Implementing Loans with SAP B1

hi,
Client borrow Loans from banks and they have installments and interest rates charged by banks.how to calculate interest rate and no. of installments in SAP b1
Thanks,
Neetu

Hi
Installments and percentages are available in Admin setup BP payment terms setup.
Create a payment term for the bank loan structure and maybe the bank as BP and assigning the payment term in BP master. Using these features enable a query or in payment to get the output. Hope i have given a rough idea atleast.

  • Implementing Loans with SBO

    Hello All,
Many of my customers ask me if they can records Loans they borrow from banks in SBO. Further they would like to keep a tab of installments and interest rates charged by banks and alert them periodically of due payments.
What is the best way to achieve this ?

There are a few ways to handle this.
You can create a Journal Entry
    Bank A/c Dr  xxx.xx
    Loan A/C  Cr ......................xxx.xx
    OR
The Bank which issues the Loan can be treated as a Vendor and money can be received in through an Incoming Payment and an entry can be shown in the Liability drawer as Loans
It all depends on how you want to look at the transaction

  • Implication of not implementing CATS with SAP workManager...

Experts.. If CATS is not implemented in HR - does entering time in Operations or Timesheets tab on the WorkManager have a implication on setting up workmanager. Is there a way to disable the timesheets feature totally from the App?

    Sriram,
Depending on your WM version, this is either an application global in the editor product definitions themselves, or an application global in the config panel for Work Manager.  That is where you turn on/off CATS support for the product.  If this is turned off, the time entry routines post using different BAPIs.  I am not sure if this is required or not.

  • Biztalk with SAP XI Vs SAP Webservice

    HI everyone,
We have biztalk as integration tool. I would like to know is it feasible to implement Biztalk with SAP XI to communicate with our SAP ECC server. I heard it will be over weight to use both Biztalk and SAP XI coz each will have its own message box and leads to more process time. So we are planning to use Biztalk with SAP webservices. So please let me know which is better as cost wise and work wise biztalk with SAP XI or Biztalk with SAP Web services.
SAP Guys please take some time to provide some useful information. it will be much appreciated.
    cheers
    ram

    Hi Ram,
how are you doing today ?
From a business perspective, if u're using 2 rival products to do the same integration function, it is a defeat in architecture and in resurces consumed to do the requirement [tha two end systems]
lisence issues of how much is paid to the vendor will also then be higher than if u used either one and not both
    technically speaking,
it is making the system overly complex without any real benefit or requirement
maintenance will increase and it will make troubleshooting more omplex when it does not need to be
i'd recommend the use of either based on the resources available
SAP web services are available since web AS 620, and just need to be enabled for the Function Module, RFC , BAPI
    check out transactions WSCONFIG, WSADMIN
using them will make things simpler all around
but again it depeneds on the type of application, it's demands on Quality of Service and the nature of the Data as well
    with respect,

  • Available now: New Business Transformation Study for Aurubis on the 7 month implementation and success with SAP Commodity Risk Management

We just published a Business Transformation Study with Aurubis AG, the world’s leading integrated copper producer, on how SAP Commodity Risk Management solution helps them to hedge commodity price risks with the highest accuracy and integration and to meet stringent compliance regulations like EMIR with lowest risk, effort, and cost.
With SAP Commodity Risk Management, all business processes related to commodity derivatives including the settlement, accounting and payment processes are now integrated and generated within the existing SAP ERP system. Please read the BTS here .

    Thanks Samuli.
You're right, it seems BAdI HRESS_NWBC_MENU_EXT will work. I think I didn't make myself very clear as I didn't say that launchpad menu will no longer be used with NWBC since we will use the left side navigation, much user friendly and quicker to access to.
Reading SAP documentation it seems this BAdI (available from EHP7+) will solve my issue.
    Thanks for the hint.
Do you see any blocking point from moving SAP Portal to SAP NWBC for HTML even with 12000+ users?
    Thanks again.

