IMovie bad audio on some pc's and dvd's but perfect on others?

I'm using iMovie 09 8.0.4.
After creating my movie from video shot on a digital video camera, everything seems to be fine on my iMac. I add music files, titles, etc.--all looks great. But when I upload the finished video to YouTube, some pc's won't play the audio from the video shoot. Oddly, it plays the iMovie music just fine...but the audio of the people being interviewed is skippy, scratchy, and barely audible. Again, that's only on some PCs...on others, it seems to work fine.
Thinking it might be the direct iMovie to YouTube upload, I tried exporting the videos to Quicktime first and then uploading to YouTube. That didn't change anything...same problem on some PCs. And those PCs that have problems with my videos' audio play other YouTube movies just fine.
Here's the oddest part of the problem: I created a DVD with iDVD and the Quicktime files from my iMovies. On my DVD player at home? Worked perfect. But on a DVD player at work, same audio problems occurred: music from iMovie worked fine, but the audio from the filmed interviews was distorted. Any ideas why this might be?

My HP DVD-RAM GH40L SCSI DVD burner will burn CDs and DVD+Rs, but it will not burn DVD-Rs.

I have only tried to burn CDs and DVD+Rs before, and both work fine, but when I tried to burn a DVD-R, it failed. I put the same blank DVD-R in my HP notebook computer, and it burned it just fine. This happened twice, so it is not the DVDs. I uninstalled and reinstalled the burner with device manager, but still have the same problem. Is there a firmware update or something that will fix this, or do I just have a defective burner? Thanks!

No video, only Audio in sites like Youtube and Dailymotion. Was perfectly fine earlier.

Is this an Apple installed audio clip?
Have you checked to see if all of your browsers doesn't have a web page that is opened that has the audio? (Best thing is to quit all of your browsers to get that out of the way.) If it goes away, then find out which browser (if multiple), and then figure out what page or just close it if you wish.
Once you get the browsers out of the way and the audio is still playing. Then quit other programs.

Deleting pictures from camera roll and photo stream but not from other folders

Hey everyone,
I am new to I phone and using iPhone 5 with iOS 7.1.2.
I like to keep my photo folder organised and sorted. For example I created different folders on my iPhone for wallpapers, my personal pics and work pics.
Now after adding all these pics to their respective folders i deleted them from Camera roll and my photo stream ( thinking that they would still be in their folders) and now I am screwed, because everything is deleted .
Thankfully, I have the backup, but please can anyone help me to understand the difference between camera roll and my photo stream and how could i keep all my pics in different folders and just not in camera roll or my photo stream.

The way I do that is to organize them on my computer. I periodically import all of the Camera Roll to the computer. That is a good thing to do to insure you have a copy in case of loss of the phone or other problem, even if you backup the phone. Import can be done by methods described in iOS: Import personal photos and videos from iOS devices to your computer
Once they are on the computer I organize them in iPhoto on my Mac. If you have a Windows computer you can organize them in folders. Once they are on the computer I delete them all from the Camera Roll on the phone to make it easier next time -- i.e., the Camera Roll always only contains the photos that I haven't yet organized.
I only want some of the pictures that I am keeping to be sent back to the phone, so in Windows I made a second copy of those (in iPhoto on a Mac I use Albums instead). I had a main folder (e.g. "Photos for iPhone") and subfolders (only 1 level below the main folder) with various topics. Then use iTunes to sync the photos back to the phone (selecting the main folder). iTunes: Syncing photos
The end result is that they are organized in Albums on the phone, are not in the Camera Roll, and I have a copy of them on my computer.

One iPod and iPhone Syncs but not the others

My daughter has both a iPhone and iPod that are not recognized by either iTunes or her laptop. However when I use my iPhone and iPod they are immediately recognized using the same cable. Any thoughts about why this could be? Is there something in the device settings that needs to be set? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Only Verizon can authorize it to be unlocked. If they won't, you'll have to sell it to someone who can use it.

TS1702 I installed ios6.0.1 in I pad mini. When using Safari, G mail, Facebook,Mail the Apps stalls for quite sometimes and application is no perfect as other Apps. I don't know it is the cause of new processor in ipad mini or ios 6.0.1.

