IMovie is still crashing? This is an absolute disaster... I am really disappointed with Apple!!!
I've seen the post about the library files to attempt to delete on old versions of iMovie, but I have the newest version.
I seen the post about the corruption of iMovie files from certain titles... especially "organic main". But I could not export my movie (1min 30 secs) before I added any titles...
I think it might be the "dream" feature that I've added to the photos, but I don't have enough time inside iMovie before the crashes to change.
I can't believe that Apple hasn't done more to fix this in the brand new version. As a life-long apple user (since the commodore 64) I am very disappointed.
Does Apple care that a signiture app is garbage?!?

First, that cannot be an iBook G4 as that machine cannot run Snow Leopard let alone Mountain Lion. To run Snow Leopard it has to be an Intel processor, not a G4. What does it show as the Model Identifier in About This Mac, More Info, System Report, Hardware, Model Identifier?
Second, if you have erased the hard drive there should not be remnants of any prior content. Even though Disk Warrior is saying nothing is wrong with the hard drive, it sounds as though there are problems. You may want to consider simply replacing the hard drive so there are no questions about faults. A good source is OWC, http://www.macsales.com where they also have on-line videos showing how to do the replacement.
Third, you could also try again to restart using the Snow Leopard DVD/CD and use Disk Utility on that install disk to erase again, and do it a couple times, then try to install. If it continues to refuse, then it sounds as though there is a fault with the hard drive. -
Last year upon an update some of my itunes media was not working. Then the new version came out and it fixed itself.
Well another update and we start over with the problem. In the itunes store you can not preview any tv show, music video, or movie.
In your itunes library none of the purchased movies, tv shows, or music videos play. The element the same is in the get info tab. The information in the right side pane in the middle is gone. The left side information is still present. The right side info is the purchase info. Even an item downloaded today had the missing info and will not play. After dealing with apple support with the first go around last year. I uninstalled and reinstalled itunes 8 or more times, in the proper order. I deleted my itunes library and reinstalled it. We deleted all types of program files and program data. nothing worked. I was trying things on my own and foung nothing. Please help I am so frustrated with this. In my Iphone 5, Nothing on my App Store is working, its displaying blank (Except for Genius section). I've tried to uninstall and install itunes and all its component in my desktop but still it doesn't fix the app store issue. Not sure if its problem with apple servers. Someone help please!
settigns>itunes and app store to make sure you are signed in.. If you are, you will see your account name..... anyhow, click your account name, sign out and sign back in
also go to to settings>general>reset and reset network settings... if that doesnt work settings>general>reset and reset all settings!

Is this the NVIDEA problem.... frustration with Apple service provider
So I got this MacBook Pro and it would only come up with kernel panic, no log in, nothing. I thought it was the hard drive and replaced it with a new drive, didn't change a thing. Tried booting from CD, tried booting from the USB drive, same thing. But eventually after a few tries it WOULD boot into Ubuntu from the CD, although the graphics looks really funny (vertical lines, poor resolution). Then, I got it to boot into Ubuntu again and the graphics looked normal. Then, I got it to boot into the Snow Leopard install and got almost through the whole install, and suddenly, kernel panic again. Rebooted, it appeared to work fine for about a half hour. But suddenly out of the blue, the screen started flickering like when a ballast gets blown on a fluorescent light, and then after a few moments, kernel panic. This happened more than once. So now, knowing it isn't the hard drive, and I also swapped out the RAM and it did the same thing no matter which RAM was in it, that narrows it down to an issue with the logic board. Lo and behold, I found out about this Nvidea recall and my Macbook is one of the ones with the affected graphics processors. So I paid $40 to ship it up to an Apple service provider (there are none near me) and they are saying that it passed the diagnostic no problem, and the problem is a bad hard drive. Which I know is not true because when it decides not to boot, it won't boot from ANYTHING. Then other times it will appear to boot and run just fine until the screen flashes and then it goes into a kernel panic. What do I do??? What could this problem possibly be???

IMovie 09 still crashes when opening titles
Every now and then iMovie would crash while I was working on a project but I would be able to continue working without any major problems when I reopened the program. Now though iMovie crashes everytime I attempt to create a "title". It will crash if I select from the right window, and using command 3. I have attempted to export to the desktop but I receive a -50 error.
I have attempted to delete (far far away) from the resources contents folder as a workaround previously suggested but no luck.
I'll post up my log and I appreciate any help.
ThanksUnfortunately nothing worked for me. All I ended up doing was creating new events and created a chapter or mini movie by copying and pasting from my original project (the one giving me the -50 error). From there I manually redid the music and titles.
After each mini movie was finished, I'd finalize that project before moving on to the next. I ended up having nine mini movies or chapters and put them into iDVD as I was using an '09 iMac at the time. From there I added all the movies into slideshow (in preferences unchecked the "scaled for TV option" so the movies would play together instead of returning to menu after each on finished and added the idividual movies to the main screen so it would be easy to pick an individual chapter.
It wouldn't have been a lot of work in the end (editing aside) if I had done this way to start but I didn't know I'd be posed with an error with no resolve. -

Cellular data and whether 3G works on your phone has nothing to do with the phone itself. This is the responsibility of your phone company/carrier and is linked to the sim card that you have inserted into your phone.
You don't need to go to a service centre, but you do need to contact your phone company - cellular data and 3G is their responsibility and not Apple's.

