Impacts for switching from Extended Classic to Classic in production

Hi,
Has anyone involved project that customer has switched from Extended Classic to Classic in production system?
SRM 4.0 is live in Extended Classic now.
Customer is going to upgrade and switch their production system to SRM 7.0 Classic.
Main process is
  PS -> MM PR -> SRM Sourcing -> SRM PO (Extended) -> SUS PO -> SUS PO Response
  GR, Service Entry and Invoice are handled in ERP
I see an issue if we switch SRM-SUS to MM-SUS, SUS PO is created before switch and PO Response is created after switch.
Do you have any lessens and learned topics for switching Extended Classic to Classic? Which documents have to be take care?

  • Why is my CWButton LED switch from 3D Stye to Classic (saving or running?)

    I was adding a LED to my Visual Basic form, and I switch the CWButton to a 3D Style LED. When I run the program the form shows it as a classic style. I convert it back to 3D.. then just save the form, it converts it back to classic style. I want to keep it in the 3D form.
    Note: I have component works, LabView 6, CVI, etc (from Measurement Studios) installed.

    What version of Measurement Studio do you have installed? The 3D Styles are a feature of Measurement Studio 6.0, and you must have a licensed 6.0 or higher version of the Measurement Studio User Interface control installed in order to save the styles.
    You can check the licensed version of the User Interface control on your machine by using the
    Measurement Studio license fixer. You can also use this utility to fix a broken license.

    Is there any kind of penalty charge  for switching from a family plan to an individual plan when it is the secondary line that is being removed and the secondary lines' contract is complete?

Hello skiibojosh, adding to what was stated, Are you just wishing to change your calling plan so each line remains with Verizon Wireless under their own individual plan You can always change your calling plan online without a penalty as it is not related to a customer agreement. I hope your line that completed the contract does remain with us. We desire to provide your line with best calling plan available. However, depending upon your specific circumstances, if you desire to have both of lines on an individual plan, you could process a calling plan change online at My Verizon.     Currently I am using Mac OS X v10.5 on a MBP and want to upgrade to Snow Leopard. I use PGP full disk encryption.
    I do not want to wait anymore for PGP v10 before I can upgrade to Snow Leopard. In my search for a replacement for PGP I found SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption for Mac from WinMagic.

    I have two questions:
    1) Does anyone have experience with SecureDoc Full-Disk Encryption for Mac from WinMagic?
    2) Where can I buy one? PGP has a store where I ordered my copy of the software. But I can't find a store anywhere for SecureDoc. With some trouble I found a reseller in the Netherlands, but they don't reply to any questions.

    The company where I work is a Checkpoint reseller, and normally only has dealings with other companies, not end users. But we arranged a trial license and I can buy a single user license Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption if the test proves Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption is a good solution.
    I created a bootable usb disk with Snow Lepoard on it. But I was unable to install FDE on it. After reboot I only get a blank screen, that's it. Probably it isn't supported to boot from a full disk encrypted removable drive, I can understand that.
    I can't create a virtual Snow Leopard machine (legal reasons) to test it on. And all FDE solutions I found aren't compatible with Mac Server, which is a shame because you can virtualize Mac Server legally.
    So now I am planning to change the hard-disk of my MBP this evening with another hard-disk to test Checkpoint FDE there. I don't want to upgrade my current Leopard installation to Snow Leopard only to discover it doesn't work as expected. I could of-course use my current installation and when it doesn't work rollback to a timemachine backup, but before that I have to decrypt my disk and uninstall PGP witch will take 1-2 days, and encrypt again when the test is over. Not pratical.
    I will let you know how the test with Checkpoint Full Disk Encryption went!

  • Switch from classic to Extended Classic Scenario- Impact

    Hello,
    We are proposing to switch from Classic to Extended Classic Scenario.
    We are on SRM_SERVER 550,Sp7 and SAP 4.7 backend.
    We want to know if this is technically feasible to switch and have less/no impact on existing transactional data and master data.
    Main concerns are: Existing open Shopping carts and PO's.
    We are also modifying the WF by including buyer completion WF.
    Will the carts created in classic scenario and 'awaiting approval' work similarly in ECS?
    Can we copy old carts (created in classic scenario) into new ones in ECS?
    Are there any other issues like the ones above which people have come across?
    Is there any standard SAP material/Consulting note available
    which gives some guidelines for switching scenarios?

    Hello,
    You can switch from the classic to the extended classic scenario by making the global settings in the IMG.
    But it would be better if you can decide if only a particular set of categories need ECS.
    If you wish to have both the scenarios,the deciding factor is the product category.
    You can also activate a  BADI for the control of ECS despite the above Global settings.