I bought Apple I pad mini by on line on 28-10-2012 and my Shipment notification is W270720457. The serial no is DLXJN5F9F193. I installed ios6.0.1 and when using Safari, Facebook, G mail. Mail, icloud it hang sometime and cease. Very slow in using application Facebook and G mail comparing to my previous i pad 2 with ios5. I don't know its the new processor in i pad mini or i0s6.0.1. Please give suggestion what to do.

Bad Audio Under My Profile in Leopard

I have an iMac G5 running 10.5.8. I recently bought some new speakers for my computer, hooked them up and found out the sound was really bad sounding (like underwater). At first I thought it was my speakers, but I plugged in my iPhone and it sounded great.
I have another user profile on my iMac, so I went into it and ran iTunes and the sound in there is great as well. Only under my profile, that it has the bad audio. I went through and looked if any third party sound enhancement software was installed and couldn't come up with anything. Also I turned off all the Equalizer and Sound enhancer stuff in iTunes.
This isn't just related to iTunes on my profile either but everything (Safari, Garageband, Games, etc).
Is there anyway I can get it to default settings without having to reinstall system software? My superdrive crapped out on me too so I can't use the Leopard disc anymore.

Since your problem is limited to one account it's probably due to something in <thathomefolder>/Library , It sounds like you may have checked the Audio folder there. The other place to check is the Preferences folder. Create a folder on your computer's Desktop to hold moved filed, then move anything that looks like it might involve your problem from the Preferences folder to the folder in the Desktop, log out and back in, the see if you still have the problem. If you do, put the moved file(s) back to the original spot.
If you don't see any files obviously related to the problem, you could then drag half the files in the Preferences folder to the folder on the Desktop, then repeat the process of logging out and back in and testing. If the problem still exists, put the moved files back, replacing any newly-created files. Then repeat with the second half of the files.
Once you've identified a group of files that affect the problem, note the first and last file in the group, move them back as well, then repeat the whole process with the new group by moving out the first half of the group, etc. With each cycle you'll be dealing with half as many files. Eventually you'll be able to identify the culprit.
It's possible that the problem lies in another folder within the Library folder. It would be a little trickier trying the approach above to items in the Library folder, but it might work. Another approach you might try is to copy folders from the Library folder of the other account to your main account. If you want to try that, I'd copy that account's entire Library folder to the "Shared" account by holding down an "option" key while you drag it. That will put that Library folder in a place where you can access it from your main account. As before, I'd save anything you're replacing until you're sure you haven't damaged anything.

Problem with QT 7.0.4. Some Application crashes and this is why ..

This morning a lot of user send me feedback and crashlogs after updating to QuickTime 7.0.4.
i hope that Apple will release a bugfix, so that we ( the developers ) will not have to rewrite our applications. I don't know why Apple has disabled this, i think they have huge problems with the second Core from there new Intel DualCore machines.

iMac G5 20' iSight Mac OS X (10.4.4)

Earlier this week, I posted a complaint against Quicktime 7.0.4 causing really bad jerkiness in video playback and in Front Row animated menus. I had the Windows Media Plugin "Flip4Mac installed". I just noticed that Flip4Mac has posted a new version of their plugin yesturday to correct incompatibilities with Quicktime 7.0.4. After experiencing instbility with Quicktime 7.0.4, I uninstalled using the Apple uninstaller to revert back to 7.0.1, I then upgraded to 7.0.3 and all my issues were gone. Once I saw that Flip4Mac had posted a new version of it's plugin to correct incompatibilities, I was curious if this plugin was causing my issue so I re-installed Quicktime 7.0.4 and sure enough, my video playback became unstable again. I then went to macupdate.com and downloaded the newly released Flip4mac plugin for Quicktime. Sure enough, video playback was good again. I think the whole cause of the bad video issue after installing Quicktime 7.0.4 was due to the older version of Flip4Mac being installed. Just thought this might help some of you and also the Apple developers.

Optical drive reads audio cd's and burned dvd's, but not commercial dvds

I just upgraded my macbook hard drive, doing a clean install of Mac OS X on the drive in an external enclosure, then copying the remaining files, doing all the software updates, and swapping out my old drive. Everything works so far, except... the DVD player will no longer play commercial dvd's (movies and tv). The drive hardware seems ok, in that it reads audio CD's (through iTunes) and DVD's of tv shows burned on my home recorder... which suggests that the DVD player software is ok, too. Did a setting get changed in my software, where it thinks I'm putting in the wrong regional dvd type? The disk goes in, spins and makes noise, and, after a short while ejects out.
