IMovie mp4 problem - Video "flashes" pixels?

Hi!
After exporting, this mp4 file keeps "flashing pixels" time to time. Here is a sample of the problem:

That looks to me like bitrate starvation -- too low of a bitrate for something that vivid and detailed?
What is this shot with? What's your original footage bitrate?
When you export to Quicktime, did you choose H.264 and at best quality already?!?
iMovie 11 H.264 is good, but can be a bit lacking in terms of quality compared to some of the best H.264 encoders out there.
I personally don't use H.264 and prefer to export either uncompressed or DV stream and use the power of my Quad PC to encode to better quality H.264.

Probleme Video Flash

J'ai un problème lorsque je cherche à insérer
une video flash dans mon site. J'ai créé l'animation en
suivant les instructions de l'aide: importation d'une video /
téléchargement progressif / enveloppe ArtcicExternal puis
publication au format au swf et html. Tous les fichiers .fla, .flv,
.swf et .html sont dans le meme répertoire. Lorsque
j'insère l'animation .swf dans une page de mon site,
l'enveloppe ArcticExternal n'apparait pas, si je créé un
lien vers le fichier .swf, l'animation apparait dans une nouvelle
page avec l'enveloppe ArctiExternal mais la video est
sur-dimensionnée enfin lorsque je créé un lien vers
la page .html générée par Flash l'animation apparait
correctement, taille respectée et enveloppe présente.
J'aimerai surtout savoir comment insérer l'animation
dans une page du site et que l'enveloppe apparaisse.

Flash lui-même n'est pas supporté sur l'iPad. Navigateur applications telles que Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin et de «travail» Photon sur certains sites, mais à en juger par leurs commentaires ne sont pas tous les sites. En outre, certains sites, notamment les sites de nouvelles, ont leurs propres applications dans l'App Store.
Flash itself is not supported on the iPad. Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

IMovie 10 import video flashes

Novice iMovie user here needing some help. I'm using iMovie 10.
I've imported some video clips into iMovie, but when play them back, they now have like a repetitive flashing or jump about every 1/2 second.
Playback the same clip with QuickTime and no problem.
Any ideas on cause and what I can do to correct?

Screen problem - flashing pixels

Hi,
I upgraded to Mountain Loon a while ago, and a short while afterwards the screen started to misbehave. I have looked on the pages, but not found anything close to this problem.
The attached image shows the type of thing I'm talking about, lots of flashing pixels which disappear for a while if I use the two finger right sweep to get to another area of video space.
COmputer is 1.93 GHz Intel Core i7 iMac with 16GB RAM bought towards the end of 2010. Graphics are ATI Radeon HD 5750 1024MB running OS X 10.8.2(12C60).
I have resinstalled the O/S keeping my original files, but to no avail.
Any suggestions????? (Please)

I've tried the Apple Hardware Test program, and run it through on normal and advanced testing a number of times (4 times at least in each cycle). AHT wasn't on my system so I had to resort to the origial install disks, but that worked as described in the instructions so thanks for that :-)
The AHT has shown no errors what so every (The actual statement was 'no trouble found' ). So I am at a loss as to what the problem is.
However the screen whilst in the AHT showed no signs of the spurious random flashing pixels / characters on the screen at any stage, and so I am hopeful that it's not the graphics card or the screen itself. COuld it be an issue with the drivers within the O/S I wonder?

ALL flash videos looks pixelated, win 7 or 8.1, ONLY with firefox

Latest firefox version, latest adobe flash player.. Had cleaned cache and preferences of both Firefox and Flash Player.. two different machines with different hardwares and SOs, no luck!

Firefox's WEB images are GREAT but all videos looks pixelated as the left picture.. had compared the same video with Firefox and Chrome opened side-by-side.. :\

Hardware acceleration ON of OFF didn't make any difference.. honestly I never saw anyone saying they see any difference switching it..
Of course with a higher resolution (720 or 1080p) there's less pixelation, but with other browsers there ain't such issue..

Problems with Flash Video

OK - I have had intermittent problems with Flash video, basically it gets choppy, usually after about 20 minutes - half an hour of watching - recently this problem has gotten worse - coinciding with a recent system update perhaps? - it's more or less anytime I stream something, and it happens on all browsers, even when the movie has clearly downloaded and is buffered way in advance of the playhead.
On 2 occasions recently leaving the movie to play just to see what happens has led to a kernel panic.
I've heard alot about Flash video generally being a resource hog and not playing ball sometimes - is there a way to solve this issue? Things I have tried - reset sound to 16 bit 44.1 khz in audio/midi manager; fixed permissions; run Tech Tool - everything seems to be fine hardware wise - I think there are some incompatible driver issues that are meesing up RAM usage but have no idea what or how to solve this... Any ideas anybody?

