Impact on ERP integration with C4C using PI

Hi All,
We are about to install the add-on for C4C integration with ERP in ECC system. But before doing wanted to validate/confirm few things -
1. The add-on seems to support all new versions of ECC, does this include ECC on HANA ?
2. Is it necessary to backup the environment before installing the add-on ?
3. The component seems to be isolated from impacting any ECC functionality and its just for the purpose of integrating C4C with ECC. Would this mean that no regression testing is required in ECC ?
4. The component doesn't seems to have an uninstall option which would meant that any reverts could only be done through system backup only. Is this accurate ?

1. The add-on seems to support all new versions of ECC, does this include ECC on HANA ? --> The add-on supports all release of ECC above the base release mentioned in the Integration guide, including ECC on HANA
2. Is it necessary to backup the environment before installing the add-on ? --> The Add-On does not contain any DB tables. It should not interfere with the ECC environment, so you can install these without any disruption or downtime. As part of general hygiene, you may want to make sure that there is a recent enough backup for the ECC system.
3. The component seems to be isolated from impacting any ECC functionality and its just for the purpose of integrating C4C with ECC. Would this mean that no regression testing is required in ECC ?
No regression testing is required for ECC standard functionality. It will not affect existing distribution models. You will have to set up new ones for Cloud for Customer Integration scenarios.
4. The component doesn't seems to have an uninstall option which would meant that any reverts could only be done through system backup only. Is this accurate ? --> There is no uninstall option.

    I would suggest to check first that in both your SAP ERP and SAP Sourcing an ISO Code P1 for percentage exists. Further I would check if a rebate with an absolute amount works fine (also create multiple amounts and check if a scale is created in ERP, just to ensure that it works in general). E.g. check if the price condition/condition type exists and is configured correctly in ERP.
    If that all looks good you might want to check the ERP transaction BBP_ES_ANALYZE. I recently created a SDN blog about some tips and tricks, it also explains this transaction, please see ERP integration with SAP Sourcing – tips and tricks Maybe the error message(s) in this transaction will help you to better understand what is going on.

    In UCM we have pdf documents i need to Download that document and show it in ADF UI using Java Embedded Activity.
    Ie., Using Java Code I need to Download and Decode the PDF file using Java Embedded Activity after Connection with UCM. Save as a file in Local Machine then I need to Encode ads PDF and Show it to ADF UI.
    Please experts its Quite Urgent!!

  • Integration with Peoplesoft using OA adapter

    I am not experiened on integrating/consuming Peoplesoft functionality from external system/application/BPEL/OSB.
    What i understood after reading few messages that Peoplesoft Intergration Broker can be used to expose Peoplesoft component interface as services which can be consumed/invoked by any system/application/BPEL/OSB.
    But i have requirement from our client that he wants to replace Peoplesoft Intergration Broker with oracle fusion middleware stack. In that context, i think only solution would be using Oracle Application adapter for Peoplesoft to expose Peoplesoft component interface as service, and which can be later consume in OSB/BPEL.
    Please suggest.

  • BMC Remedy Integration with AD using a Web Service

    We are running BMC Remedy for ticketing. The goal is to automatically add a computer to a security group once the ticket is approved. So, user raises a ticket with his computer details. The workflow for approval in BMC is already set, once approved the computer
    name entered by the user will get added to a Security Group in AD.
    We already have built a web service for BMC Remedy for a completely different purpose. My plan is to utilize the same web service in SCORCH. So, SCORCH will check BMC using the WebService and check the state of the new Service Request - Once  the state
    is approved it will add the computer to that group - Runbooks Basically.
    Will the above approach work?

  • I/PM ERP Integration with Oracle Application Server instead of Websphere

    I'm just starting an integration between IPM 7.7.1 and JDE EnterpriseOne v8.12.
    In the EIS documentation for 7.7.1 has some specific assumptions regarding integrations with JDE EnterpriseOne (8.12), specifically using IBM Websphere. We opted to go with the Oracle Portal and Oracle Application Server. Just curious if the integration approach/instructions would require some adjustments because of the non-Websphere selection my JDE team chose. Or if it just plan won't work.

    Hi Jim,
    The reason that the documentation specifically spells out IBM Websphere is most likely because it was the application server that we developed and tested with at the time. The important requirement for this type of integration is that this server be an Intel based server running a Microsoft OS. The reason for this is because there are dlls with the Oracle IPM product that enable communication between the IPM functions and the JDE Business functions. If the Enterprise server for JDE is intel based then a JAS can exist on the same server, the dlls can be on that machine and the extra server is not required. This server is only required if the Enterprise server is not intel based. As far as your choice to use Oracle Application Server goes, I really have no basis to say if this works or not. My thought is that it shouldn't matter as long as the JAS server is an intel based, 32 bit server running a Microsoft OS. There are many other variables and lots of experience implementing this type of integration with JDE within the Oracle IPM consulting team. Give us a call if we can help.

