IMovieHD 6 plays the video just a few seconds and the video quits

When I using iMovieHD 6 the video freezes after a few seconds of viewing the video. But the audio keeps playing . I like iMovieHD 6 but I will revert back to iMovieHD 5 if I have to. Any help would be greatly appreicated.

Wish I could take credit for it although early on I did get my iMovie project to work but was not observant enough to figure out what I had done. I was more in a panic about iMovie not working correctly and was on the phone with Apple at the time. Fortunately the "fix" was discovered and documented by someone on the QuickTime Discussion Forum! This problem is more a QuickTime issue instead of with iMovie.
I decided to take the Archive and Install route to revert back to QT 7.1.5 rather than use the sleep work around.

My computer meets the requirements.
All software (Windows, iTunes and QuickTime) are up to date.
As for updating my drivers, I found nothing labeled 'Video'. The closest thing I found in Computer/Manage/Device Manager was to click + next to 'Display Adapters' under that I found 'Intel (R) HD Graphics Family' which I right-cicked. From the menu, instead of 'Properties', I selected 'Update Driver Software...', then I selected 'Search Automatically for updated driver software'. I saw the messages "Searching for Software... Searching online for Software... The best driver software for your device is already installed. Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date." I got these same messages when I searched for updated audio drivers.
My computer is already at the highest display resolution. (1366 x 768 recommended) That's as high as my resolution will go. Hmm, I noticed the article's example shows '(1920 x1080 recommended)'. Is my max 1366 x 768 resolution high enough?
As for QuickTime, deselecting 'Enable Direct3D video acceleration' had no effect. Disabling the DirectX entirely (Safe mode (GDI only)) allowed the audio to play, but there was no video, only a black screen.
As for turning on DMA, the only item under 'IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers' is 'Intel Mobile Express Chipset SATA AHCI Controller' So I right-clicked, selected 'Properties'. There's no 'Advanced Settings' tab in there. The tabs are 'General, Drivers, Details, Resources' no 'Advanced Settings' anywhere. So much for that.
'Readyboost' was already set at 'Do not use'.
No 'NVIDIA nForce Serial ATA (SATA) controllers' exist in my computer.
The problem still exists. Please help.

I'm going to guess videos buffer for a while also...
Two possibilities, one is you should close apps on the iPad, the other is your internet speed is not able to handle the demands of a high speed device.
To close apps: Double click home button, swipe up to close the apps.
To solve internet problem, contact your provider. Basic internet is not enough for video games and movies. Your router may be old and slow.

Sounds like a bad memory card. Have you tried another card?

Assuming you are in a region where you are allowed to redownload your past music purchases, delete the broken tracks from your iTunes library, close and then reopen iTunes, go to the iTunes Store home page, click the Purchased link from the Quick Links section in the right-hand column, then select Music and Not on this computer. You should find download links for your tracks there.
While downloading select Downloads in the left-hand column and make sure Allow Simultaneous Downloads is unticked.
If the problem persists, or that facility is not yet available in your region, contact the iTunes Store support staff through the report a problem links in your account history, or via Contact Support.

But that requires the computer to see the ipod. I am having the same problem and I keep being told to restore it, but you have to either get the ipod to turn on or have the computer see it in order to so that. Right now I have a pretty useless 32GB ipod touch cos I cant get the thing to turn on! I can only get the apple logo for like maybe 20 seconds and it goes away. Hi just wanted to let you know I solved most of my XP problems with my new IPOD. It won't recognise the IPOD or driver and froze and locked up and then the battery died. After hours of trying different things here is what I did. I completly closed computer down. Waited 15 minutes turned on and reloaded everything. I put the usb cable in but not hooked up to IPOD. I turned off Mcaffee (all of it). After my computer came on. I then went and closed everything I didn't need in the bottom toolbar. (taskbar). I then reloaded the software and waited. Took forever to reload and I don't know why but whatever it worked but I DID NOT HOOK UP THE IPOD LIKE IT SAID! I instead shut down the computer after loading the software and waited 5 minutes and turned it back on. I again waited and shut of mcaffee. It loaded everything fine this time and said new hard ware and drivers detected. I plugged my IPOD in and YES I WAS UP AND RUNNING (THIS IS AFTER 6 HOURS OF PLAYING WITH OTHER THINGS!) I am able to load and play, burn, watch movies, see pictures and everything your suppose too! The only thing I see different than the instructions is I left my usb cable plugged in and when it said to eject the disk I didn't. I also didn't plug in the IPOD (5th Gen) and then I shut down waited and then restarted the computer. I hope this helps others because I know the feeling of wanting to return something you paid dearly for and worked hard at saving money to buy one and it doesn't work. My only thing I dislike about apple is they didn't supply a ac adapter for the IPOD and the instructions say to plug it up when trying to charge battery. DUHHHHHH, ya can't do that if ya don't have one and stores are closed and won' open until Monday! But at least I am up and running. I just hate having to plug up IPOD to computer daily to charge the battery which only last a half a day1

I need assistance in burning an imovie to a DVD. I've done this before, but am having problems this go around. When I get to the import section and insert the blank dvd it runs a few seconds and ejects it. Any ideas?

