IMovie speed editor no longer working since Yosemite upgrade

After upgrading to Yosemite yesterday, I've noticed that the speed editor no longer works. It used to be a turtle icon but now it's a clock (3rd icon from the right in the attached image)..but a clock that can never be clicked on. Also Command R is supposed to activate it, but that doesn't work either.
Anyone have any tips about this? This bug is making an already late project much later.

I found the cause for my problem, and probably for yours also: disable the Wrap Timeline option by Unchecking View -> Wrapping Timeline. (I don't know whether this is a bug or "working as designed".)

  • My mobile hotspot no longer works since I upgraded to mountain lion. What happened and how do I get it back?

My mobile hotspot (Samsung Note II)  no longer works since I upgraded to mountain lion (running on MacBook Pro)  What happened and how do I get it back? "
    Keep getting error message:
    "Could not join “NAME-HOTSPOT”.
    A connection timeout occurred"
Please someone help me with this - I do a lot of travelling and use my hotspot!
    Thanks

Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved. Some of these steps are only possible if you have control over the wrieless router.
    Step 1
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
    Step 2
Restart the router and the computer. Many problems are solved that way.
    Step 3
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
    Step 4
    Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
    Step 5
In OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and fix the issues listed in the Summary, if any.
    Step 6
    Back up all data.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Keychain Access in the icon grid.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.
    Step 7
You may need to change other settings on the router. See the guidelines linked below:
Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
    Potential sources of interference
    Step 8
Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
    Step 9
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC).

  • The F5 Networks Host Plugin no longer works since I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1 and this is a major problem. what needs to be done to correct this?

When attempting to login to a GlasPac (auto glass) website, it requires an F5 Plugin to be installed. This has been working in the past using Firefox 3.x.x and now since I upgraded to Firefox 4.0.1 it says the plugin in not compatibable with Firefox 4 and will not load it so I am dead in the water !!!!!!! The FF 4.0 upgrade has caused this serious situation ... what needs to be done to rectify it ???

  • Scrapbook and Snapshots screensavers no longer work after Yosemite upgrade

Upgraded to Yosemite and discovered that the Scrapbook and Snapshots screensaver modules don't work now. Here's how they appear in my screensaver preference pane:
The Scrapbook screensaver doesn't work at all; the Snapshots screensaver will load but isn't fully functional - it only displays a single photo at a time, it doesn't show the background photos any more. Snapshots was my preferred screensaver too. Any thoughts besides a clean reinstallation of Yosemite?
MacBook Pro (Retina, 13-inch, Late 2013)
    2.6 GHz Intel Core i5
    16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
    500 GB Flash storage
    Intel Iris 1536 MB

I saw, from a clean install of Yosemite of a friend, that these two screensavers are not there.
Probably I have brought them back from Snow Leopard.
I would like to remove them from the list of screensaver (or recharge the list of default screensaver), you know if it is possible and how?
I thought I would delete the file screensaver.plist, but I would not combine damage.
    Thank you and hello

  • HT201412 Sega games no longer working since ios6 upgrade

Since installing ios6 on my iPhone 4S, none of my retro sega games work!! Does anyone know any solutions?? I have tried rebooting and everything!!

    Fully updated yes.
Actually although Sega are mainly to blame, there is nothing stopping Apple from either contacting Sega or checking for possible bugs in the OS that may be causing the problem. It also helps Apple to know that there is a problem in the first place.

  • DHT is no longer working since Kernal upgrade

I'm running through a router using a direct conection I use the Blue frog, and Deluge, the router is set up for port forwarding with ports for both applications and has worked flawlessly for the last 2 years. since the last kernel upgrade the ports are closed I assume its to do with Arch config. as the router works ok with other distros

    Is this a usb drive?
It will probably never recognise that drive ever again.. Mountain Lion has this little bug where it cannot recognise some USB drives.. I don't understand it.. but it just happened to me and a quick google shows it is not uncommon.
Your backups are not lost.. they are just not accessible.. you need to plug the drive into a computer with a better.. older OS. Find a new USB drive that Mountain Lion can actually read.. and even write to.. and copy the files across.

  • Email not working since Yosemite upgrade

After upgrading to Yosemite, I couldn't receive emails on my Mac, but I could on iPad and iPhone.  After 2 hours on the phone with Apple, it was discovered the fix for the problem was with my internet provider.  Once we got in touch with them, they fixed it in a matter of seconds.

Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks or Yosemite without erasing drive
    Boot to the Recovery HD:
Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
    Repair
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list.  In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive.  If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported then click on the Repair Permissions button. When the process is completed, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion, Mountain Lion, Mavericks, or Yosemite
OS X Yosemite- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mavericks- Reinstall OS X
OS X Mountain Lion- Reinstall OS X
OS X Lion- Reinstall Mac OS X
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet
if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

  • I used to be able to navigate to a site by clicking in the own arrow on the main text entry window at the top - this no longer works since I upgraded to ver 31.

I can click on the down arrow and see sites I have been to, but I can't navigate to these sites by clicking on a site in the list. Nothing happens

That should not happen. Can you please disable you extensions and restart Firefox to see if this temporarily resolves the issue?
