IMPACT ON MAC APP STORE PURCHASES BY CHANGING COUNTRY

I bought Mac App Store apps in the Netherlands, however I moved to Spain, made my Apple ID to be associated to the Spanish App Store and the apps do not appear there as purchased. The apps are still on my SSD. So if not solved I cannot get updates ...or get them on another Mac without repurchasing. Some of them are expensive.

I confirm, the Mac App Store-apple ID and iOS account-apple ID are the same, now both in Spain. As the Mac App Store apps seem to be on Apple's servers, it should be possible to install them again even if I bought them in a different store (in NL). Maybe in the future with iCloud functionality ? It would be especially important if I would buy a new Mac. But then a copy of the app from my present Mac to the new Mac could do the job I guess.

About Apple ID and Mac App Store Purchases...

I was wondering if someone could give me some assistance for this question. Ok here's the situation, I want to use iCloud in my Mac however, I can't use it because it requires my Apple ID to be in an e-mail format (i.e. "[email protected]"), and my ID is in user name format (i.e. "deltaforce"). I know that you can change your ID into email format by logging into appleid.apple.com. the problem that I have is that I have made multiple Mac App Stores purchases and I don't want to lose them if I update the ID. I was wondering if the Mac App Store will still recognize me as the owner of my apps under the new ID.

I have now spent many hours on this APPLE ID issue and still no luck from apple. I paid for an Apple ID for 10 Years with my .mac account which did not have the email address format. So now I bought an IPAD and had to convert to the email address format - OK no problem except all the APPS and Music purchased under my original ID ar NO LONGER linked to my @mac.com address. Where did they go? I have 3 other macs trying to sync and now nothing works! Type " apple ID issues" into Google ( Google - not the apple support search window) and the first thing that comes up is many people with the same issue - click on the "Apple ID verification problem" and you will see over 6000 people have used this trail to figure out what happened to their Apple ID. Come on APPLE - Read you own posts and help us. I did not change my account you did. I am a loyal 30 year apple fan and this is the most PC thing you have ever done. The apple Experts at the store are telling me I have to pay for tech support help to fix your server issues - - Come on!!! That would not work anyway - - Just read all the people who have tried at this link and you will see that many people have this issue and the tech support does not know how to fix it.

Mac App Store Purchase Section All Changed From Open to Install

Recent update to 10.10.3 Yosemite The MacApp Store purchased section changed from "OPEN" to "INSTALL" as shown in my screenshot below Any suggestions??

Thanks DahVeed, No Go on the Reindex so I did a Safe Boot Mode to empty caches and any related file hang ups . Then I signed in and out of MacApp Store and all is OK again THANKS...p.s. John at Apple Support via screen share walked me through the process

Is there a way to permanetly delete an app from Mac App Store Purchases, (not just hide it)?

The latest Apple update allows you to hide purchases in iTunes and Mac App Store. But to no avail am I able to find a way to permanetly delete Mac App Store Apps from the my account purchases.

hiding a purchase doesnt do the job because it makes it harder to orgenzie your apps when u want to download all apps to your computer you get the hidden ones too
and you ask your self why why whhhhhhhhhhhhhhhyyyyyyyyyyyy
and again u fined your self spending too much time delleting unwanted apps because you dont want your itunes to b a mass

You can't get trials from the Mac App Store and Apple doesn't accept refunds after purchasing an app. That's why I recommend you to read reviews of that application and check if it works for your uses

Mac App Store purchase stuck on 'Installing'

So I bought Napoleon: Total War earlier this evening. After a surprisingly long download time, the game began installing. The progress bar told me this would take 27 minutes. More than 2 hours later and it's still stuck on this 'installing in 27 minutes' business. I have googled the issue and found similar posts to mine, however most of them have been resolved by emptying the Mac App Store Cache or deleting the HDD/Library/Update files, or simply rebooting the Mac. However, none of these have worked and time is still ticking on. If anyone can give me a hand as to how I can resolve this then it will be hugely appreciated. Ideally, I'd love my £21 back however I know how extremely unlikely that is.