The real question is how do I get to hear my blue ray and DVD discs in 5.1 sound? Will this work if I exchange my blue ray player for a Denon 3D blue ray or other player?

I think I might have found an answer - importing a folder and or Limewire!
Either Limewire mess's with the files, folder or your system or iTunes attempts to stop illegally downloaded files being played. iTunes might also do it if importing a lot of files in one go.
I imported a music folder that isn't mine from our home network drive that has a few tracks in it downloaded through Limewire. I re checked some of the files in Ableton Live and they are actually damaged! So I tried importing one of the Limewire tunes again individually after finding some info online (links to the pages at bottom) and the track plays no prob now. I also un-checked the "look for shared folders" in iTunes preferences.
For about 2 years now I haven't been able to import more than 3 files at a time which is why I imported a whole folder (about 50 tracks) just after the software update and C.D importing.
My concern is that importing a whole folder even without any Limewire downloads in it might well be treated this way by iTunes. Most of the tracks in our network drive folder that have been downloaded through Limewire are legit direct connect transfers from producer to producer or legit submitted tracks!

The main problem is when I grab video clips from the desktop to the project window and play back on monitor of CS4, I get jerky video for few seconds and freeze it while playing audio perfectly up until to end of the clip. I have tried the same thing with APPro 1.5, the same thing has happened. When I play the SXS card thru Sony XDCAM EX1 on the Televion, I could not find any jerky video there. I have set the XDCAM EX1 and PProCS4 for PAL/HQ/1080i/25fps. Any other suggestions to try out.. Thx

I assume that the "desktop" is your C:/ drive and assume that is where you also run your Adobe application from.
Thats asking for exactly the issue you are experiencing.
PPRo needs multiple drives and setups to run correctly. Check the setup and specs required for the application.

This problem just started today. When I turn on or restart my Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version), my screen is light gray like normal, and then after a few seconds my entire screen flashes completely bright yellow for a few seconds, and then it goes to the normal Welcome screen (where I choose to login as myself or a guest user). This suddenly started today and has not stopped since. This keeps happening every single time I turn on or restart my computer.
Yesterday I installed all the Mavericks and other updates that were available in the App Store, so I'm wondering if this is related to that since this never happened prior to my doing those updates yesterday. When I first installed the new OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) update, it went through the whole installation process (took about 10 minutes), and then during the installation I got an error message saying that it couldn't verify my iTunes application that was on my laptop, and then my laptop finished installing the updates. Then once my laptop restarted, the App Store "Updates" section said that I had to do the whole OS X Mavericks (10.9.3) and iTunes (Version 11.2) updates all over again. So my laptop did the whole installation again (took about 10 minutes, but this time I didn't get that "iTunes error message" during the installation process).
Now, when I go to the App Store "Updates" section, it says the following under "Updates Installed in the Last 30 days":

I'm wondering if this flashing bright yellow screen upon bootup is related to the fact that my laptop installed the OS X Update and the iTunes Update two times each? Or is this new problem totally unrelated? It's just that this problem started a day after these 2 updates were installed twice.
My Macbook Pro Retina 15" (Mid 2012 version) is otherwise working fine at least as of now. The only issue so far is this flashing bright yellow screen every time I turn on or restart my computer.
If anyone could please help me fix this so that my bootup screen doesn't flash completely bright yellow anymore, I would be forever grateful!

Hey everyone in Apple world!
I figured out how to fix the flashing yellow screen problem that I've been having on my MBP! Yessssss!!!
I found this super handy website with the golden answer: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1379
I followed the instructions on this page and here's what I did:
Resetting NVRAM / PRAM
Shut down your Mac.
Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command (⌘), Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4.
Turn on the computer.
Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys before the gray screen appears.
Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time.
Release the keys.
I went through the 6 steps above twice, just to make sure I got rid of whatever stuff was holding up my bootup process. Since I did that, my MBP boots up just like normal. No flashing yellow screen anymore!!