  • SSO with SAP logon tickets to non-SAP web app

I am trying to implement SSO to an oracle portal based web application using SAP logon tickets, but can't seem to find a way for it to work.  I thought maybe it would be a web server filter, but am unsure if this would work for oracle portal.  Anyone tried similar?

  • Performance issues with SAP BPC 7.0/7.5 (SP06, 07, 08) NW

    Hi Experts
There are some performance issues with SAP BPC 7.5/7.0 NW, users are saying they are not getting data or there are some issues while getting data from R/3 system or ECC 6.0. Then what things do I need to consider to check, such as what DataSources or Cubes I need to check? So, how to solve this issue?
What things I need to consider for SAP NW BI 7.0 u2013 SAP BPC 7.5 NW (SP06, 07, 08) Implementation?
    Your help is greatly appreciated.
    Regards,
    Qadeer

    Hi,
New  SP was released in February, and now most of the new bugs should been caught ,This has a Central Note. For SP06 it's Note 1527325 - Planning and Consolidation 7.5 SP06 NetWeaver Central Note to fix any issues. Most of the improvements in SP06 were related to performance, especially when logging on from the BPC clients. There you should be able to find a big list of fixes/improvements and Notes that describe those. Some of the Notes even have test description how to reproduce that issue in the old version.
    hope this will help you

  • Will MIM (Merchandize and inventory management) work with SAP AFS / SAP POS

We are implementing SAP AFS ERP at the head office and SAP POS at the retail stores.
We want to implement the MIM module for inventory management at retail store level. Does MIM work in conjunction with SAP AFS. A consultant was suggesting that MIM works only with SAP Retail and no other vertical SAP solution.
    Can someone please clarify?
    Regards
    paddy

MIM is linked to IS Retail, not to AFS.
Nevertheless, you can always link and AFS and a Retail system.  SAP provides a very convincing ALE scheme for this.

  • How to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO

    Hi,
We are attempting to run a web application on SAP NetWeaver CE 7.1 SP1 which uses Tuscany SDO.  As it now stands We must use Tuscany because the web application will not run with the SAP SDO implementation provided by Netweaver. To ensure that Tuscany is loaded with priority, we have packaged the Tuscany JAR files and their dependencies as a heavy resource, as described here:
    http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/go/portal/prtroot/docs/library/uuid/60642a88-95fe-2b10-d387-a245d48fc257?overridelayout=true
The final check showed that Tuscany was correctly deployed as a heavy resource and included the following JAR files:
    common-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-change-2.2.3.jar
    ecore-xmi-2.2.3.jar
    tuscany-sdo-impl-1.1.1.jar
    tuscany-sdo-lib-1.1.1.jar
    tuscany-sdo-tools-1.1.1.jar
    xsd-2.2.3.jar
We also verified that the web application using Tuscany has a hard reference to the Tuscany heavy resource.
However, when we try to run the web application, the following error is logged:  java.lang.LinkageError: Class commonj/sdo/DataGraph violates loader constraints
The issue is definitely due to some kind of classloading conflict with the SAP SDO library, as the application runs normally when SAP SDO is manually removed from the classpath. Doing this on a production system is unfortunately not an option, though.
So the question is: how to get web application to use Tuscany without conflicting with SAP SDO?

I took a look at the "printerReady" example.  Looks like I may be able to use the InetPing (...) function to ping through a range of IP addresses looking for a response.
Any ideas on how to find the MAC address associated with the IP addresses that respond?
We may have multiple units responding and the MAC address will allow the operator to determing which unit to connect to.
I'll try the InetPing to see how it works,
    Kirk

  • Issue in Communication of SAP R/3 6.4C with SAP J2EE Engine 6.40.

    Hello,
We have an application deployed in SAP J2EE engine 6.20. From SAP R3 (SAP R/3 version is 6.4C), We are communicating to the application deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 using RFC protocol. EJB module (Deployed in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20) which is being invoked from a Function Module using RFC protocol has the same name as the Function Module name. We were able to communicate to SAP J2EE Engine 6.20 this way.
Currently, I have deployed the same application in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40. I have followed the same procedure which i have used while depolying and working with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20. But, it is not working, and i was not able to communicate to SAP J2EE 6.40, the same way i did in SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Please let me know whether the procedure for communicating to SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 has changed in comparison with SAP J2EE Engine 6.20.
Also,Any pointers regarding RFC and JCO implementation in SAP J2EE Engine 6.40 willl be helpful.
    Thank you.

