Hello Experts,
Can we implement Rollong news updated in the view. as we can see in yahoo.com.and how to update those news.

I was refering to implementing an Adobe Flash Island (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw72/helpdata/en/48/825afcf53d3ff6e10000000a42189c/frameset.htm)
By creating a simple Flash / Flex component (in which it's fairly simple to create scrolling marquees etc) you can embed it in a FlashIsland UI component
Or maybe simpler, you could use an IWDIFrame component, in which you simply link to a HTML file showing your rolling news
Bottom line is, by default the rolling news functionality is not possible but with a workaround and some extra effort you could get what you want

My idea is that Spotify roll back their client to 0.8.5. and withdraw the "horrible update" 0.8.8. until it is fully tested and working.

I agree here. It's incredible how many customers are unhappy with this buggy new update, and that the devs would even bother making so many unwanted changes in the first place. I'll give them credit for fixing the "keep playing tracks after an album has ended" issue in the past few days. Does anyone know of an idea for reverting to the non-web-based format that 0.8.5 had? I'm surprised to be unable to find it by searching under "ideas," because it's made things about ten times slower than they were when Spotify ran more like an offline app without having to constantly load every page. I have a fairly new computer and am using FiOS, and it's still unacceptably slow. Streaming is for convenience, and a web-based interface takes away much of that convenience. Does anyone actually prefer the new web-based app design? I can't imagine why, and it really boggles the mind that the devs won't just leave well enough alone instead of making things needlessly laggy. Anyway, if anyone can direct me to a thread asking for the non-web-based format to return, please link me to it. I'd be very grateful.

am designing a web site and i have a latest news colunm with only a paragraph of the news on the home page with a button that links to a to a page with the full news. i would love some help on how to update that colunm automatically with the first paragraph of every new new added to the news page.

When will there be a new update?

I just purchased two Xperia Mini Pro phones.
I really like the phones and it said the updated to ICS is avaible right after connecting them to a PC.
The problem is that I read some topics here before deciding on upgrading and the missing or none working notification light is no go for me.
The whole reason I purchased Sony phones where because they had light notifications and most phones don´t. That and of course other features I like, like excellent camera and small phones. If you happen to receive important notifications you can´t check the phone every 5 minute when you leave the desk. Not being able to see notifications blinking its just a disaster. And Sony says this is to save battery? Honestly do you think this saves like hours of battery? I don´t think so and the feature is more important than anything else on a phone, if you leave the phone for a while or are in a noise enviroment its all you have to check something new is coming your way.
I also read the camera is slow and has problems. Its pretty clear that Google has fixed most of this issues in Jelly Bean, you can´t see almost any new features but because most of the work is behind in the core, its called project butter for a reason. To make the ICS run as smoth as possible.
Would it not be smart for Sony to jump to Jelly Bean to fix the performance and most issues on this phones? That is maybe asking to much but at least if they can make ICS run stable.
My phones says there is an update available 4.1.B.0.431.
So I just denied the updates, until a new one comes, one that fixes the current issues.
I know its just to recent since Sony started to roll ICS, so bugs are expected. But I really hope they keep sending fixed and patches to make run as smoth without killing phone basic features like notifications, performance, camera, etc.
Please someone update this topic when there is a new updated after 4.1.B.0.431
I could not find a single changelog on Sony website so I can´t actually check when there will be a new update as there is nothing to compare with it either.

You mean on the phone or where? Sorry, I just got the phones.
From the phone itself it says there is no update. From the PC Companion it says there is a new version 4.1.B.0.431. available. I did not even set the language on phones, so there is really absolutely nothing on it. A full OS upgrade would be the smart thing to do.
But since I read most people have a slower experience on ICS, im really confused. If I had this phone months before of course I would just used what was available, but since I have both options now, what comes as stock and the update im a limbo about my decision. And since the update is very, very new. I could also say, give Sony a few weeks or months to get things right and then upgrade.
I don´t know why some people talk so great about ICS vs Gingerbread because what I see now on the phones is just amazing and very nice. I don´t see how it can be even better. Of course if performance is going to be an issue I prefer to wait. I don´t the phones now. I have my current phone so I can just put them on the box and wait until a stable release is available.

