Impact if FIGL10 DSO is not staged b4 FIGL10 Cube

Heallo SDNer's,
How wud it impact if I dont stage 0FIGL_O10 - DSO between 0FIGL_C10 ?
Structures wud be similar - no additional fields in Cube.
Even SAP defined DSO n Cube have similar fields.
Datasource is <b>delta capable</b> - 0FI_GL_10.
Some background - > After having enhanced FIGL10 DSO with some fields which do exist in the datasource I have to have 19Keys to determine the unique records or to pull all records from PSA w/o any records being overwritten.
However, datasource relevant OSS note sugggested to take d help of artificial keys ( for the same DSO...here 1 artificial key will concatinate 4 keys ) .
<b>Data volumes will be less - 200thousands a month.</b>
Wud SAP suggested method ( artificial keys ) be a better bet ?
Please share your thoughts.....any inputs wud really help

You can do this. In BW system.
1. Go to table RSOLTPSOURCE.
2. Enter 0FI_GL_10 as datasource.
3. Check the field delta process value, refer that value to table RODELTAM.
That will tell you what kind of data is coming from that extractor. Based on the delta data (After image, before image and after image, etc), you can decide whether you need DSO or not.

Amount of records loaded to dso is not same as in psa

i performed a loading from psa to dso. i have 2 datasource under this dso, the amount of records loaded from psa for this 2 datasources to dso is not consistent. the psa for the 1st datasource having 3k records and the 2nd datasource having 5k records, when i perform the loading for both of this datasource to dso, the records is less. do anyone here know why is this so?

DSO have overwrite option and hence you have lesser records.
chk if you have enough key fields in DSO, so that you can reduce the number of records getting overwritten.

Event 701 - The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled.

In a survey of several Windows 7 systems, in the Application-Experience Program-Telemetry log, I found daily instances of Information Event 701 "The Application Impact Telemetry (AIT) Agent is not running because AIT is disabled". The trigger
for this event is execution of the built-in scheduled task to run Aitagent.exe daily at 02:30.
The message "AIT is disabled" is puzzling to me.
I checked participation in the Customer Experience Improvement Program (CEIP) on the idea that a setting to disable participation could translate into "AIT is disabled", but CEIP is set to Yes (participate).
I checked Windows Error Reporting settings - they are set to "Automatically check for solutions and send additional report data, if needed"
I checked the REG_DWORD value AITEnable in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\AIT is set to 0x1, which should indicate that AIT is enabled.
I would appreciate if anyone can explain where/how AIT is disabled.

recommend that you collect your data from approximately 10,000
computers")!
Anyway, installing the ACT and sending an empty data set to Microsoft worked, but did not eliminate Event 701 when the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe executed
(as scheduled or manually) or when AitAgent.exe was run from an Administrator command prompt.
Since the scheduled task to run AitAgent.exe is part of a out-of-box installation of Windows 7, and its description states "Aggregates and uploads Application Telemetry
information if opted-in to the Microsoft Customer Experience Improvement Program", it would seem that it would run without error, at least when participation in the CEIP is enabled.

Loading full (DTP)to Dso and then Delta to info cube

Hi Experts,
I am loading data from Oracle and the data voulme is very huge.
The only option i could have in the infopackege (to PSA) is Full load.
I am loading a FULL DTP to DSO and the a Delta DTP to cube.
So for the next load i should delete the request in PSA and DSO and keep the request in the cube.
How could i delete the request in DSO without deleting the request in cube?
Is there any alternate solution to improve the load time?
Please advise.

u r loading the data to dso and after that from dso to cube, is it correct ???
if it is correct u have to do full load to cube also,
otherwise there is another option is please choose 'write optimized DSO' instead of Standard DSO
if still u r not cleared plz post clear information so that i can suggest u

How to populate values in DP key figure which is not present in Info Cube

We have a special Key figure in Demand Planning created for uplaoding Forecasts coming directly from customer,
This key figure is not present in Info Cube and data doesnot pupulate in this key figure through Info cube build,
Hence data in this key figure is to be loaded externally , Customer sends his forecasts through EDI messages, Now we want to update forecast from external customer in to this special key figure,
Please suggest some ways

I think you can get loaded this information in the cube in any other key figure which is available in the info cube. Then while loading the data into planning area using TSCUBE, you can define the key figure assignment.
In which you define data from which key figure of infocube has to be get loaded into which key figure of planning area. Here you can define the respective key figures.

Hi,
While looking at cube contents check to see if you have any filters in place that are restricting you to look at the data in the request.
Also if you know the data in the request, you can query the cube by putting in say date range, req number , etc. Also, assuming you are looking at cube contents through manage, also look at the cube data using tcode listcube.

Not getting data in cube from lookup DSO

I have a transformation with source DSO and the target Cube. In which I have a look-up from another DSO to the cube in this transformation, end routine. But I am not getting the records I needed in the cube, which are supposed to flow from another DSO. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Hi,
When we do look-ups in end routine, we don't have active rules for the transformation.
By default transformation's "Update behaviour of end routine change" is set to
Only target fields with active rules
all target rules(independent of active rules)
So, we have to change to
All target rules (independent of active rules) in order to get the look-up data independent of active rules.
In old software, we used to make an infoobject constant,.
"Update behavior of end routine change " was not available.
check it once because it happened to me before.

