IMovies 3.0.3, Can't 'text edit'. Only 'titles' available.

Can't do a different title for each photo? I'm trying to do a simple slideshow of still photos. I can enter a 'title', but it applies it to all the photos. For an individual photo in 'Title' mode, 'Update' button is gray.
Should I update iMovies? 'Software Updates' says I have no updates. iMac, Mac OS X, Version 10.4.11, Processor 1.33 Ghz, Memory 1 GB. Thanks!

iMovie 3 - is the most problematic version ever (most bugs) - So in Your case I would try to buy a second handed iLife 6 (Cheque spec. that it works with Your Mac first))
There are no - free up-dates to any version no. higher
Apple - do not sell anything but latest version - and it will not work on Your Mac
Titles - is tricky and You have to tell step-vice how You try to apply it to Your Photos - as this most probably is where things goes wrong.
Else - when any version of iMovie behaves strangely - Trashing the iMovie pref file - when iMovie is not running - forces iMovie to make a new error-free one on next start-up - and very often this helps.

Just as a preventative measure try running Disk Utility in the Utilities Folder inside the Applications Folder. Run Repair Disk Permissions on the whole hard drive.
According to this disuccsion group posting on MacRumours.com, Error -50 is a permissions error and repairing permissions may be enough to get you going again:

Adobe Pro X text editing only gives blanks

Hi,
When I edit text (fonts embedded and I also go to proerties to specifically select available fonts) I only get spaces where I type, no letters. It doesn't do it for all documents and it seems to be random (some places in a PDF converted from Powerpoint it will do it, on other slides it will just edit fine).
It does stay consistent: renaming files and reopening shows same issues at exactly the same places.
Any idea what may be going on?

If you get invisible fonts. That usually indicates you have more than one version of the same font. Fonts is the only thing where when a new Updated font is added the old font is not removed.
Go to FontBook Select all Fonts the right hand panel choose one font.
Next hold ⌘ down and type A (to select all)
From File menu Validate fonts.
If any have a Red warning remove that to Trash PDQ.
Next any with yellow warnings resolve font conflicts as asked.
Do so manually and choose alway keep the newest.
when finished The go to edit menu and choose resolve Font Conflicts. Remove any you find.
Now when you go to font you want to use in acrobat the proper font should show up.

Why can't I edit song titles and stuff?

Has anyone had the problem with iTunes where you go to edit the song title/artist/album cover and when the window for it comes up another window comes up that says iTunes has stopped responding? It's been doing this for like the past month can someone please explain on how to fix it?

Why can't I edit bookmark titles or move them to folders on the Apple Air?

I just bought an Apple Air after being a longtime PC user. My bookmarks got synched to the Apple by Xmarks, the Firefox app. Although I can use the bookmarks without problem, I can't move them, and this is particularly frustrating since I can't get them to where I want from the "newly bookmarked" tab. I also cannot edit the name of the bookmark when that option is available in the window that opens when I click on "bookmark this page" on Firefox. (I'm using Firefox 3.6).
Other than that the bookmarks work to get me to the desired site/page.Any help/suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

What broadband modem/router are you supplied with? Does it have built in wifi?
From your no 5, if there is no guest network then the TC is setup in bridge. This will remove the function of guest .. whatever Apple was smoking when they dreamed up this idea.. they need to stop it.
What I need is the IP address you are getting on the TC WAN if it is in router mode.. and the IP your iMac and air gets. I want router and dns values as well?
When the iPad or iPhone attempts to connect, what IP does it get.. plus router and dns.. it is the later two that are often the problem.
I would have a go at simply resetting the TC.. change the wireless name for 2.4ghz to short, no spaces pure alphanumeric.. and fix the wireless channel. Check what is available as Korea is not in my normal range.. 1, 6, 11 are pretty well universal though.. Try each of those channels.
Load istumbler onto the Air and see if you have thousands of wifi AP's around you.. find the lowest single channel out of the above.. do not worry too much about the inbetween ones.. they simply overlap.

How can I change/edit the title/name of my iTunes podcast?

I want to "add" more description to the "title" of my iTunes podcast.

This depends on what method you are using to create your podcast. Basically, you just go to wherever you entered the title in the first place and change it, then republish the feed.
However there is an importante consideration - some podcast creation methods produce a feed with a title taken from the podcast title. If changing the title changes the feed filename, this will change the URL and the Store will lose contact with the feed and stop updating: so this is something you need to be aware of. If your feed is called something like rss.xml there isn't a problem.\\You canof courses update the 'itunes:summary' tag (in the top section of the feed) which populates the 'Description' in the Store page.
It will take the Store a couple of days or so to show changes.