    1. in SPRO - SRM Server - Cross application basic settings - Activate extended classic scenario
              -- deactivate the check box.
    2 . Cross application settings -- Define objects in backend system ( reservation, PR, PO )
           Need to maintain this settings.. like for the sc which document should create in backend like PR/RES/PO.
    3.In classic scenario no need to maintain IPC settings.. which require in Extended classic
    4. Important thing is you should take care of number ranges..

    We are thinking of switching from classic scenario to extended classic as part of an upgrade from EBP 3.5 to SRM 5.0. Can anyone confirm whether it is possible, or whether we would have to re-implement SRM?
    Any idea of how difficult it would be.

    Hi,
    Yes you can do it.
    First you have to do the upgrade from 3.5 to 5.0
    Then once your upgraded system is correctly working , you can change the configuration and switch from classic to ECS scenario.

    I have an iPod classic and am switching from Windows to Mac - what's the best way to retain my iPod library? Thanks!

    If you just want to connect and use the iPod on the Mac then set it to manual update on your PC first. The content of iTunes and the iPod are not syncronised in this mode so the two can be different. You can directly access the content of the iPod and play it through iTunes and you can drag and drop whatever you want to the iPod from either library:
    Using iPod with Multiple computers

    Syncing Music to iPod
    Something else to be aware of when using an iPod in manual mode is that the "Do Not Disconnect" message will remain on the display until you physically eject the device: Safely Disconnect IPod
    Macs can read Windows drives, the iPod shuffle for instance comes Windows formatted and is fully supported (you can update the firmware or restore it on the Mac and it retains it's Windows formatting). Other iPods (such as a 5th Generation or Classic for example) can be used in Windows format on a Mac but have to have the firmware updated or be restored on a PC to maintain the formatting. If however you don't intend using the iPod on a PC again you'll need to transfer your library from your PC so you can restore and reformat the iPod and keep it's firmware updated.
    Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your new iTunes directly from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7.     The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. I use Senuti but have a look at the web pages and documentation for the others too, you'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well.   • Partner functions OA and IP missing for Vendor in Extended classic PO

    As part of current Classic scenario, we have maintained OA (Ordering Address) and PI (Invoicing Party) for a vendor in R/3. We have also maintained different ordering addresses for multiple plants in the Vendor master: Partner functions screen --> Alternative data.
    I would like to acheive the same functionality in Extended Classic scenario. We have replicated the vendors from R/3 to SRM. After activating Extended Classic scenario, we see only VN as the partner function in R/3 PO.
    Q1. How can we enable OA and PI partner functions in R/3 PO (Extended Classic) ?
    Q2. How can we enable different ordering addresses for multiple plants in R/3 PO (Extended Classic) ?

  • Why does my font/text change when I switch from Classic 3D to Ray traced 3D in After Effects?

    My font/text changes when I switch from Classic 3D to Ray traced 3D. Why is it doing this? Also, I cant get the font/txt to look the same after I switch from Classic to Ray traced. How can I get it to look the same?

    I am pretty new to After Effects so I hope it's not my inexperience that's causing the problem. (It probably is)
    I just updated to the most current version of AE.
    I am on a mac pro late 2013 12GB 6 core. Running OSX 10.9.4
    Okay so after looking at it a little closer, I think the color is what mostly changes. The first screenshot is the what the text look like with Classic 3D and the second screenshot is what it looks like after I change it to Ray traced 3D. Also under the "Mode" section..the pull down that says "Normal" disappears. I'm wondering why the font color is changing?

    There can be many reasons. From business prospective, if the client wants to creates a reservation out of shopping cart in self service procurement scenario for the items that are already available in the stock, it is supported by classic scenario only and can be a good reason for switching to classic from extended classic scenario.
    Secondly, for a particular set of suppliers, you have well defined EDI interface and you want to continue to use them. Then, you can think of using classic scenario to use existing communicaltion channels.

  • Import phonebook from E50 to 3120 Classic

    Dear fellows, I've just exchanged from E50 to 3120 Classic phone. Before returning E50 I backed up my phonebook in my 1Gb memory card, and each contact appeared as a vcf file. Then, I put the memory card into my 3120, and the files are there, but 3120 does not recognize the vcf files as phonebook entries.
    How do I solve this? What is the file type that 3120 works with and how can I convert vcf files into this?
    I really appreciate your help, since I have 200+ contacts which I do not intend to type one by one into my new phone.

    well the fundamental issue is that you have moved from a business oriented device to a very basic phone, e50 is a s60 phone 3120 is a s40 phone they work on different platforms therefore compatability is an issue here. did you try to copy your contacts to the sim card while using the e50 and then just swap the sim card to your new phone? a new sim card - under 2 years old or so should have capacity for up to 250 contacts. ifyou say that you have only about 200 you should be able to do so without any issues.
