crashing at 'Rebuilding Library'? That would explain why your Camera is crashing too. If you had a Mac, you could just import & then delete your photos from Image Capture, iPhoto, or Aperture. On Windows I'm not sure where you can import as I dint have a windows machine in front of me but try looking through Camera Wizard app or Photo Gallery app for your camera, those applications should recognize the phone as a camera.
Then if you'd like you could always sync those photos back (in itunes you select Sync Photos)

However, while I suggest you import your photos (always good to have a copy!) you could just try Restore from Backup all over again & see if that resolves the issue. So in itunes, right click on phone, select restore from backup & then choose the backup that you made before the update. There should be a timestamp in the dropdown menu (the one without the timestamp is the most recent backup I believe, so that might not be the one you made pre update)

Third-Party Apps Crashing After Update

After getting the new update for my 8GB iPod Touch, I discovered my third-party apps no longer worked--they would briefly seem to boot up before crashing to the desktop. I fixed this problem by restoring my iPod, reinstalling everything, resyncing music (which took several hours). But then when I connected my iPod Touch to charge it, it said it wasn't finished restoring it or something. I said to finish; it soon says the restoration failed with a maddeningly vague error message (-34), some of my third-party apps crash again, and all my music is gone. What is going on, and is Apple taking steps to fix this problem with the new OS? Is there any way to revert to OS3?

Here is what I did & my phone now works fine:
Ok. I went back to the apple store. They reloaded the IOS6 software from a computer they knew had a good version of the software and treated the phone as if it was a new phone. We did not back it up from my pervious backups. I then reloaded all the apps from the app store and not my computer. My phone is working great now. It appears I had a corrupted copy of the IOS 6 or a corrupted app that was causing the problem and it syncing just fine without the problem returning.

Why does my Ipod touch Music/Video apps crash after update to OS4

Updated Ipod touch (64GB) yesterday to OS4. Today I cant run the Music or the Video apps. They will LOAD, but after 3 seconds, the crash. Any ideas?
Ive tried to do the reboot thing (DFU??) that I saw in another post but same issue.
Tried a search several times but have not seen any posts so far with this particular issue.

I'm having the same issue as well, I'm currently at work so as of right now I can't try to restore mine, but the strange thing with mine is that I updated mine the day the iOS 4.0 came out and had no problems until last night. Now the music and video sections keep crashing after just a few seconds. Also all my Podcast are gone, the only things missing and I even re-downloaded them last night and they're still gone.

After updating to iOS 4.3.3 all apps (both payware and freeware) crash apon opening. Not even facebook seems to work

This situation may be multi-factorial. My experience keeps reverting back to Dell's issue with their introduction of the XPS Tower - and the USB ports.
I examined very carefully the USB tethering devices with a magnifying glass earlier today. This revealed a possible change in the "teeth" configuration from the 2010 products and the 2011 products.
Using this premise - I have had yet to have "one iphone4 tethered MacBook crash" today caused by as a result of a unknown UUID.
Simplistic - maybe - hey what ever works. The curious thing is that I am not using any 3rd party apps - as I want to reduce the variables to be considered.
Someday I will get my iTunes back. I am really concerned about interfacing my Airport Time Capsule, which I purchased in 2010 also.

Why are several Apple apps crashing after update to IOS5? Safari, Appstore and iBooks all crash Frequently :-(

Sine I updated to IOS 5.0.1 my iPad(version 1) crashes quite often.
Especially when using Safari, Ibooks and Appstore.
It is quite frustrating and I have feeling that there are memory leaks.
Would be good to know if Apple are working on these problems.

Well, I have an iPad 2 3G 32GB end I can say ios 5 is PERFECT, really never seen an appstore app crashing!(200 apps + games installed), the only system app crashing sometimes is Safari, very rarely.
Os works very fast, notification center is awsome, the battery is good.
Its perfect!

I guess what I'm trying to say is, the old ipad its slow end crashes, and so, if you want better, you upgrade.

Voice memos app crashing after updating to iOS 8

After upgrading to iOS 8 today, when I launch the Voice Memos app, it attempts to re-index the memos and then in the middle of the process, it crashes. When I re-launch the app, it simply says "No Recordings".
I was really distressed, because I had some adorable recordings of my 3 year old that I didn't think I had backed up yet. I restarted the phone and it tried to index again and crashed.
If you run across this issue, don't panic - they are still on your file system on your phone. Apple will hopefully fix the bug soon. In the meanwhile, to retrieve them, you can use a program that can read your iphone's file system. I used a tool that turned up after I did a search "download iphone file system reader ifun".
After connecting the phone, I went to the leftmost tab and right-clicked "Voice Memos". There is an option there to copy the files to the computer. After they all copy, try dragging the files into iTunes and you should hear all the memos again.

Yes. Me as well. Did a factory reset on my iPad 3 (because iOS 8 killed speed and was crashing) Now I need to do some reinstalls. When I hit the cloud download icon it spins for a second then goes back to the reinstall cloud icon. Nothing!!

all I can notice is after I updated the creative cloud. Ai etc start to open but unexceptionally quit. Desktop and my laptop are doing this.......and I have multiple jobs to do.

Iphoto, imovie, aperature crash after mountain lion update

All of my iPhoto, iMovie and recently purchased Aperature crash after updating to Mountain Lion. I tried reinstalling the programs
after update ( per apple phone tech support. Did not work same crash. I took my computer to the genius bar and he suggested
making multiple "smaller libraries" or Aperature to fix the problem. The smaller libraries got it to stop crashing but Faces reset, and
all the photos and events are all mixed up not the way I had organized them all.
So I tried Aperature for $80. It crashes worse than iPhoto. The genius bar told me Aperature is designed for Large libraries and
iPhoto is not. I have over 500Gb of Photos or 40,000+ pictures. I have read some of the forums looking for a solution but I'm trying to
figure out what is the best one? Preference files? Going with the multiple smaller libraries? Not Sure. Here are the first lines of the

Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In Library Manager it's the FIle -> Rebuild command)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

Don't worry about that. iPhone stuck in recovery mode always happens when you update the iOS on your iPhone. There are two ways to solve it.
First is is to put your iPhone in DFU mode.
Step 1. Turn off iPhone
Step 2. Hold down the Power and Home button.
Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the Home button down.
Step 4. Open iTunes and wait for it to tell you that it’s in restore mode.
If DFU mode can't solve the problem, I'm afraid the only solution is to try some 3rd party software, like iPhone data recovery or something like that. You may simply try the tutorial here: How to Fix iPhone that is Stuck in Recovery Mode.

No 4G , Google location service and Amazon app crashes after 10/13 update. I had no issues after the March update, but now sorry to have downloaded this one which was intended to "fix" issued encountered with the March update.
