IMovie Tutorial in Spanish?

Anyone know how I can find a copy of iMovie tutorial in Spanish? I'm tryint to teach a Spanish speaking editor how to use it, and it would be so nice to have her read it in Spanish... I'm hoping for a download somewhere.
PowerBook G4 1.6 80gb   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

maybe a Spanish version of the software?
If you select Spanish as the first choice of language in System Prefs: International, iMovie will be in Spanish.

If you prefer a proper printed manual, check out David Pogue's 'Missing Manual' series, they are the best. Generally available from Amazon.

  • Can't download iMovie tutorial app

how do I upgrade the memory on my Macbook, I purchsed the iMovie '11 and a tutorial, but can't downlaod the tutorial, I
think I don't have enough memeory

    Hi..
The minimum requriements for iMovie are Mac OS X v10.7.4 or later. Same for iPhoto
See Requirements: under Information right side of the App Store window for those apps.
Since you are running v10.6.8, you can't download the apps unless you upgrade to Lion v10.7.4 first.
    I'm brand new to Mac
You can upgrade your Mac to Lion if it meets the requirements.
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
    2GB of memory
OSX v10.6.6 or later (V10.6.8 recommended)
    7GB of available spare
In the About This Mac window you'll see:  Processor  It must say  Core 2 Duo in order to upgrade to Lion and at least 2GB of memory (RAM).
Check to see how much free space there is on the startup disk.
Right or control click the MacintoshHD icon on the Desktop.
Click Get Info. In the Get Info window you will see Capacity and Available. Make sure there's a minimum of 15% free disk space.

  • IMovie Tutorial (Book)

I bought a copy of iLife.05 book at MAC Expo in London and whilst it`s quite good it`s not what I`d call iMovie Specific. Does anynone know a really good book (tutorial) with colour help-as-you-go pics for would be Movie Moguls in the making like me please.
I`ve tried the `support and `Apple tutorials` but I have to constantly trawl back and fro to try and find what I want. I could take a book with me and read it anywhere, anytime? Any Ideas/Suggestions as my local bookshops are no good.

  • Where can i find a tutorial on how to use iMovie 2013 version?

I've been making some clips anywhere from 6 seconds to 15 seconds long, and I just wanted if there are any good links on how to use iMovie 2013 version. I've looked on youtube but everything on their are old clips or small clips on how to run the program. I'm not an advanced user but i've picked up some of the basics on iMovie. I just want to learn the basics and advance onto the harder setups with iMovie. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

  • IMovie 6 HD Plugin Incompatibility

I have been using iMovie HD 6.0.3 (267.2) for a while and have found it a very untrustworthy and unreliable application. Apart from the regular crashes, one day my iMovie refused to open so I reinstalled it from iLife 05 and updated it from the apple site. Now when I open iMovie I get the following pop-up message -
The plugin “Twirl.bundle” cannot be loaded, because it isn't designed to run on this computer. If you don't need this plugin, remove it from your plugins folder (in Library > iMovie)
Now I know I used Twirl on previous projects with no problems and yet when I got to the plugins folder, as directed, I find it completely empty.

You cannot update iMovie 5 (part of iLife 5) you have to buy iLife 6.
I have been using iMovie 6 for two years and have never had a serious problem with it.
Apple's tutorials for iMovie HD 6 are here:
    http://www.apple.com/support/imoviehd/

  • Import files into iDVD from iMovie OR export files from iMovie to iDVD?

I've been told it is better to import iMovie projects into iDVD (within iDVD) rather than exporting from iMovie to iDVD within iMovie. I was told that iDVD does a better job of rendering things than iMovie. Is this true because this is not the instructions given in the iMovie tutorial.

Not sure what advice you have been given and how you have interpreted it.
You are of course referring to im6 here since you can't drag projects from im08 to iDVD.
I don't make many DVD's anymore and may well be wrong here but I'm not aware that dragging an im6 project to iDVD is any different than using share/iDVD and I'm wondering if the advice relates to exporting from im6 and then importing the exported movie into iDVD which is indeed a different workflow.

  • What kind of camcorders will work with iMovie?

I'm confused about what kind of camcorders can be used to import footage onto iMovie. Does the camcorder have to be digital? Can it have one of those little tapes?
Also, if I don't have iDVD can I record the edited video right onto the camcorder tape from iMovie? I've never used this stuff before, any comments are appreciated.
    Thanks.
    iBook G4   Mac OS X (10.3.9)

    Hi stiles:
First, I suggest strongly that you view this:
    http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/tutorial/
IDVD and iMovie are two different software programs that come as a part of the iLife bundle. You do not need iDVD to run iMovie nor the other way around. So, you can export your edited video directly to your camera from imovie (and it's up to you if you want to burn a dvd in iDVD after that).
You will need a Digital Video Camcorder like this

  • Recording from iSight - no sound in iMovie 8

Just tried this twice - restarted iMovie just in case.
Any ideas on how to fix this?

