IMovie stabilization feature disabled

I have imported my 1080p 24fps video and I don't have the option to analyze it for image stablization.  I have attached a screen shot and you can see the image stablization featured is greyed out.  Also there is no option to run analyze on an event from the file menu either.

I'm assuming you are using iMovie 10 (?).  In iMovie 10 you can only stabilize a clip by selecting it in the timeline, not in the event pane.
I'm afreaid your screen shot doesn't display - you need to use the camera option (camera icon in top of posting window).

I downloaded the updated Firefox, but the ad-on for converting YouTube music videos to mps files is now unavailable. How do I get it back? Why was this feature disabled?
In the former Firefox version there was a box to click for converting YouTube music videos into HQ mp3 files. That box is no longer apparent in the new Firefox version. I went back to Ad-On s and re-downloaded the program YouTube to MP3 1.2. It says it's not compatible with Firefox 6.0. Can I reinstall the older version of Firefox?

When I clicked on the second site mentioned, I got such EXPLICIT, step-by-step directions!!! Thank you so much. I'd been wondering what that window was that kept popping up with the Firefox icon and that other funny thing. The word *install* was never mentioned. Pictographs were never my thing.
When I looked under the initial system requirements, it said that OS X 10.4.5 and higher were good for 5.0. I didn't check further. Under your advice, I'll go with the older version. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

  • IMovie stabilize command not working

I imported a couple video clips from Aperture, but iMovie stabilize function is not working for them. Are some types of clips not able to be stabilized? I followed the help direction exactly - select the clip, click the Stabilization button - but nothing happens.
    Any ideas?

After muddling around for longer than I want to admit, I discovered that once I made a movie project, I could use the Stabilization button. The other editing buttons worked on the clips directly before added to a movie, so I expected Stabilization to do the same.

  • UC540 - 7975G - UCM DOWN, FEATURES DISABLED

Using a SR520 at remote site to connect 7975G to UC540 at main site.  Keep seeing "UCM Down, Features Disabled" and the phone reboots.  Do not see this issue at the main site where the UC540 is.  Any ideas how to correct this issue?

    Hello,
It seems that the phone is losing connection to the UC.
Most likely you need to check the connectivity between sites.

  • Is iMovie's stabilization feature broken?

Hey guys new here, I did a few searches but didn't see anything in the past few years representing my problem.
I just bought a Macbook Pro Retina and installed the newest update of OS X Yosemite and iMovie.
I got some videos recorded on my iPhone 5S imported to iPhoto.
I have tried multiple times starting a new project, importing a new iPhone video from the iPhoto library, and then applying the image stabilization. It never stabilizes the video, just leaves that circle "thinking/working" indicator and never finishes the process. Same thing happens for Fix Rolling Stutter.
    I have tried already:
Videos in different formats and from different devices (Just using iPhone in example because those are the specific videos I am trying to work with)
    Uninstalling and reinstalling iMovie
    Checking for updates
Trying to edit different length clips (0.5 sec clips to see if it was just taking a long time)
Opening new projects with fresh videos
How it shows in my screenshot there is how it acts, just shows that forever. I can uncheck the box and it goes away, but it won't stabilize my videos.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks!

  • XD-bit (CPU feature) disabled/unavailable for Satellite A100-PSAA9

Last week I bought the notebook Toshiba Satellite A100-847 (Satellite A100-SPAA9) that has an Intel Core 2 Duo processor, model T7200.
According to Intel specifications this processor (like all Core and Core 2 processors) has the XD-bit feature, known in Windows as DEP. I had the unpleasant surprise to find out that this feature is
reported by Windows as unavailable (in hardware). I understood from the electronic manual on the recovery CD (which is an older edition than the printed manual that comes in the package) that I can make this feature
available (for some older Satellite models) but I couldn't find any option in my BIOS to do this (my BIOS is made by Phoenix, version 2.0).
I really want to know how can I make this feature available/active as my processor supports it and so does the operating system bought together with the laptop and more than that, this feature is something beneficial - especially designed for security reasons and supported by all modern processors and operating systems.
Do I have to wait for an updated BIOS to include this option (to activate the XD bit feature) or to have it automaticaly set as active/available (instead of disabled/unavailable)?
I am expecting a well documented response from somebody who knows what I am talking about.
    Thank you very much.