  • SAP APO with SAP R/3 integration

    Hi All,
From a technical perspective, what is it that a developer should know to work on SAP APO with SAP R/3 integration. Kindly elaborate on this if you can...
    Thanks in advance.
    Marvin
Edited by: Marvin Jones on Feb 3, 2008 5:09 AM

Standard APO and R/3 CIF integration does not need additional ABAP coding.
However if you are going to enhance any master or transaction data while transfer via CIF using BADI or User-exits then good amount of ABAP expertise is required.
Per my understanding USer-exits are classical ABAP while BADI are Object-oriented.
While I cannot comment if there will be "immense" amount of coding to be done but CIF user exits remain a critical component of any implementation. Its not the "amount" but "complexity" - need to understand the source system and target system behaiour and then accordingly modify, that matters.
Thumbrule - if its master data modification then its simple. If its transaction data modification then its can become quite complex.
    Hope this helps.

  • Brief discussion on SAP XI and its' Integration with SAP MDM.

    Hi,
I have never worked on SAP XI.
I am discussing it on brief, please give your valuable replies.
SAP XI consists of System Landascape Directory(SLD).
SLD Consists of Business System and Techinical System.
Technical System contains all information about the software
component. The Business System consists of Inbound and Outbound Business
System which are used as logical names for data transfer.
There is communication Channel for Receiver and Sender Business System and n agreement
is signed between Sender and Receiver.
Outbound Interface defined for Business System Outbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System,
Inbound Interface defined for Business System Inbound and Techical System associated
    with the Business System.
In SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Directory, we have defined the Integration Scenarios,
Actions, Interface Objects, Mapping Objects, Adapters Objects.
Mapping Object defines the Structure and Value Mapping.
Adapter Objects defines the Adapter program which implements RFC Adapter, FTP Adapter logic.
FTP Adapter is used for XI-MDM Communication.
RFC Adapter is used for XI-ECC Communication.
Integration Repository: Both Outbound and Inbound Interfaces are Mapped with Value mapping and
    Structure Mapping inside Integration Repository.
The File Adapter takes the File from the Outbound port of MDM System
and sends it as IDOC to Receiver Business System.
Value Mapping must be done between Sender and Receiver interfaces.
Value Mapping is done by XSLT or Java based program.
SAP NetWeaver XI Integration Server at runtime:
Message Split, Interface Determination, Receiver Identifaction, Mapping, Techincal Routing
and Call Adapter Proccess are done.
In SAP XI 3.0 and MDM 5.5:
Step 1: Create busines system as service.
Step 2: Create communication channel for each business service. If the system can communicate
through different channels, then create all possible channel types if necessary.
Step 3: Create receiver agreement between the systems.
    Step 4: Interface determination:
    - Here you see for the first time the software component mentioned;
there are some special requirements regarding this software component in relation to the customizing ID mapping.
    - To modify this software component, the customer needs to copy the SAP standard delivered software component
into its own namespace. The customer is able to modify to create archives
    for the customized ID mapping.
    Receiver determination.
Configure an FTP Server on the MDS.
Create a send folder for outbound messages using outbound port(s) for
    remote systems(s).
Create receive folder inbound messages using inbound port(s) for remote systems.
This ia all about concept of SAP XI Infractsture and its' Integration with SAP MDM 5.5.
    Regards
    Kaushik Banerjee

    Hi Kaushik,
You must be aware of File types that MDM Import Manager can Import i.e. we have XML, Excel etc. Now there are two transactions to extract data from R3
    1. MDMGX -
             - For lookup table extraction
             - Output in XML format which MDM can import without using XI.
              - FTP can be configured to put the file in the desired folder which will be then picked by Import Server.
    2. MDM_CLNT_EXTR -
              - For Main table records.
              - Output is in Idoc format which MDM doesn't understand hence we need XI in between which converts Idoc file received from R3 into XML which can then be imported using Import Manager or Import Server. For this we need to implement XI Scenario that consists of Source System, Receiver System, Type of Data etc.
    Just a basic understanding...

