IMovie Workflow Tasks for Automator

Are there any iMovie workflow tasks available from Automator? When I bring up Automator, iMovie does not appear in the list of applications, although other iLife applications DO, such as iTunes, iPhoto, and iDVD.
What I would like to do is create a workflow that will take an iMovie project, and then simply export it in the three formats I use most often. When I do a video project, I will export it to a DVD, export it to iWeb, and export it as an iPod movie.
Has anyone done this? Or do I need to rely on AppleScript?

Bad news, I'm afraid.
Unfortunately iMovie (or at least iMovie HD, don't know about iMovie 6) is not AppleScriptable. That's (more or less) why there aren't any Automator actions for it.
It might be possible to use "UI Scripting" (sending AppleScript commands to iMovie's menu items and buttons) but it's not guaranteed to work and you'd need to know a fair bit about AppleScript to have much hope.

I use .bat file witch run MaxL script for loading data form oracle database into an essbase cube. For running .bat file is made a Windows Task.
Is there any other opportunities to run .bat file not using windows tasks? Maybe there is special utilities in Oracle EPM Systems or any other.....

There is no internal scheduler.You either have to use Windows Scheduler, Unix Cron or a third party tool. Take a look at Star Analytics Command center, it is designed specifically for Hyperion applications http://www.staranalytics.com/products/command_center.htm

Related Item link is broken in DispForm.aspx for a task in Workflow Tasks list if file name contains " ' " (single quote)

Description:
We have created a custom workflow in Microsoft Visual Studio 2013 and SharePoint 2013. This Workflow is associated with a Document library.
This Workflow starts as soon as any new item is created OR updated in Document library and creates a Task in Workflow Tasks list.
Related Item link is not working in following scenario -
Upload a file that contains “ ' “
in its name, in a document library
Navigate to Workflow Tasks list
Open View Item form (DispForm.aspx ) of Task Created by workflow then click on link in Related Item fields
OUPUT:
Related Item link truncates after “ ' “
Eg.
Original Link: http://<Site URL>/Documents/te'st.txt
Related Item Field: http://<Site URL>/Documents/te

As I tested per your description, I can reproduce the issue as well.
From what I have found out, it seems SharePoint resolve single quote into different code in different place. During the test, if I set Task Name to Document Name, single quote will be resolved to ' , if I set some field to Document encoded URL, single
quote will be resolved to %27 . For now, I haven't found out any article talking about this issue.
As workaround, we may find out a way to change the Related Item field. However, it is OOB field in workflow task (SharePoint 2013) content type, and this content type cannot be modified in form.
I'd suggest you add new column to get document url and place in the form in Task content type settings.

Why do I not get the checkout option for a pdf type document when clicking on the document link in the SharePoint workflow task?

We are trying to use workflows to review and edit pdf files in sharepoint 2010. We are having a couple of issues and am hoping someone has the answer.....
1) When myself and coworkers click on the pdf document in the library, we get the check out option as expected. However when we click on the document
link in a workflow task (on the sharepoint site), the pdf opens as a temporary file and we do not get the check out option. Why does this happen?????
2) The same thing happens when we click on the document link in the workflow task email; HOWEVER, one of our co-workers does get the
check out option when clicking on the link in the email task. Why would she get the checkout option using the email and not when clicking on the link in the task list on the sharepoint site ???? We have compared our internet settings and adobe
settings to ours and found no differences.
We are using Sharepoint 2010, Windows 7, IE8, Adobe Reader X or XI. Some of us have Adobe Pro X and have the same issues.

I try to reproduce the issue, however, no matter when I click the pdf type document in the library or click on the pdf document link in the workflow task email, it download the pdf doucment and then I can open it.
It will be better if you can descript how you
get the check out option as expected when you click on the pdf document in the library.
Then I upload a
word type document to the library, no matter when I click the word type document in the library or click on the word document link in the workflow task email, I can open the word document directly and get the check out option as expected.
I recommend to use the other type docuemts to check whether the check out option works.