First of all, Ive started this topic hoping that I can obtain a technical and to the point response, regarding exactly what I have asked. I do not wish for this thread to become a technical glossary, because any user that has the slightest notion of using Google or Wikipedia can easily find out what XD-bit, DEP and PAE mean (and those who dont already know what these mean cannot help me).
I am compelled to repeat myself: my problem addresses the technical personnel, who really understand and know what I am talking about; it is not addressed to the average Joe who likes to hear himself talking, but not to the point.
Secondly, anyone can find out that the Intel T7200 processor has the XD-bit feature just by searching on the
Intel site: he will only have to type the words T7200 specifications into the search box; but anyway, here is the link youve asked me for:
    http://processorfinder.intel.com/details.aspx?sspec=sl9sf
Thirdly, my system has to support the XD-bit feature because:
    a) the operating system acquired together with the notebook is Windows XP SP2 Home Edition (so it is SP2 and yes it is in the PAE mode!)
    b) the mainboard and the Intel 945PM chipset support this feature it is the standard Intel NAPA platform (and, just for the record, the only difference between this notebook and another notebook I own is just the processor, which is Core Duo simple -Yonah-, not Core 2 Duo -Merom- as this Toshiba notebook has; and the other notebook has the XD-bit feature enabled and Windows uses it)
Ive also tried to install Windows XP SP2 Professional and I used diagnostic and information programs (e.g. Sisoftware Sandra) but with the same result: I am reported that the processor does not have the XD-bit feature or this feature is deactivated.
Taking into account that Intel has blessed this processor model with the XD-bit feature and Toshiba has used at its turn the omnipotent Intel 945PM chipset which has nothing against the XD-bit feature mentioned above it results that this feature has been deactivated most likely by BIOS.
Ive started the topic [hoping that this forum is visited by Toshiba technicians in order to find out the problems their clients/users encounter and to act accordingly by offering them their support.
PS: I am not mad, not at all; I do appreciate the interest shown in my problem, but I do not wish to accept/encourage useless and pointless discussions.
If you wish, we can have other discussions on hardware topics but not on this thread in which I only hope to obtain the solution to my problem (solution that can come by a possible update of the actual version of the BIOS present on the site).

  • Adding second instance of SSRS reporting features disabled

I am running SQL Server 2008 R2 server on windows 2008 server.
On the MSSQLServer instance, I already have Reporting services configured in Native mode.
I am trying to add another instance of SSRS in integrated mode. I have followed the steps shown below. The account used has administrator privilages on the server and the MSSQLServer instance.
When I am trying to select the reporting services, the features are disabled.
Any ideas on how I can solve this issue.
    Thanks
    Nate

    Hello Nate,
You selected "Add feature to an existing instance" and in your existing instance SSRS is already installed; select "New instance" instead to install a new instance of SSRS.

  • Find & Search Feature Disabled??

I cant use the find or seach feature to locate any words in a textbook pdf file. I have tried the following: opening directly from source-find or search=no results (I am looking for words I know are in the textbook, like on the first page, I can see them) *saved the file to my hard drive and tried the same=no luck just says none found *updated to current version 8 = tried everything again=again no luck--can they (school) disabled that feature in the file so we cant search for words?? Thanks!

Do you mean to open the select text tool??? I have never had this problem before...i am now running ver 8 - before i just went to the find area or did ctrl+f and it searched just fine...it is not recognizing any of the words in the text i know are there

  • Photoshop CS5 "Drag&Drop Place" feature disable?

Photoshop CS5 now allows you to Drag and Drop files into your currently open document and place them as a "Smart" layer. This is quite a nifty feature, and I use it all the time for indesign, but i have grown so use to having Drag and Drop in photoshop simply open the dropped document, that i just cant shake the habit, and am constantly placing files that i simply wanted to open. Now Drag and Drop to open still works if you don't have any documents open or if you drag and drop over the menu bar area, but it's slightly less convenient.
I'd really like to just disable the Drag and Drop to Place, feature, but it would be nice if only placed a dropped file if you were holding down the control or alt key, otherwise it would just open it as normal.

    Hi Nick,
I understand your issue, I got the same when upgraded to PS CS5 too, now I just got used to drag the files around the PS UI.
One thing (nor sure if you already know) is that you don't have to drag the file exactly in the menubar to open it instead of place,
you can drag anywhere in the UI that not inside a open doc tab, I drag mine into my layers panel, or any pter panel that is open
    at the moment.