  • Problem Creating Partner Link for Adapter Integrating with Tuxedo using JCA

    This is the first time that I am working on integration tools. I will explain in brief the problem.
    There will be a legacy system (Tuxedo) running which connect to legacy database for requests. I am able to connect to that legacy system using Attunity Studio for getting the response back. Which is working fine.
    Now I want that to integrate with BPEL PM 10.1.2 using JCA. For this I followed this URL (http://www.oracle.com/technology/tech/java/oc4j/904/how_to/oc4j-jca-tux/onjava-jca.html). What happens here is, a simple servlet invokes a Session Bean that interacts the Attunity Server using the JCA. For that I am using oc4j container of BPEL PM 10.1.2. I could able to work it fine.
    For working with BPEL, I have created synchronous process, when try to create Partner link using Adapter service from WSIL browser, it is not coming in.
    Am I missed any important configuration at BPEL PM end.
    For doing this a followed the "tutorial 2" @ http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/integration/adapters/dev_support.html
    In exact way, above provided tutorial 2 PDF, I failed at step "Configuring a BPEL Service to invoke the above Adapter Service" on page 11.

    Something to note. I tried adding the same BPEL services as partner links to a new application and new project on two other developer's workstations, and the creation of the partner links were successful.

    I am integrating TM and ERP with SAP PI 7.4 dual stack. I have downloaded the SAP TM XI Content version SAPTM 1.10. I have created the Configuration Scenario in Integration Builder and I have generated Sender / Receiver Agreement, Receiver & Interface Determination. But when activating the Receiver Determination I am getting error that some particular Service Interface is missing.
    Kindly guide me and give your suggestion.

    We have the same problem trying to integrate OSB with and asmx service that uses NTLM.
    We have created the artifacts of asmx service using wsimport and we created a little java project using these artifacts. We also added a class with a static method in this project in order to be used by OSB java callout mechanism. When this project if used standalone (through eclipse) works fine and as the environment is windows server, it sends automatically to the client the credentials of user that is logged on windows domain. On the other hand when we deploy this java project in OSB as jar for callout we receive : Response: '401: Unauthorized' exactly at the point that the produced artifact class invokes the constructor of javax.xml.ws.Service in order to create an instance of the service.
    Any ideas of how to solve this or any alternative working solution ?

    How do I configure a scenario (e.g. Remote Disconnect) in PI, I will be very happy for step by step instructions
    How do I configure that If I Disconnect the Device in ISU, a service call is generated in ISU which will flow from ECC -> PI Server -> MDUS and how do we test it?
    How do I check if the call has reached PI Server? I mean there must be some logging like ABC Application requested for XYZ Service.
    Your help is much appreciated. It is much like connecting the pieces yet unknown to me. Feel free to share if there is any guide or handbook available for a sample AMI Integration Scenario.

    Hi Adil,
    Firstly download the Enterprise Services for SAP PI  from the service market place, released for the Ehp eg Ehp6 of your back end  ISU system.

    Download all the (ES)content related to utilities  XI CONTENT-IS-UT  and load this in your PI system. Once you have these ESR in PI, you will be able to connect your SAP ISU system with the help of a proxy.

  • Integration with Successfactors using standard PI content

    Hi,
    I have a scenario wherein we are required to integrate the some of the SuccessFactors modules with the SAP HCM using PI as the middleware. We imported the standard content provided by SAP (SFIHCM01 and SFIHCM02).
    We are targeting the compensation scenario as of now and and configured the the ID part accordingly. In order to test this scenario we executed the proxy for the first step i.e.: login request (SFSFSessionHandlingLoginQueryResult_Out). This would give us the session ID which will then be used in executing the queries on Successfactos system, instead we are getting blank response with Expiration time. We are using PI 7.31 single stack.
    We have configured the scenario as below:
    Sender Proxy
    Receiver SFSF Communication Channel has been created as per template provided.
    On executing the proxy with correct login details (companyID, user and password) we get the below response. We should be getting 2 cookies instead we are not getting it
    Since this is not a valid session ID we are not able to proceed with it further. Please help us.

    Which URL are you using in your Communication Channels? Make sure you use the appropriate URL as listed in note 1953125.
    Also, make sure proper credentials are stored in the IMG.