I bought something on the app store today and realized the email that Apple has for me is not valid anymore (hotmail from years ago that I don't use). Any way to get my receipt for the app store purchase for a reimbursement without relying on email?

Yes, app store is available - but not with systems updates on MacOS 10.7.4
I tried on a MacBook with 10.7.2 and it was able to connect. After now updating, the connection to app store is impossible,
And it's only one installation - the installation of MacOS 10.7.4 Combo Update and it killed
For some, it seems to help to reset manually the certificate settings... for others, it seems to work with the ocspd preferences... next seems to solve it by doing both in combination and for others nothing helps.
So I think, we need a fix - because I think, it's a problem in the latest OS update.

I put an Itunes gift card into my account so I could have enough to buy an app on the mac app store but when i go to buy the app, it says that I don't have valid payment info and keeps sending me to billing info. What do I do?

Ok..
Try deleting the cache associated with the App Store.
Quit the App Store.
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar top of your screen click Go > Go to Folder
Type this exactly as you see it here:
~/Library/Caches/com.apple.appstore/Cache.db
Click Go
Move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.appstore folder to the Trash.
Relaunch the App Store. See if that made a difference.

Getting OTA updates and App store purchases from another country

I'm thinking of buying a Palm Pre in Germany (where I live at the moment), but I'm moving to Israel in a couple of months. My cellphone carrier in Israel will probably be Cellcom. Will it be possible for me to receive these OTA updates? And will I be able to purchase Apps while I'm there?

Same question. I moved from the Macau store to the French store. All my apps and music don't appear in 'purchased' in the iTunes Store and the Mac App Store. I guess it's alright for the apps because I can see what I have in my library, but it's a bit more annoying for the Mac App Store. I was planning to buy an iMac and of course connect to the Stores using my apple id, then download all the apps on the new computer but it seems it's not gonna make it.

Mac App Store purchase on iPad or iPhone

So I bought Wikibot using the App Store on my powerbook. It's a relatively cheap app, $3, but I was still surprised to see that I had to pay for it again on my iPad and iPhone. I understand that software for a full-size Mac has to be rewritten to work on an iPad or iPhone, but from the end user's perspective.. it's the same?
Seems to me that the right thing to do would be to credit the purchase across all Mac devices.

A Mac (OS X) and an iPad (iOS) use different operating systems and they are not compatible - so the titles of the software might be the same but they are two completely different programs.

You have been mislead. Other users report that what you have been told by the Hack is not true. The apps will appear to have disappeared, but if you try to update an app at first the MAS will appear to be selling you the app, but if you continue, as if to buy the app, the MAS will realize that you previously purchased the app and download it for free. You can test this for yourself using a free or inexpensive app.

Unhide a hidden Mac App Store purchase

Recently I hide a purcahse thinking it would un-install it. After I discovered it didn't uninstall the program I removed it and re-installed it. My problem now is that it doesn't show up in purchases page. Is there any way to unhide a hidden purchase?

Trying to Unhide a purchase from Purchase History. Clicking the Unhide button does not fire off any activity. Any ideas?

Here's the fix:
Could not unhide the previously purchased download - in this case the Lion Upgrade.
Downloaded the latest version of iTunes and everything freed up. Downloading now.

I have not purchased iWork from the Mac App Store before, but I've seen it and used it on iPhone and I prefer its simplicity to Microsoft Office. Plus, I give presentations frequently enough and I like Keynote a lot more for all its usability and effects.
I'm thinking of getting another Mac soon, and I'm glad to hear that the new Macs running Mavericks come with iWork. However, I'm wondering if I will have iWork as under my Purchases in the Mac App Store by default after buying the new Mac, since they come together. That way, I'll be able to install it on my other Mac, since the Mac App Store allows you to install your purchases on all the devices you own.
Does anyone know whether I'll be able to do this? Will iWork be put under my Mac App Store purchases since I will own it as a result of buying the new Mac?

Yes, once you have the iWork apps installed on the new Mac, the apps will be available to download and install from the Purchases pane on your other Macs.
