IMOVIE - can not export, error message

I can not export or finalize my project. It keeps giving me an error message everytime I try to do it. PLEASE HELP!!
Ive done other projects in the past with no problem. I just cant get this one to work

IMovie can not export still pictures

I have this problem, since I updated to iMovie '11 today.
It does export regular videos but no still picture projects as it used to.
I bought, downloaded and installed iMovie from the new German AppStore and everything seemed fine.
Now I have created a project which includes still pictures only, with adjusted lengths and blendings.
This project is located on an external hard drive.
Whenever I try to export this project -so I can re-import it into iMovie in order be able to use those still pictures in my trailer- iMovie works on it for about 25 Minutes and does not report any errors. I have tried different locations for storage, but none of them results in a video file.
I have deleted the iMovie preferences, rebooted my MacBook, but with no result:
The exported video file is simply not there!
There is also no video file within the package of this project.
Any ideas? Please help!

I don't know why you can't export a movie, but there is no reason that you should have to make a slideshow so you can have photos in a trailer.
You can make the trailer. Then FILE/CONVERT TO PROJECT.
Now you can add photos, etc.

MB_DOCUMENT_BADI can not show error message URGENT

now i have a badi problem.
I use t-code migo to post a purchase oder to complete goods receipt.
I need to control the stock when user click the 'post' button, then maybe I WILL give a error message and then stop the migo program.
for example, i wirte the code 'show message e398(00) with 'error message'' in the badi implementation ZMB_DOCUMENT_BADI,method 'MB_DOCUMENT_BEFORE_UPDATE' and active it. it will come to a runtime error 'MESSAGE_TYPE_X'.
I debug the programe I found when the progamm come to
'show message e398(00) with 'error message'' ,next it will return sy-subrc = 4.
if I MODIFY the e398(00) with i398(00) then it will be OK
but I can not stop the program migo.

Imovie can not import error -4960

Aloha Everyone,
Need some help again...I just imported some clips from my hard drive into Imovie. Then as I began to import the next few clips, imovie says that it can not import this file and gives me error 4960. I've tried to download the manuals etc to see what this error is, but to no avail. Could someone please tell me if you know what this error is...or where I can find that information.

IMovie can not export

I use iMovie to create stop motion video, but when I hit "export movie" and wait for about 3 minutes.
After it finish export movie, I can not find that file (.mov) in my Mac.
How to solve that problem?

*Not knowing the origin to Your problem - General approach when in trouble is as follows.*
• Free space on internal (start-up) hard disk if it is less than 10Gb should rather have 25Gb
• Delete iMovie pref file
iMovie pref file resides.
Mac Hard Disk (start-up HD)/Users/"Your account"/Library/Preferences
and is named. (one or more of these)
com.apple.iMovie.plist
com.apple.iMovie3.plist
com.apple.iMovie7.plist
com.apple.iMovie8.plist
and find
com.apple.iApps.plist
While iMovie is NOT RUNNING - move this/these file/s out on to desk-top.
Now restart iMovie.
• Hard disk is untidy. Repair Permissions, Repair Hard disk (Apple Disc Util tool)
• Garageband-fix. Start it, Play a note and Close it. Re-try (Corrects an audio problem that hinders iMovie)
• Screen must be set to Million-colors
• Turn off Mac and disconnect Mains/Power for 20-30 minutes - will at least re-set FW-port
• Third party plug-ins that doesn't work OK (not relevant for iMovie’08 or 09)
• Problems in iPhoto Library can affect iMovie to crash on start-up. Re-build this first then try to re-start iMovie.

_ now select all five options presented
_ WAIT a long long time

• QuickTime updated ?

From LKN 1935. (in this case = iMovie HD (5), I tried it all, but nothing worked.

there was something wrong with my iMovie software. I therefore threw everything away and reinstalled
iMovie from the HD. After that the exportation of DV videos (there has not been any problem with HDV videos)
to my Sony camcorders worked properly as it did before.

Can not start - error message not enough storage

This morning - when I push the start button there is an error message - Not enough storage ..... But the close abd settings button will not work. The bottom slider button will not work. I cannot shutdown to restart either

I am unable to export any video's and when I try this error comes up:

Everything is updated, I just bought FCP last week so it should be updated. and there is no update option in the App Store.

If not, go to home/Library/Application Support and find the Compressor folder and trash it. See if that does it for you.

The "restore disk" is built into the Mac. See About Recovery.
Need more specifics about what error messages you got while installing Adobe Flash.
However, you can almost avoid Flash altogether by setting YouTube to play the HTML5 version instead.
Click the Try something new! link at the bottom of the YouTube page.
I don't know about the sound issue. Might be hardware as you think. Try other headphones to check.

IMovie '10 consumes all RAM and I can not export projects

A few days ago I upgraded to iMovie '10, but since then consumes all memory, close the application, I can not export projects. I upgraded my Macbook Pro from 4GB to 8GB of RAM, but the problem persists. I'd like to iMovie 9.0.9 but I do not know how to do

How large is your movie? Is it possible that you could output it as a QuickTime file and then burn that as a data DVD? Is uploading to YouTube an option?

Can I go back to the old look of the 'server not found' error messages?

After updating to Firefox 32, I noticed that the 'server not found' error messages now look differently. I don't like the new look, so I wonder if you know about an add-on that restores the old look. I've tried searching for it, but I don't know the proper name of these error messages, so I'm not sure what search phrase I should use.

Can not export to a quicktime movie

So, I've spent the past two weeks putting this wedding video together on final cut express HD 3.5.1 and I'm all set to burn it to a DVD. I figured the easiest way to do this would be through iDVD. iDVD recommends that, while in FCE, I choose the "Export to quicktime movie" command to create a quicktime file that I can then drag and drop to iDVD. Sounds easy enough, but I simply can not export my project to QT in FCE. Every time I attempt to do so, one of two things happens: 1) after about a second of "writing audio and video" it quits w. the following error message: "file error: unknown file" or 2) the entire project is "written," but the created QT file will not open up and does not give a helpful explanation as to why.
By no means am I married to iDVD or QT if anybody has any other suggestions as to how I can feasibly get my FCE project somehow burned onto a DVD. But if anybody has any suggestions w/ or w/o exporting to QT, please please please help me as soon as you can. This is my sister's wedding video and she and her husband will be moving to colorado next week! I really need to get this to her before then.
My scratch disk is an external HD - USB-HDD (FAT32) Processor: 2 GHz Intel Core Duo, Memory: 2GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

I have to plead ignorance regarding the firewire "drive" that you're referring to. My USB-HD is connected with a firewire cable. I'm not familiar with the distinction between this type of connection and a "firewire drive."
You might be interested to know I was able to successfully export a ten-minute DVD clip (with multiple tracks and rendered video) excerpted from my final cut project and subsequently burn it to a DVD. It didn't look like it had exported successfully, because it was still a .fcp file. I simply changed it to a .mov and changed the default opener from FCE to Quicktime and "voila" I had a quicktime movie. Too bad I can't get the same thing to work for the two-hour project.
Nonetheless, the fact that I was able to get the clip on a DVD gives me confidence that somehow, some way I can convert my whole project to a quicktime file. It's my hope that someone will read this forum and burst forth with a fresh, imaginative approach keeping in mind I'm not about to run out and spend two hundred bucks on a third hard drive I don't need.
