IMovie on iPad transfer project to iMovie for Mac?

Would I be able to transfer an iMovie project, mid-project, between an iPad and Mac versions of iMovie?
Apple made it clear in the keynote and press releases that this would be possible in GarageBand, but I want to know about iMovie.

I just bought the iPad 2 today and the iMovie app as well. I was looking forward to working on my Go Pro Hero movies on my iPad however I can't figure out how to access the movie events and projects that I have already downloaded to my MacBook. Is there a way to transfer these files to the iPad? Or do I need to directly import from my camera to my iPad via the USB accessory? Thanks.

GeeD, I do not have macKeeper installed. And I am running iMovie 10.0.2.

While Oracle has stated that Raptor will be available for Mac OS X, you can run the early adopter releases today OS X Tiger.

Trying to transfer project from imovie to idvd but keep getting error message - imovie quit unexpectedly

I have created a dvd slideshow using iMovie. Project is completed with music and now I want to be able to share using a dvd. I can't transfer to idvd, imovie keeps shutting down when I try to transfer. Any thoughts of how to handle?

IPad 2 as only monitor for Mac Mini

hello. I own a Mac Mini (2010) and will be traveling overseas. I do not own a laptop, but I do own a WIFI iPad 2. Is there a way to use the iPad 2 as a monitor for my Mac Mini? I would not need to access any of the touch screen features on the iPad, just simply use it as a small monitor. If someone could provide me with a link or a step by step solution it would be very appreciated.

There are apps that allow using an iPod as a secondary monitor for a computer. I do not think it can be the only monitor but maybe after you first use a regular monitor to setup the iPad monitor. You will have to look at the description of the apps/go to theri support site

There is no Microsoft Project for Mac. You could install Windows on your iMac then install and use Project in Windows.

Transfer files from QuickBooks for Mac to TurboTax in Windows 2000

How can it be done to transfer QuickBooks for Mac data into TurboTax on a Windows 2000 PC? Is there any kind of utility program or file converter?
I already know there is NO BUILT-IN SUPPORT in QuickBooks or TurboTax for import/export if the two programs are not on the same computer. Also, Intuit does not have any kind of utility or converter to pass files between Mac and Windows.
Also, I spoke to an Apple technical support person who said that Boot Camp will not support Windows 2000.
Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to get the data out of QB into TT?

Will my 10 plus years of investment data transfer from Quicken 2007 for Windows to Quicken Essentials for Mac without loss of data?

There is a version of Quicken 2007 for Lion and Mountain Lion available. If you own Quicken 2007 for Mac, it is a US$15 upgrade.
Many Users balked at the loss of capabilities in having to move to Quicken Essentials, and Quicken eventually came around and "ported" Quicken 2007 so that it could run on 10.7 and later. I run it and it mostly works, but for tax estimates, they force you to their online tax estimator or suggest you buy their stand-alone product that will accept tax info from Quicken -- no more ballpark estimates from inside Quicken.

Mass Producing a iDVD project - Print shop for Mac

I have been doing a couple of iDVD projects for friends and family. One of my projects got into the hands of a school principal who would now like me to do a video yearbook for her school. I don't have the capabilities for mass production, but I am aware of companies that do this work. Can a copy of an iDVD project be used as a master for a large scale (500+ copies) production?
Also, one of the companies I am looking at has to have graphics from specific software:

I have been using Print Shop for Mac because it incorperates iDVD templates in it's projects. Any of the choices above as similar match to Print Shop?

If you plan to have these DVD's "mass produced" use DLT > Glass Master. Also i'd recommend using apple's top end / professional apps and not consumer / iLife apps in order to avoid possible returns and possible playback issues with many consumer medias.
Pressed DVD's from a glass master have far fewer issues with playback (and also last longer) than a "burned" DVD-R medias.

Any AE plugin Xcode sample project with cuda for mac?

Hello everyone,
As suggested by the AE sdk, I start to create my plugin with sample project from the SDK.
However, I can not find an example with CUDA support for mac.
Now I have some troubles to setup an adobe plugin project with CUDA support for mac, as cuda files are compiled by nvcc.
Anybody can tell me where I can find an example to build an AE plugin with CUDA for mac?

For anyone following along, I’ve been able to create a sample project that uses CUDA in Xcode, and will include it in the next PPro SDK. If anyone is interested in getting it sooner, let me know.

Slow transfer rates using MSN for mac

I'm trying to send files from MSN (for Mac) to an MSN (Windows) client. I'm beind a linksys WRT54G wireless router. Everything is set up well as far as the internet goes (browsing, downloading, uploading etc.). My problem is that when I try to send a file from my computer to another one, it takes forever! [A 2 MB video took over 5 minutes to send]
How can I increase the speed of the transfer? And which ports can I open to increase the speed.

Transfer project from iMovie 11 to FCP X

Boy, do I feel silly. Just created a starter for my movie using parts of an imovie trailer and now want to import it to FCP X to develop the rest of the movie.
I know I can export a .mov in its entirety and just tack it on to my FCP X project, however, is there anyway to bring the whole thing over to FCP X so that I can manipulate it? I thought about XML but that says no music, ken burns etc. will be saved. And my version of FCP X (most current) does not recognize the XML file.

Yes. Open FCPX and choose FILE/IMPORT/iMovie Project.
Or if you want to import all events and projects, choose FILE/Import/iMovie Events.
This works well, but I am not sure if the trailers will be editable in FCPX.
