IMovie Isn't Loading Properly, Screen Showing Up Blank

Does anyone know why my iMovie isn't displaying properly, when I open up iMovie the program display looks like this.
I deleted some events previously but I don't know what could have caused this. I've been editing some videos recently where the files I'm importing are large, but I don't know if what's what caused this. The length of the videos was only between 1-2 hours. I'd appreciate any advice or answers as to how I could resolve this.

You mean update to 8.0.6, I did that already.  Here is the pic, you have seen it before?

I am using a Dell Vostro 3400, with 8 GB RAM, Windows 7 64bit Ultimate OS. ITunes version 10.5? (Latest)
    What I have tried:
    Uninstalled iTunes,
    Removed firewall and protection.
Re-installed iTunes 64bit (still get the same issue)
    Restarted firewall, added apple.com etc.
I have created a new user profile to no vail.
Still the same issue. I can access using my iPod

I am having the same problem ever since I upgraded.  Have received four emails from Apple support on the
issue and nothing has worked.  Unloaded 10.5 and went back to 10.3 which worked fine but it would not allow
me to sync my Iphone with the ios 5 upgrade.  Went back to 10.5 and sometimes get exactly what you do when
I try an access the store.  It looks like something is clearly missing.  Have done just about everything I have seen
on threads but nothing works.  Really need help.

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:
You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.
*Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
    *Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
    *Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)
Clear the cache and remove cookies only from websites that cause problems.
    "Clear the Cache":
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
*Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance

  • How do you get iMovie '08 to load properly after installation and updates?

I loaded iMovie '08 and updated and at first it was smooth. Then, I tried to follow instructions on how to send a (copy or duplicate) of a project to my external hardrive. When I tried to pull the "original" up on my iMac; it would only pull up temporarily. Once it started loading the "thumbnails"--then it would simply say that iMovie had encountered a problem ad ask me to either; REPORT, RETRY or CLOSE (the project). For the few moments it was loading up--I could see my video footage--but then it would flash to the "REPORT", RETRY or CLOSE" screen. HELP!

.. I'm not sure what you are referring to in terms of the "Finder" level operation?
if you want to delete events or projects, you have to do that in the app iM08 itself; if you erase any files in 'Finder' (when no app is running, MacOs shows you the 'Finder', read the manual.....) for sure iM will complain and show a weird behavior..
... Now, EVERY TIME I "trash" the iMOVIE'08--and "re-install it--and follow with the "update"--it does the same thing.
re-installing an app is a habitual behavior on inferior systems ... as we like to say here ..
for sure, a reinstall of the app doesn't fix your Events and Projects Folders.. if you mis-manage any content by doing so on Finder level, the app will keep 'complaining'..
sorry, no fix from here (=I'm afraid, you totally misconfigured the file management 'manually'), if you try to be smarter than the guys at Cupertino, you HAVE to be smarter than them..

  • IMovie doesn't load properly

    Hi
I start iMovie and i see the loading symbol then when all my thumbnails appear, the gray bar in the middle with all the buttons disappears and all i see is gray, no voiceover button, reject clip, no music all gone. Even the Red yellow and green circles in the top left have disappeared. Also when i try to skim movies it doesnt work properly and the red bar that follows your mouse cant keep up.
I hope this makes sense and somebody knows how to help me.

HI there, Do you have the latest update for IM? YOu do not say what version you have. First make sure you have updated...to the most current version... If the application is acting odd, I start by first repairing permissions, in disk utility. Than try it again, if that does not work I delete the I Movie preferences. It will create a whole new set when you launch the application again. That is location in your User folder>library>preferences>com.apple.imovie.plist. MOve to trash. Than try I Movie again. See if that works. If not post back, Ileen

  • Websites not loading properly just shows "transferring data" nothing comes up

hi I'm using Firefox 8.0 on my windows vista laptop. If I'm on a web page (such as google news), most links will load OK> however certain links I click on will open a new window that shows "transferring data from ..." but page never loads. If I close the window then click on the SAME link again it usually loads rite up. I've tried other browsers (chrome) & this doesn't happen. I was going to switch because it's really annoying, but I like Firefox a lot. Any suggestions? I have followed the instructions for "certain websites not loading" and this didn't help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

  • Youtube isn't loading properly

Every time I open Youtube it is a white page with times text and links and nothing works. I am running Windows 7 on a Mac via Bootcamp and I recently updated Firefox to the latest version. I did have a file called old Firefox data but I deleted that by accident.