If, as you show, you are running 10.5.2, that is out of date. You need to install the 10.5.8 combo updater.
It is also possible that your FlashPlayer is out of date.
The latest version of Adobe FlashPlayer can be obtained from here:

(You can check here: http://www.adobe.com/products/flash/about/ to see which version you should install for your Mac and OS.
You should first uninstall any previous version of Flash Player, using the uninstaller from here (make sure you use the correct one!):

and also that you follow the instructions closely, such as closing ALL applications first before installing. You must also carry out a permission repair after installing anything from Adobe.

I'm having problems with Flash Videos (Youtube and ESPN)

I have been having this problem for the last couple of days now and it is really annoying. Whenever I watch a flash video like on youtube or espn my computer freezes up and the audio will make a loud buzzing sound. I have attached a video with the post so you can see what happens. I don't have problems with anything else except this. I also get this error no matter what browser I use. I have system restored my PC as far as I can go, and I've ran a ton of scans and driver update checks and nothing seems to work.

At first, the same night I decided to update--things were fine but after using the browser hours later a second time: some flash scripts would simply not respond and freeze the tab the content is on or like in my question, constantly stutter. I have the same issue. When I scroll past embedded videos, such as YouTube videos, they are torn or disrupted. The video may shrink in size when I scroll, etc. Issues only arise when scrolling past the video. When playing, no issues.
I've tried the following that did not help:
Safe mode
Video driver up to date
Flash completely up to date
All plugins up to date.
Only started happening when I updated to FF13.

Tearing/vsync problem in Flash videos

Hi, sorry for my bad english.
I have a new MBP and big problem with flash videos.
I have also installed the newest version of Flash. But it dosn´t helps.
In any flash video i have tearing (vertical lines). In fullscreen mode surprissingly not.
Has anyone the same problem? I can saw it very good by fast moves.
I hope apple will fix it.

Problems with Flash video playback

I'm having a problem with Flash video playback, hoping
someone here can help.
I have several movies which I have converted to .flv using
the Flash authoring tool. I have then created an .swf for each
movie, embedding the .flv along with the playback component,
playback controls, etc.
I can open these .swfs using Flash Player and everything
displays and plays as expected. However, when I embed the .swf into
a web page and open it using a browser, the playback controls don't
show up, and the movie will only play if it has been encoded to
autoplay. I am on an Intel Mac, using the latest Flash Player
plug-in, and am having this problem in both Firefox 2.0.0.11 and in
Safari 2.0.4.
I'm guessing that the problem lies in how I have encoded the
.swfs into the web page? Hoping someone has a solution, or at least
a good suggestion!

Just to clarify for anyone else who stumbles across this -
the extra .swf files (which contain the skin for the player) need
to be in the same directory as the .html doc which is displaying
the video .swf. Hope that helps someone else!

Help please! quality problems converting HDMI movie clips into iMovie mp4

I am importing HDMI movie clips from a canon powershot SX50HS camera into iMovie and building them into a single MP4 intended for YouTube.
The movie clips appear clear as a bell individually in iPhoto whatever size I enlarge them to on the screen but are horrendously blurred in the MP4 movie- especially text.
Help!!!! What am I doing wrong????

If you are not already doing so, you may want to try importing directly into iMovie from the camera. You may also want to test the "Analyze for stabilization after import” function on a shorter clip to see if that helps. You may find the following article helpful:

No video - Flash problem?

Hi,
Not very tech-savvy, so please bear with me. Since I performed a recent update, I can't get any video via Safari - no Youtube videos, no videos on news pages, no embedded videos on Facebook. When I click on a video box, it goes blank & nothing happens.
I can play my iTunes videos. I think this has happened since a Safari update to v5, a week ago. So is this a problem with Flash? I have emptied the Safari cache & restarted, no change.

Update 10.6.4 included an out-of-date version of FlashPlayer. Try deleting it and installing the latest one from Adobe even if the version number appears to be the same even if it has the same version number as the one you have:

Exported mp4 video "flashes" when viewing.

Hey everyone.
All my exported video flashes when you play it. I am sure it is something with exporting but I have tried several different settings and it keeps happening. Does anyone know why that would happen? It flashes really quickly like a strobe light. Any help is appreciated.

My nephew set up my website for me and showed me how to load
video files three years ago. I am now trying to add some more but
the Insert > Media > flash route is uploading the files but
they're not appearing anywhere on the specified pages. The other
folders with flash video have files called
FLVPlayer_Progressive.swf and clearSkin_1.swf. What do these do and
how do I get them into the new folder I am creating for the new
flv. files?

It would've been better if you posted a url. A first guessing
it's that
you inserted with the wrong choice. It should've been
insert>Media>Video
Flash.
Anyway for more help post a url pls.