Workflow creating task for user in Outlook

Is it possible to create a task in outlook for a specific user via workflow? My Boss want to have every user informed via mail that there is a new element in a list (that works fine) and one User should have a task (even better a complete to do list) in
his outlook task tab.

Based on your description, my understanding is that you want to create the tasks for users in Outlook with workflow.
I recommend to use workflow to create tasks in a task list in SharePoint and then sync the task list with outlook by clicking the button Connect to Outlook in the ribbon of the task list.
After that, the tasks created in the task list will be automatically synced to Outlook.

Oracle human workflow task services have no support for SAML2.0 in 11.1.1.5

When I have checked the SAML binding version of Oracle human workflow task service WSDL (TaskQueryService2?ORAWSDL), it has a SAML 1.0 policy attached to it in the soap header?
Does SOA Suite 11.1.1.5.0 workflow tasking services support SAML2.0 policy ?
I have tried applying SAML2.0 policy from OSB on the Business service calling TaskQuerySerivice2, it does not accept it. As the SAML version of wsdl is embedded with SAML1.0 policy, business service
did not run?
As this Tasking services come as part of standard SOA Suite install, is there any work around to update the WSDL to change the policy to SAML 2.0?

Well if you don't say so in your post, I just assume you didn't mostly because of your problem.
In the forum guidelines it is explained how to formulate your questions in order to get the best results. For instance describe what you did up to the point you got stuck, the release your on could be of importance and what you already tried to resolve the problem.

Using Automator for scheduled tasks for my media folder.

Anyone with automator experience that are able to help me set up a scheduled task for my media folder, using for example iCal?
I have 2 programs for cleaning and adding metadata for my media folder:
iFlicks and iDentify.
And I want them to scheduled clean new files in my folder. iFlicks first, and iDentify next.
Complicated? Doable?

If you are not too keen on running those commands you might want to try http://www.igetter.net/iGetter.html This download manager seems to allow the scheduled downloading that you need. I think you would have to go to the Apple site and find the url for the standalone updaters to find the link after Software Update identifies them. Then use this program to schedule the downloads. Sometimes those seem more stable anyway.
The program us shareware. It appears from the description that the program remains fully functional but puts up a nag screen if the program has not been registered.

Email Notification for Forwarded Workflow task

Hi all,
Is there a way to trigger an email notification for a Forwarded Workflow task?
That is when we forward a task from my SAP inbox to another SAP user's inbox by clicking on the fwd button, there is no email notification generated to the user notifying that a task has been forwarded to him/her? We have to manually send an email to the person notifying that I have fwded a task in his inbox.
Maybe something in SWNCONFIG...
But what?? not sure... We currently use RSWUWFML2 ...

Assign-To-Do task for groups not showing in My workflow task webpart

I work with Nintex My workflow task webpart. I have couple of assign to do task actions in my workflow.
There if Assigned To is Initiator task is added to My workflow task webpart and if Assigned To
is a group, then task is not added to My workflow task webpart.
I want to know is that the behavior of Nintex, or something went wrong in my implementation.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to display the tasks assigned to a group in Nintex My workflow task web part.
From the link below we can know that the Nintex My workflow task web part can only query for tasks for the user (queries the database), it only queries based on their login name, not on group membership.

How to find ObjectKey for the workflow, or Task for a ObjectKey

I am developing a custom workflow for a customer request,
I need to apply a condition like, If there is a open workflow request for this customer, then it should not start another workflow.
how do I do that ?
I tried to look into SWi6, it gives results till I keep the Object key Blank, if I use this with the object key then it gives no result.
I have also tried function module SAP_WAPI_WORKITEMS_TO_OBJECT, but still no success.
I have developed my own Business object for this with key fields.

Hi,
You can check in the table SWW_WI2OBJ, whether for the key and business object, there is workflow exist or not.
Get the last workitem based on the timestamp and pass that work item in SWWWIHEAD and get the top work item.
Now check whether the status is COMPLETED or INPROCESS or READY, based on which you can trigger or not.

As I amleady wrote (in an other thread) I dislike Automator which, from my point of view add a supplementary level between the application (here Numbers) and AppleScript.