    Welcome to Apple Discussions, kenadianz
You're built-in iSight has no mic, so iMovie 7 ('08) will need to use your iMac's built-in mic or an external one.
If you have added an external mic, be sure you have selected the right mic for use in iMovie. If you have iMovie > View > Audio Skimming disabled and have not dragged the clips up into the edit window, you will not be able to hear anything. Beyond this, there are too many possibilities to try to list. You will need to do some troubleshooting to try to identify what needs to be fixed.
Try doing a voiceover on the clip. If that will not record sound either, check your volume settings.
Also, check your iMovie > Help for recording audio. If you need more help, try the Mac 101: iMovie tutorial to see if that might let you find your problem.
If none of the above helps, try recording audio in iMovie HD 6 to see if your problem is with iMovie 7 only.
Let us know what you find, and, if you need more suggestions, post as many details as you can about what your are doing and what you have tried.

  • Inserting date in iMovie?

With Apple iPhone videos is there a way to show the date on screen from the meta data in iMovie on an iPad?
    Thanks

welcome Tamara to the  boards..
you did post in the iMHD vers.5 section of this board, is this YOUR version of iMovie...? 'cause, advice is different for different versions...
for iMHD5, the tutorials are here
    http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/tutorial/index.html
.. which will explain the correct and easy use of the KB effect.. for sure, you can set any position and size for the end of the 'movement' ..
the 'pixelated look' of stills in iM is widely discussed... a) iM shows just a lowered-quality-preview of your project = final export loosk better, b) iMHD5 is for TV delivery, on a computer the results never match these standards.... and c) be sure, your using at last the NTSC resolution, 720x480 for your images you're importing ...
'station bugs' is a bit tricky, 'cause IMHD5 has no second video track..
you need QTpro, on my site is an illustrated advice:
    http://karsten.schluter.googlepages.com/watermark
    (set transparency to your needs....)
consider the usage/purchase of iM08, which allows a much easier way to add bugs, logos, arrows, speech-bubbles etc into a video... and which handles podcasts easier..

  • I have Mac OSX Version 10.9.4 - I cannot find an imoive tutorial.

When I go to Help and type in iMovie tutorial I am able to find that, but am "thrown" out of the program when I tap "continue".   Are there any tutorials for  iMoive?  There are several changes in the program from the OSX Lion version 10.6.8.  Has anyone else experienced difficulties with this?

  • Best version of iMovie?

I have a new Mac, which I never had a Mac before and I just wanted to mess with some video i have. But I heard mac took a step back with the features. Like the 08 version, you cant slow down a part of the clip etc and thats what I wanted to do the most. So whats the best version of iMovie to use? Thanks

(Probably the 'best' iMovie version was iMovie 2.....most of us really loved that one)!
Did you get iLife 08 with your new computer? You need to examine your particular requirements for the types of movies you wish to create. Do you want to put them on the web? Make DVDs? Etc?
How easy it is to import into iMovie also depends on the format of the video you have. iMovie 6 uses .dv footage, so you may need to convert yours to that if you are recording in a different format.
You should give iMovie 8 a try to see how it works. There are good on-line tutorials on Apple's iMovie page. iM 8 can accept different video formats.
    Here is a tutorial:
    http://www.apple.com/findouthow/movies/
If you want to make movies that you can export back to a camcorder, you have to use iMovie HD6. That is one of the reasons I am continuing to use that pretty much exclusively.
If you have iLife 08 installed on your computer, or if you purchase it, you can download a free version of iMovie HD6--6.0.4. You can get it here: http://www.apple.com/support/downloads/imovieHD6.html
Apple also has tutorials for iMovie 6. http://www.apple.com/support/imovie/tutorial/index.html

  • IMovie Rewind Clip  not working

Hi, From iMovie Tutorial I should be able to Modify a clip ie Slow Motion, Instant Replay, Rewind. When I highlight the clip in project and then go up to my Modify button, open table the buttons for Slow Motion etc all have the speed & % keys in grey (not black) how can I enable these keys to work? My iMovie version is 10.0.1
    Thanks Wylo

After muddling around for longer than I want to admit, I discovered that once I made a movie project, I could use the Stabilization button. The other editing buttons worked on the clips directly before added to a movie, so I expected Stabilization to do the same.