An iPhone backup to a computer via iTunes stores the photos in a backup file that is only meant to be be used if needed to restore back to the phone. There is 3rd party "extractor" software available but otherwise the photos are not directly viewable.
The backup via iTunes was a good idea and your Camera Roll photos should be there and should be able to be restored to your new phone. However if it was me I wouldn't rely on that alone. I would also import the photos to a computer where you can see and verify that you have a copy. That is a good idea at any time (not just when you know you might need it). Any phone can be lost, broken, suffer hardware issues, etc at any time and lose all data on it. Scrolling too fast in new update~

So, when the new update of Spotify rolled out, the scrolling got all wierd. When I scroll through a page, 1 unit of scrolling (one slight turn of the mouse wheel) scrolls an entire page. Is it just me, or is this happening to everyone? This is really annoying. Please fix and set the scrolling to what normal apps are!

That's weird. It seems to be working fine on my end.
Have you tried to reboot your pc? It might be a system bug.
If that doesn't help, then try doing a full reinstallation of the app, including removing your local cache/data files.
If that still doesn't work for you, then post here below:

New update not allowing autoplay from URI

Hello. We are a group currently developing a spotify app, and we were making use of the fact that you could send a URI to the browser and that song would autoplay from the desktop client. This is no longer possible with the new update, as it just finds the song and doesnt start anything. I hope this is a bug. The song will not start even though nothing else is playing either.
Open.spotify.com always just opens the web player, so that is of no use as well in the app we are making.

What is this for a stupid decission to cancel the autoplay functionality? Currently autoplay is not working! There must be the following in: - Open Spotify through a playlist link: Option in the URL for autoplay or just open the playlist- Open Spotify without a playlist link: Option to autoplay the last playlist If this will not be implementes ASAP I will look at Apple Musich and other like Deezer! Spotify is such a great tool, but what you have done here by killing the autoplay functionality was a step back into stone age !!

New update messed up all my photos

I did the new update and my photos got really blurry like I had taken them with a bad camera (not the camera roll just the ones previously sunk with itunes). Then I tried taking all the photos off the phone and resyncing. This proved challenging as anything I asked it to sync or unsync I had to do a hard reset on the phone for it to take affect...What the heck is going on here??? Anyone??

My pictures in the photo library were blurry after OS4 install. I went into itunes, unchecked the sync photos, synced the phone. I then went back, checked the sync photos box, synced my phone again....tada! All fixed.

every single update so far was pathetic attemp to fool us and make us happy.
there is no change at all from v30,31, and 32. exect the slightly smaller font for text input in v32.
nokia promises alot in the new update, (browser, smiler and map)
hope it leaves up to the expectation and include the portrait qwerty,homescreen and lockscreen.
Why is it so hard to implement?
slide to unlock and homescreen is already available in c6, and the portrait qwerty is available in 5800.
its no like we are asking for impossible like continuous autofocus for video recording!!

Incomplete boot with new update

I did the new update with pacman -Syu and now notice the following during the boot process, which stops cold:
scsi2 : sym-2.2.1
2:0:0:0: ABORT operation started
[some other similar lines ...]
sym0: SCSI BUS has been reset
Then the boot process stops. When I boot a different distro, and examine what happens after the first line above, I notice that my external scsi devices are then recognized instead of the other lines you see above. I have no scsi hard drives. That is, I boot from an IDE drive.
I have a disk image of my previous Arch setup, so can easily restore that in just a few minutes, and can then do a pacman -Syu with the kernel being blacklisted. But I was wondering if there's a way to make the new update work for me. I have full access to the Arch install via a different distro, so I can edit the config files there easily before booting it again.
Also, if I decide to blacklist kernel upgrades, how do I do that with Arch? Never needed to do that before.

I have restored my old image of Arch and done a pacman -Syu with the latest kernel ignored and all is well. I'll just roll my own 2.6.13 later.

