iMovie, iPhoto and Pages is showing up in my appstore under free section, but its not free. its confusing. . . . .So why do i have to pay for a free apps??

I installed iMovie 10 when I first purchased the Macbook, but I deleted as I did not need it then. It was free then. However, I reinstalled Mac OS X after that.
Now, it is not free at all.

At first when i got my iphone i saw that ALL apple apps were free. Now that i have had my phone for 2 months, i see that ALL apple apps are not free. Does anyone know why the apps are not free when they were free when i first got my phone? (I have an iphone 5s that is 2 months old)

Go to Settings/General/About tap on Name, and change it.

Why is iMovie not free for my MacBook?

Okay so apparently, this is my first question here in this site and I'm wondering how some people get iMovie free on their macbooks while I don't get it for free. I have to pay $15 for it. I just updated my macbook air to the newest update version and also this mac is made in 2011 (as it says on the bottom part) well you know I'm new to this site and I hope I don't get any hates if ever I didn't give full details. I tried downloading it by pressing "buy app" but it's still waiting until now and there's not progress. Any explanation on why I have to buy mine while others get it for free?

It would appear the seller did not do a proper procedure in selling. Contact AppleCare to make sure your machine isn't a stolen machine, or if they can put the applications up in the App Store for you to download all the pre bundled software that came with the machine.

hi. I brought my iPad mini in october 2013. When i got it it came free with iMovie but to save space I deleted it. Now I want it back again but it says it costs 3.99. Why can't I just restore it or get it for free again?

Open Mac App Store and look under your purchases tab. If your Mac shipped with Snow Leopard or earlier than you can reinstall iMovie from teh Applications disk that came with your Mac.

Pages, numbers, keynote, iPhoto and iMovie not free for my Ipad Air

I've just bought my new ipad air. why i can't get all those apps for free? it said in the apple website free for all iOs 7 compatible device that have been activated on or after 1 September 2013.
Please kindly advice.

The iWork for iOS apps are free for anyone who has activated an iOS device for the first time since September 1, 2013. If your iOS device is older than that you will have to purchase the apps or a new device.
If your iOS device was activated for the first time after September 1, go to the App Store on your iPad which should open to Featured. If not, tap on Featured at the lower left of the screen & scroll down to Collections & tap on New to the App Store? then scroll down to Apps Made by Apple & tap. You should now see the iWork & iLife apps as "FREE."

I cannot download keynote, pages, number and the like of it for free, but this apps are free to download for certain users.

It's something to do with the main user account (not iTunes account) on my Mac because I logged in with another account and it downloaded fine, I installed it on the HDD and even though the date in App Store was 16th October 2014, it is the full installer of 10.10.2.
To try to resolve this problem, I have copied the installer app elsewhere and deleted it but App Store still will not allow me to download it with my main user account yet just allowed me to update iTunes.
I had a brainwave last night that it might have been related to me changing the default downloads folder to one not on my boot drive (to save disk space on my main boot drive) but having changed it back, tried again, rebooted and tried yet again, deleted my App Store preferences. nothing has worked.

IMovie, iPhoto not free anymore on iPad Air

I purchased an iPad Air for myself a month ago. I installed the free iMovie, iPhoto etc. with my own ID. I gave that iPad Air to a family member and purchased another iPad Air and installed everything the same way as I had on the first. My family member restored the iPad I gave them and tried to get the iMovie, iPhoto with their own ID but it's not free anymore. What can I go to get these apps back on that iPad?

The software was provided free of charge once for the iPad. You used your account to collect on the one time free offer. The offer is now spent. Your family member can not take advantage of a free offer that has been consumed at this point.
What you need to do is disconnect their account on the iPad. Log in to the old iPad with your account, and then reinstall the apps you need to. Then disconnect your account and have them log in again with their account..

IPhoto and iMovie are missing and now not free after reinstall. Is there still a way to get it for free?

I have reset my macair because of another software issue I cannot solve. It solved my issue but now I noticed that iPhoto and iMovie are missing and if I searched it in the appstore it is not free. I check the updates, it is also not there. Help please.

IMovie is not free in appstore.

I re-install OSx on my rMBP late 2013. And now I can't download iMovie for free. It show price 14.99$ but before I re-install OSx I can download normally.
How can I download it for free ?

Have you logged in with the Apple ID you used to register your MacBook Pro? Open the Mac App Store, log in with your Apple ID and go to Purchases, so you should see iMovie, iPhoto and GarageBand to be installed free of charge. If you don't see them there, check that they are hidden, and if so, unhide them > http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4928
Did you accept the applications before reinstalling OS X? If not, this may be the problem

I just bought a new ipad mini retina and downloaded all the free apps from Apple. Or i thought i did, i just realized that i didn't download imovie. When i now go to the app store i have to pay 4.49 euro for it. I got all the other iLife and iworks apps for free.
I allready tried to logout and login again with my Apple id, but that didn't make it free.
Could someone help me?

I have the ipad air and the iWork apps and iMovie and iPhoto are not free.

I purchased the iPad Air on November 1st and it is advertised that Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iPhoto and iMovie are free. But none of them are free.

Before you can download free apps:
1. Make sure you are using IOS 7.
2. Make sure your iPad is registered in My Support Profile. If not, go ahead and add to your profile.