IPhone 3G STILL Crashes with iOS 4.0.x and 4.1 update
I'm still having performance issues. My iPhone 3G boot up time has increase but it still crashes every time I tried to use it,
regardless if I use it for gaming, being on the phone, or anything. The battery meters keeps on showing that my battery is low when I know I had it plugged and had it fully charged just 10 to 20 minutes ago and I had not used the phone yet it was just on standby mode. I'm very frustrated with my upgrade OS 4.0.1 and 4.1 makes me wants to go back to OS 3.

I received the message 'The registry settings used by the iTunes drivers for importing and burning CD's and DVD's are missing. This can happen as a result on installing other CD burning software. Please reinstall iTunes.' I have re-installed iTunes and still receive this message. Any suggestions?
I'd start with the following document, with one modification. At step 12 after typing GEARAspiWDM press the Enter/Return key once prior to clicking OK. (Pressing Return adds a carriage return in the field and is important.)

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.
System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.
Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.
If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.
If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.
If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

IMovie 10.0.1 - This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera
I have my video media on my HD. I am able to IMPORT all clips from that media folder. My Timeline does NOT show the yellow triangle symbol (indicating offline media). All clips in the event plays properly in iMovie. However, when I try to export the project movie, it keeps saying "This item cannot be shared while it is still referencing media on the camera".
I also noticed that when I quit imovie and re-open imove, some of the clips in the event shows the "Missing Camera" text. This happens every time I quit and re-open iMovie. I have to re-import the clips everytime I re-open iMovie. After re-importing, the yellow triangle disappears and all clips play properly, but still cannot share the movie. Is there a connection between the export issue and this issue?
Very disappointed with this version of iMovie. This type of error should not happen.Someone else already mentioned this. Share to Theatre. This creates the movies in 1080p, 720p and 480p. It you then delete the theatre movie all 3 versions end up in Trash. Not a solution but it seems crazy that iMovie allows you to render the movie to Theatre but not to anywhere else when it thinks there are items" still referencing media on camera".

My daughter made an iMovie project using picures from her Camera Roll and then delted the pictures from her camera roll and now she can not export the project. Does anyone know of a way to still export this project?

Earlier today I installed Maverick. This afternoon I updated iMovie. For 6 hours it has been "Preparing media for share" and I cannot use the program. Any idea what's up?
Okay, I think I've got it solved. The stuck iMovie app may have been caused by a disk error or a corruption in the downloaded app, so here is how to troubleshoot it.
1. Run Apple Disk Utilities to repair any errors on your hard drive. Restart and hold the Command and R keys down, this will start the computer from the restore partition and you can run apple disk utilities. Select your hard drive and run both the "Repair" and "repair permissions" This will clear up any disk errors that might be locking the program.
2. Restart. Now the drive is fine but in my case the iMovie program still locked up "preparing media for share"
So we need to rebuild the iMovie 10 app. Notice when you go into your Applications folder, the iMove 9 is also there and should work fine as it always did before. We will just rebuild iMovie 10.
a. From applications, Drag the iMovie.app to the trash.
b. from the Movies folder, drag the iMovie Library.imovielibrary file to the trash. This is the library iMovie 10 is building as it updates clips and projects.
c. From the movies/iMovie Events folder remove the "UpdatedToiMovie10" file.
d. From the movies/iMovie Projects folder remove the "UpdatedToiMovie10" file. (I added the word "projects" to the file name so I could retrieve it later and not be confused with the same named file from events)
e. for good measure, right click on theiMovie alias in the dock and select remove from dock. This links to the deleted iMovie.app
We are ready to rebuild IMovie. For good measure I restart at this point to make sure the Finder knows i removed those files.
3. Select software update in the apple menu. It will run and tell you that there is an update to iMovie available. Click update and it will download and put it in the applications folder.
4. Run iMovie.app. This time "Preparing media for share" will come up for only a few seconds and your app is responsive. Notice it shows no projects.
In the file menu, select "Update projetcs and events"
This will rebuild the library file and UpdatedToiMovie10" files.
It will take some time as you watch each project go through the update routine.
Now you should have a functioning iMovie 10 app with your iMovie 9 projects available.
I did experience a number of audio files that show up in iMovie 10 in red, meaning they did not convert properly. However, locating the audio file on the hard drive and dragging it into the iMovie project worked fine and I deleted the non-working red audio file.
I did experience a few clips that also did not make it from iMovie 9 and iDvd projects.
The good things is that you now have two side-byside iMovie apps and you can always go back and launch iMovie 9 and work on projects that did not make the cut.
This was a major rewrite of iMovie and updates are planned that may make this go smoother than it did for some of us early adopters.