  • Implementing UCES in SAP ISU- IDES system

    Hi,
We are interested to implement UCES in SAP ISU - IDES system which we have for our internal competency and Customer POCs/Demos. ( ECC 6 with ISU)
Could any body please share their experience or knowledge on this, that would be of very helpfull.
    Many Thanks
    Raja

    Hi,
There is something called UCES - Biller Direct where is there is an Interaction Between SAP Biller Direct and Contract Accounts Receivable and Payable.
Purpose:You should use SAP Biller Direct if you want to present information about customer accounts in your Internet portal and offer your customers the option of paying bills or of creating inquiries and complaints via the Internet.
Implementation Considerations : Your customer does not need to install any SAP software to be able to use SAP Biller Direct. All functions can be carried out using a standard Web browser.
Information on the necessary system requirements and the browsers supported by SAP Biller Direct can be found in the introductory sections of the installation guide.
SAP Biller Direct consists of an application based on JavaServer Pages. The accounting system runs on a standard application server and is used as the back end for SAP Biller Direct. The transfer of data between the front end and back end is done by RFC and is ensured using the SAP Java Connector (JCO), which you install as part of the SAP middleware.

  • Integrating FIM with SAP using web services connector

    Hi
I am implementing the FIM web services connector to integrate with SAP. The MS connector config guide for SAP documentation seems to me missing some content or at least I think it might be written for an earlier version of
SAP than the version we are working with(different screenshots, options, etc). The version of SAP we have implemented is EHP6 for SAP ERP6 which I believe translates to ECC6.
SAP web services have been configured and FIM performs successful discovery of the wsdl endpoint and BAPI operations as expected. Our issue is that FIM fails to run a full import. From the digging around web service config and error logs two observations comes
    out:
    1. FIM Full Import workflow does not render correctly through the web service configuration tool and complains of a duplicate attribute "xml:space is a duplicate attribute on line on line 424 on position 103". Review of the wsconfig generated by the
webservice config tool points to an variable supplied to a construct the query to a BAPI of HR infotype 0006. Extract below:
    ...<InArgument x:TypeArguments="d:BAPIP0006L" xml:space="preserve">[If(Not IsNothing(addressInfo) AndAlso Not IsNothing(addressInfo.item), addressInfo.item, Enumerable.Empty(Of BAPIP0006L)()).
    OrderByDescending(Function(a) DateTime.ParseExact(a.VALIDBEGIN, dataSourceDateFormatValue, Nothing)).
    ThenByDescending(Function(a) Integer.Parse(a.RECORDNR)).FirstOrDefault()]</InArgument>...
I can only guess that it means the query should keep the spaces within the string it passes to SAP but this is where my understanding stops.
    2. SAP returns errors about not implementing a BAPI EMPLOYEE_GETDATA function which is not part of the exposed BAPI operations. Well the obvious solution to this would be expose this missing operation (which is undocumented in MS config guide) however this
BAPI is a core requirement to retrieve person information. I would be hugely surprised if this operation was not factored into the config. This makes me think that to understand this better I need to resolve issue 1 first and get the rendering sorted first.
Has anyone come across the above issues with a recent implementation with this connector? Or help point me in the right direction?
any help would be greatly appreciated!
    thanks!!

    Hi Joe,
you most probably missed the sentence "Add the required BAPI’s in the function group and select those required BAPI’s and click continue." in the "Connector for SAP.docx" document on page 8. In other words your webservice does not provide the required
    BAPIs.
In the "DefaultSAPECC_6.wsconfig" the workflows for import and export require specific BAPIs.
Also make sure that your Service Definition has got the same name as in the documentation and the workflow template.
I was fighting with this for the last 4 days but in the end got it working.
    Hope this helps
    Chris