How can i implement an internal update server to make incremental deployments with a customized version of Firefox.

First of all, Thank you very much for your replies.
Now i just want to make sure about the following:
I do a customization preference on Firefox 10.0.12 and packaging it to msi file (i do it by adding some files firefox.cfg etc...) and when installed it on any PC the Firefox installed successfully with all new preference, then i set "app.update.url" preference to my local installed Apache server (http://localhost/%PRODUCT%/%VERSION%/%LOCALE%/update.xml ).
update.xml file contains the update to version 12.
then chose "check for updates" from "Help" menu and i get the updated version of firefox with all customized preference.
this mean that Upgrading Firefox will replace its files, but it will not remove the manually added files.
So that there is no needs to customized the MAR file.
i tried this and its work fine for me. please confirm that , thank you very much again, waiting your response :)

I was on the phone with tech support a few times today and I too was informed that a new update was rolling out. The reason for my call was constantly dropping my data connection since the last update. The first rep told me that gingerbread was going to be included in this new update, however the next rep said it wasn't. Finally, the last rep told me there was no update. So, I believe there is an update about to surface, what it contains is a mystery. It could be a gift or Pandora's box, we shall see. As for the rep who said there wasn't any update, you have successfully removed all feeling of accomplishment for reps who become supervisors, as it appears Verizon will sacrifice knowledge for someone who can read off of a script.

Well La Dee Dah Yvonne . . . I got news for you . . . 3 different nokia employess at 3 different times and days told me that they have no idea when a new update will be out. Infact one of them went so far as to tell me to sell of my phone and buy a new one if i'm not happy with it and guess what . . . Thats EXACTLY what i did. I had 2 Nokia Lumia 710's. A black one for myself and a white one for my wife. Well so taking your Nokia Employees enlightened advice I went and bought a black Samsung Galaxy S II for myself and a white one for my wife . . . Mifi 4510L and 4620LE throughput slows throughout day eventually locks up in 24-48 hours. New Update?

Hello all. I have had a Mifi 4510L for about 6 months and its behaved pretty well. A lot of drop outs but it would reconnect and keep going. I bought a 4620LE last month and tried it for a couple of weeks. I noticed when I first powered it on it said it was installing an update. After the first day where it seemed to work fine, I rebooted it to leave on while I returned to my home.
The mifi unit is on a farm about 100 miles outside of town and is my only link to my farm and observatory (via gotomypc). I can monitor the observatory, close the roof if weather turns bad and take images of objects in the sky. Well its obviously a very high priority that the connection be maintained unless I want a 200 mile round trip drive in the middle of the night.
So the mifi 4620 was great on paper but but as the day went along it would get slower and slower. If I restarted it it was normally good for another 24 hours. However one nite it decided to stop working at 1:30 AM which caused a 3 hour drive to find it had just plain locked up. So I took it back and returned to using the 4510L with out difficulty again even though it was a bit choppier but comparatively very reliable.
Then last week the same affliction began with the 4510L. Getting slower and slower throughout the day unless restarted. And today having forgotten to recycle it yesterday I'm getting ready for a 3 hour drive to go power cycle it.
So I have a couple questions.
1) Have there been any new updates that may have occurred lately and is there anyway to roll back the updates if this is true?
2) I have a powerstrip ordered that can ping the mifi unit continously to see if its down and then powercycle the powerstrip its attached to. It can also do that every day at a certain time. I would have to take the battery out so when the power is cycled for 10 seconds it would shut off then back on.
The main question on this is, is there a way to have the mifi unit power back on in an active mode instead needing the button depressed to bring it back to life?
For information I'm about 5-7 miles from a tower and am using an external antenna with a 3 watt amplifier. It ha always preformed well, well until just before Xmas.

Hmm interesting on the power strip idea. I've written some software that can remotely manage my mifi (performing web requests to restart it). If I remove the battery from mine (only powered via usb or outlet) it just goes into an endless loop of powering on and then off again. How'd you get yours to stay powered on?
My software doesn't work when the mifi has crashed though