The Old Firefox Data folder contains your settings from before a Reset. If you already have Firefox set up the way you like, you probably don't need that Old Firefox Data folder any more.
One common reason for secure sites to appear unstyled is a problem with SSL certificates. Has Firefox displayed any errors or warnings related to SSL certificates and have you added any exceptions?
Strangely enough, the #1 reason for certificate problems is that your system clock has an incorrect date or time or time zone. Any of these can cause the certificate to be considered invalid. Could you check your Windows VM to make sure those are perfectly correct?
Does your Windows 7 have any features that might block the server Youtube uses to host its style sheets: s.ytimg.com ?

  • When I go into Facebook the screen shows a blank screen with a blue Facebook bar at the top but I can't do any thing

On my iPad mini the Facebook app doesn't work, when I tap the app the scree shows the blue Facebook bar at the top but the rest of the page is white

    Hi Alice,
First, close the Facebook app. Double-click the Home button. The screen will  change to show you "cards" of running apps. Swipe up on the app's card to force close the app.
Then, hold the Sleep/Wake AND Home button down on your iPad for about 10 seconds until you see the Apple Logo on the black screen. The let go of the buttons. This resets the iPad. Once it boots back up, try launching Facebook again.
If this doesn't work, there could be a network glitch preventing the app to load. You could reset network settings on your iPad (Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings). You'll need to re-add your WiFi network after the reset. If all else fails, reinstall the Facebook app.
    Hope this helps!

  • After upgrading to Windows 8.1 firefox longer works. I got it to load but screen is either blank or doesn't go to target address

after upgrading to Windows 8.1 from 8 nothing works correctly. Firefox 1st received 'unable to load XPcom' After resetting and uninstalling several times Firefox now loads to either a support screen or blank screen. It accepts address input but doesn't execute to target. So far I have been unable to roll back upgrade.
Although IE11 works, it doesn't work correctly.

Remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

If you keep having problems then do a clean reinstall and delete the Firefox program folder before (re)installing a fresh copy of the current Firefox release.
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
    *Firefox 24: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
Uninstall your current Firefox version, if possible, to cleanup the Windows registry and settings in security software.
*Do NOT remove personal data when you uninstall your current Firefox version, because all profile folders will be removed and you lose personal data like bookmarks and passwords from profiles of other Firefox versions.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

  • Showing white blank screen, showing white blank screen

    hi
my ipod is showing white and blank screen and how to restar it again

    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • Map does not load and screen stays partially blank

There is a link on a website that I use for work that loads a map on a new tab. That link was working fine with the previous version of Firefox. But ever since I installed the latest Firefox version available, the link leads to a new tab with partial information but the map does not load and the area where it was supposed to load stays blank. Refreshing the page does not solve the situation.

if you are using mapquest -- i had the same problem. i simply reinstalled firefox 3.6 and uninstalled version 4.0. the popup function was restored.

Since itunes 2.0.4 has been downloaded my ipod doesn't synchronize properly/ at all. The LED screen shows çopying 1 or 2 from 101' and itt will remain like that.
It looks like sync but nothing is happening. The sync doesn't stop by itself. Is there anybody to solve this problem? In previous versions never a problem.

I have exactly the same issues with my new 80G iPOD. I have found that when connecting to my PC, the iPOD does not start iTUNES 7. This can be resolved by stopping the iPOD Service in Computer Management, connecting the iPOD and then starting it again. Then when you start iTUNES it finds the iPOD. - http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=93716
Seems like a stupid long-winded way to do things, but at least you can get some stuff on to your iPOD.
As far as using Restore goes - I just get the restoring iPOD message you described, which it blatantly isn't :((