IPad 2 can't AirPlay video, only audio available

I have an iPad 2 on iOS 5.0.1 and an Apple TV 3rd gen.
I am trying to AirPlay but only the audio is audible and there is no display on the TV.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this?

Text edit app not working after Secupdate 007

Pismo running 10.3.9 showing issues with textedit application which worked fine prior to update.
When attempting to open an existing .txt file the beach ball spins for awhile and then does nothing. Finder window stays in front. When running through the dock, it shows textedit open, but textedit will not appear in menu bar.
I thought it might just be prior documents. After force quitting, I can open text edit app on its own with a new page showing. I can type in it, but when I attempt to save, the same issue shows. It just hangs.
Ran applejack and
I trashed textedit.plist thinking corrupted, but to no avail.
Any ideas on how to get this going?

If you have cleaned all the possible cache files with AppleJack (plus run the other functions), one possible fix for problems that develop after a Security Update or OSX version update is to download/install the Mac OS X 10.3.9 Combo Update on top of your installed 10.3.9.

If you don't have another User account, create one named 'Test' if you wish, then log into the 'Test' account. If TextEdit works normally, then you know your problem lies in your Home account. A quick and dirty test for solving some problems in your Home account is to go to your Home account <yourusername>/Library and drag the Preferences folder to the desktop, then log out/in to your Home account and see if the problem is resolved. If corrected, the problem lies in the Preferences folder on the desktop. Most prefs will be re-created as you use the computer, but save the old Preferences folder in the event there is one or more pref that you want to stick back in the new Prefs folder.

to your home wifi. May I ask are you able to connect to other wifi networks? If
so then please forget your home network again, turn wifi off, reboot, and
retest. If this doesn't work then you will want to reset network settings.
Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Keep in mind that
this will delete ALL wifi passwords that you have saved.

IMovie 10.0.6 Text Editing

Hi,
I have now updated to Yosemite and the latest version of iMovie.
When I try to edit titles it seems that they have taken out many of the options including drop-shadow etc. Can anyone else confirm this or point me in the right direction?

I'd just like to 'left justify' my rolling credits at the end of my movie and can't see how to do it. All the 'credits' are centered and strewn all over the place. It would seem to be a simple fix, but the tools aren't there.
Also, it's difficult to text edit in the movie itself. Easier than previous versions, but still not as easy as it could be.

How can I show only text edits and not text formatting when using print comments summary?

Acrobat 9.3.0 for Mac.
Here is the scenario: I used the Compare command to see the changes between 2 PDFs. The resulting file some edits are inserts and some are deletions. I want to print a comments summary only showing the text edits. In the Compare Option pane, I select Text and deselect Images, Annotations, Formatting, Headers/Footers, and Backgrounds. Now on the screen I see inserts are highlighted in blue and deletions are marked with sort of a caret and vertical bar symbol. So all looks good at this point. However, when I show the Comments List, I see addtional comments that indicate "Replace - The following text attributes were changed: fill color." Those comments do not appear in the page view unless I check the Formatting check box to show them. With Formatting unchecked, I print a comments summary and all of the "Replace - Fill Color" comments" appear on the resulting comments summary.
I only want to show text edits, not text formatting changes. So questions are:
1. Why, when the Formatting checkbox is unchecked, do the text formatting comments still appear in the comments list when they do not appear on the page display.
2. How can I print only the text content edits and not show the text formatting changes when using Print Comments Summary.

You can set ExecuteWithParams as default activity in the task flow then method activity to return total no of rows passing to Router activity if your method has value 0 then call Create insert operation else do directly to page.
Following idea could be your task flow
Execute With param (default) > SetCurrentRowWithKey > GetTotalNoOfRows (VOImpl Method)

When i try download a file from the internet it looks like its downloading then when i go to open this file it opens up in the app text edit and says it cannot open i DOS mode? Can anyne help?

It sounds like perhaps the file doesn't have an extension that the system recognizes. Is this all files, or just one specific one, and if so, which? What is the name (and extension, if it has one) of the downloaded file? What kind of file do you *expect* it to be? (PDF, or whatever). Renaming a file with the appropriate extension can often fix that kind of problem.