DSO Will Not Activate after Transport with rc=8

Hello,
I had a requirement to make two Purchasing DSOs (2LIS_02_ITM & 2LIS_02_SCL based) write-optimized. I made my changes in the development environment and transported them to QA. The transport went in with rc=8. All of my changes propogated; the DSOs are now write-optimized; however they are not active, nor are the corresponding transformations and DTPs.
I tried activating directly in QA and it would not work. I also tried re-importing my transport, as well as creating a new activation transport and sending it to QA. Nothing worked.
Can anyone help or give me some ideas as to how I can get this activated? Thank you!!!

Well...after reading your post it seems that only Basis team can help you.
You need to restore connection from RSA1. ( context menu of source system) ..But to restore connection you will be needing Destination's IP Address or hostname, backtround user id /password. More over your system needs to be open ( SCC4) and modifiable ( SE06). All this access normally remains with Basis team.
You can also go to SM59 -
> ABAP connection--->Pick up your source system connection--.Check the RFC.
I think your RFC connection is still pointing to the system where you did copy from. But that may not be the only problem. Even password may be wrong that you will know only after successful check of Destination test.
So, in a nutshell , constact Basis team,

Need to decide to keep data in DSO or not

Hi all,
Could someone please help me with the following scenario.
We have some data that is being loaded to DSO from there into 2 cubes. One cube will hold very detailed data (just like in DSO, which was created for faster reporting), Another Cube holds abstract level details.
we were thinking to delete data from DSO selectively as and when we upload the data to details cube, to eliminate redundancy and to save hardware resources.
So, could someone help me, what is the best practice for deleting the data from DSO. Or if you think it should not be done, then explain why its not.
any inputs will be greatly appreciated with points.

I presume that DSO is loading deltas to both the cubes. In this case Before deleting the DSO data, you have to make sure that the requests are not required for further delta extraction or for reconstruction purpose.
In future, whenever there is any change in the transformation from DSO to cube (s) - let us say - in ur present transformation, u r calculating ZAMT = ZNETAMT + ZGROSSAMT and in future u r chainging it as ZAMT = ZNETAMT + ZGROSSAMT + ZOTAMT
Once such changes r done, u ve to go for a full repair from DSO. Hence u ll need the data

Is report prefered in WO-DSO or not

What is Symantic Key? how it is use? is it prefarable for reporting "Write Optimized DSO"? pls tell any one

Hi,
Semantic key is used to avoid duplicate records. Duplicate records will be listed in error DTPs.
WO-DSO is used only for data stage. you shoudl not use it for reporting. Use the std. DSO for reporting for efficiency.
Note: index is not maintained in WO-DSO.

My DSO does not activate.how do i see contents os data package?

My Dso has data in new data table but it status turns RED when I am trying to activate. I used standard data source 0fi_gl_4 and standard DSO 0FIGL_O02 . pretty straight forward. no added fields or objects. I have deleted 2 requests from previous loads and executed DTP . i did full update.then new data table has new data now but i could not activate.
pls help what should i check for
REQUEST STATUS is 'Error occured during activation process'
REQUEST FOR REPORT AVAILABLE - 'request available for reporting'
In the LOG i can see RED on Data package 000039 when I click on it
the error is

long text looked like it is INVALID CHARACTER
how do i see the contents in a particular data package (000039) ???

Hi,
This can happen if the size of teh data package from R/3 to PSA is larger than the size of the data package from PSA to DSO. Assume till PSA the data package size is 50000 and you are receiving 9 data packages the total number of records equals to 50000 X 9. Now from PSA to DSO suppose the data package size is 10000 then number of data packages will increase from 9 to 45 that is 9 X 50000/10000.
If you are having problem in data package 39 (in the above mentioned scenario) then you should move to data package 39 X 10000 /50000 that is data package 7 of the PSA and rectify the corresponding record in the PSA and load it to the DSO.
Similarly you will have to calculate the data package number of the PSA in your scenario.

I have received this error when trying to activate a DSO or InfoCube, when that InfoProvider includes a navigational attribute that has been removed from its parent InfoObject. I'm trying to figure out ways to correct the error, but so far the only way I can find is to add the attribute back into the parent InfoObject, then remove the attribute from the InfoProvider and activate the InfoProvider. You can then remove the attribute from the parent InfoObject again if desired.

Impact of GL's when not assigned to FSV. Where they will be adjusted?

When we take a trial balance through F.01 using a financial statement version which contains some gl accounts which are not assigned to that FSV but contain some balance, the trial balance which is derived is showing a tallied balance sheet. Upon further investigation we found that the same is adjusted under the head "Reverses and surplus - Balance in profit and loss account"
Is it SAP standard. If yes any note is available on this?

"The balance sheet net result and the P&L statement result are calculated by the program that creates the financial statements. This program also lists, under the item Not assigned, those accounts that could not be assigned to an item in the financial statement version.
The financial statement profit or loss is determined from only those accounts assigned to assets or liabilities. The accounts for the items Financial Statement Notes or Not Assigned are not considered either in the calculation of the retained earnings/net loss or for the P&L result. The balance of all the other accounts produces the P&L statement result."

Not able to delete Cube & DSO data

I am trying to delete data request from upper & lower Data providers(cube & DSO respectivly).
Frst I tried to delete cube data using context menu option DeleteData.It generates dump "Time Exceeded". So I manually selected the request in cube manage & deleted.
Later when i try deleting DSO(that updates abv cube) data with context menu option gv similar dump so i manually tried deleting topmost req & it fails with following log.

Try deleting the Data Requests from Tables.

Change Log: search in table RSTSODS with the string "8<ODS_NAME>" in field ODSNAME, the name of Change Log is in field ODSNAME_TECH.