  • Features Disabled in Flash Pro CC

I recently purchased Flash Professional to use for animating, after trying it out. During the period where I was using the trial version of the software, I noticed that certain options were not available to use, but I assumed that it was because I was using a trial. After purchase, the features are still disabled. Some of them are extremely important for me to use, like being able to change to a blend mode other then "Normal" or "Add", and being able to use the Hairline stroke width preset for shading.
I've searched online extensively and have not found an answer. Adobe also doesn't appear to mention these features as being disabled in the trial version, which is even more confusing. Is it me, or them?
    My specs are:
    OSX 10.9.2 (Mavericks)
    2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
    8 GB 1600 MHz DDr3
As you can see, it doesn't let me use these features. There are other disabled features as well, such as:
    Horizontal and Vertical in Scale
    Miter
I can only change the top left corner in the "Rectangle Options" on the Rectangle tool.
    Can't import video.
    Among others.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

    Hi,
You must be using an HTML5 Canvas doctye in Flash Pro where you see these options as disabled. This is because of some limitations in the CreateJS export or browser support for some of these features.
If you create a regular AS3 doctype(for Flash), it'll have all of these options enabled.
There are no limitations in terms of features in the trial version and full version of Flash Pro CC, apart from the time limit ofcourse.
Let me know if you still face any issues.

  • Panning features disabled

I just got Captivate 4 and installed it. I watched the
Recording tutorial that comes with Captivate 4. (I've been using
Captivate 1 for several years.) I went to try out the new Panning
feature but when I go to the "Auto Recording" button and click it.
The Automatic Recording options box appears. However, the "Panning"
drop down box is disabled. The exact same thing happens when I
click the Full Motion Recording button or the Manual Recording
button. And the same thing is happening no matter which "Mode" that
I have checked. Is there some setting somewhere that turns the
Panning on? What am I doing wrong?

An observation: Looks like you can only use the Panning features if your recording size is smaller than the window you're recording. I think I was thinking more of this feature as a zoom tool than what it actually does. If my recording size is smaller than the window I'm recording, then the Panning features are enabled.
I had looked up the Panning feature in the Adobe documentation and it was extremely limited on what it says. I think a lot more needs to be written about this feature so we're not guessing on what it's suppose to do and what it's limitations are. I had to figure this one out on my own since the documentation wasn't sufficient.

  • How is the 'Restore Session' feature disabled entirely?

Ive come to the end of my days using FF if this continues.
Im sick and tired of the session restore feature trying to RESTORE a session that I closed out, sometimes by using the power button quickly...say because I crossed a site that I thought might be infested or something.
    Can it be DISABLED?
If so, please tell me how and I appreciate the help.
If not, Mozilla, this has cost you a user..and Im betting not just one.
GET RID of this feature if it cant be disabled. I HATE it. It serves NO purpose other than to irritate users like me who have to shut down the brower or even the pc because some crack head put a virus on a site and we're trying to NOT get it...then when we reopen FF it just RESTORES the SESSION thereby OPENING the very site we DIDNT WANT to OPEN!
    Im fed up.
If I cant disable this feature, Im done.
    Any help is appreciated.

Close all tabs before closing the browser. If you do not clear the history then others can check that as well, so you may want to use [[Clear Recent History]].

  • Sun/Oracle x86 blade BIOS features - disable cores?

    Hi
Does anyone know if it is possible to disable CPU cores on any Sun/Oracle x86 blades like it is possible, as example, on some HP x86 blades (E5600 Xeon series)?
If this is the case does anyone know if it is possible to license a quad core CPU as an dual core using this feature?

  • Toshiba Satellite PRO A60DU - CPU Features Disable execute bit - Firmware updates?

    Hello everyone,
    I have a problem with a laptop that i've recently gotten. It's a rather old model Toshiba Satellite PRO A60DU / Model #: PSA65E- 01K033DU.
I wanted to install a new operating system on the laptop (the latest Ubuntu desktop version) and after going through the entire setup, and reboot. I got into the front screen for login and it was giving me the following errors.
Your CPU appears to be lacking expected security protections. Please check your BIOS settings or for more information run: /usr/bin/check-bios-nx --verbose
    0 packages can be updated.
    0 updates are security updates.
To run a command as administrator (user "root"), use "sudo <command>".
    See "man sudo_root" for details.
    tjuky@tjuky-laptop:~$ /usr/bin/check-bios-nx --verbose
This CPU is family 15,model 4, and has NX capabilities but is unable to use these protective features because the BIOS is configured to disable the capability. Please enable this in your BIOS for more details, see: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Security/CPUFeatures
After a bit of research i figured out that i had to change the NX settings of my device by going into the setup... and according to all the data that i've found out it's suppose to have the options yet it isn't anywhere in there yet.
    So i reckon a Firmware update would do the trick. However, wherever i look i can't find any firmware updates. So my ultimate questions are;
    1) Is it possible for me to change the NX settings in a way without upgrading my firmware?
2)Are there any actual firmware upgrades for the device? and so yes, where can i find them?
I'm quite desperate as you can see, i hope someone is able to help me.
    Kind regards,
