Implement Single Sign-On support for the Oracle E-Business suite
I want implement Single Sign-On support for the Oracle E-Business suite.
Operationg System : linux/Solaris
Oracle E-Business suite : 11.5.10
Oracle Application Server : 10gAS(latest availble)
Type of integration : SSO and OID with 11i
No third party SSO or LDAP
Qusetions
1.If my SSO Server is down can i login to applications(11i) using normal mode(default login http://servername.xxxx.com:8000/).
2. Is it possible to have appilications (11i) in Linux/Solaris and 10gAS in windows.
Please answer...

You couldn't login into server But You can use the following login
http://servername.xxxx.com:8000/AppsLocalLogin.jsp
For this you need to enable the Appslocallogin Profile option

It is needed as some steps will be applied if it is upgraded from 11 to 12..

How to put an image infront of a link as in the Oracle E-Business Suite

I have noticed that when the main page opens in the EBS after login, the links that we see has a small square icon infront of it.
Can anyone let me know whats the name of this image and how to put it infront of the links on my main page.

I have just found out that in the E-business suite, when you click a link with the icon as fwkhp_formsfunc.gif then it opens up Oracle Forms based interfaces, whereas when you click on a link with fwkhp_sswafunc.gif as an icon, then OAF based pages opens up.
Just thought of sharing with you.

I use the new Windows Live Essentials Suite to store my Contacts, write and receive Emails or to vie the calender. Is there any chance to get these Apps supported in a new iTunes release so that I can sync all of this information with my iPod Touch ?

It would be up to Microsoft do make an App. If Microsoft enabled exchange support like Google Sync , or Nuevasync, you could do it as the iPhone/iPod touch supports Exchange.

Oracle E-Business Suite account has not been linked with the Single Sign-On

We followed this note 1484024.1 to integrate Oracle EBS 12.1.3 with Oracle Access manager 11g R2.
Integrating Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 with Oracle Access Manager 11gR2 (11.1.2) using Oracle E-Business Suite Access Gate [ID 1484024.1]
All the steps have been complete successfully without any errors.
When the excisistign users trying to login.. they will get the single single OAM page but not able to use their current user id and passwords..
it says: "Your Oracle E-Business Suite account has not been linked with the Single Sign-On account that you just entered. Please enter your Oracle E-Business Suite information. The next time you sign on with your Single Sign-On account, it will automatically sign you on to the Oracle E-Business Suite using the following account information. "

"this is expected, if you are linking your existing OID users with existing EBS users.
When it asks the user information here, enter the EBS username and password.
The first time users login to ebs, it needs to link that particular usre with a particular.
The next time you login, it does auto link.

Sourcing 7.0: Email Link in Mail templates when implementing Single Sign on

We are implementing Sourcing 7.0 SP02 On premise.
We are in the processing of setting up the single sign on with Enterprise Portal.
In E-Sourcing 5.1 - when we implement single sign on with portal - the mail links in the mail templates have to be replaced with the portal URL and also - in order to redirect the user from portal login to the correct object in E-Sourcing (contract/MA/RFX) - we had implemented a custom portal solution (par file) to redirect the user.
So when the user clicks on the link in the mail - it will take the user to Enterprise portal login. Once the login is done - user will be redirected to the E-Sourcing object like RFX/MA which the token %DOCUMENT_URL% contains.

In user emails, %DOCUMENT_URL% token is used to generate the document
specific URL. This URL takes the user directly to the document. However,
when Sourcing is integrated with SAP Portal, using only this token will not
take the user to the document. In order to fix this, ENCODE function has
been introduced. Wrapping this around the URL, the URL can be encoded and
used as a "forcedURL" in the portal link.
Would you be able to explain to me how this can be achieved through configuration? I tried now with a portal user of Sourcing and the link was still showing up as the old link. Is this forcedURL generated using a system property?

Hi,
I am working on Oracle EBS and OEID integration for iprocurement. Followed the Installing Oracle E-Business Suite Extensions for Oracle Endeca, Release 12.2 V (Doc ID 1614014.1).
But not able to find the postSetup.sh script at /u01/Oracle/quickInstall path which is use to perform following task:
1. Create JNDI: Create JNDI data source for Oracle Endeca Studio Portal and Clover to obtain a connection to the Oracle
2. Create DD: Create a default data domain profile for the dgraph processes to tune the performance of the integrator graphs.
I think this script is missing from the Oracle E-Business Suits Extensions for Oracle Endeca Server Quick Install for linux installable:
Please suggest.

Oracle ADF security integration with Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS

I have an Oracle ADF 11.1.2.2 application that is using ADF security for authentication and authorization.
When we deploy this application to our JDeveloper integrated weblogic server, we utilize the security setting of "Custom" and use weblogic users and roles to map to the ADF application roles. In that environment our security is working properly.
I have a Weblogic 10.3.5 standalone server that has the ADF runtime installed as well as the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation installed.
When I deploy the Oracle ADF application to the standalone weblogic server, I am directed to the JAAS login page when I attempt to access any JSF page (including those that I have granted View access through the anonymous-role. Does the Oracle ADF anonymous-role work (allow for anonymous page access) when JAAS security is handled by the Oracle E-Business Suite SDK JAAS implementation?
Per the SDK instructions, when we install the Oracle ADF deployment on Weblogic we have selected "DD only" for our security setting. We have defined enterprise roles in the Oracle ADF security setup (jazn-data.xml) that are assigned the appropriate application roles. Those enterprise roles have the same name (i.e. UMX|YOURROLE) as the E-Business Suite roles that are assigned to our test users. When we login with an E-Business Suite user / password we are receiving an error:
Error 401--Unauthorized
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
Any thoughts on why that would be?

Oracle E-Business Suite integration is failing with OSSO

We are integration EBS 12.1.1 with OSSO 10g (OID 10.1.4.3) using txkrun.pl script. This is a production environment and has 2 nodes of OID and 2 nodes of Database in RAC mode. When we run the txkrun.pl script we are getting the below error:

If you are running Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12.1.1 and integrating with OID 11g, you will also need to download and install TXK patch 7651166, which provides several fixes to Applications Technology code, including an update to the Oracle E-Business Suite OID registration scripts that adds support for OID 11g. The patch should be applied to all Oracle E-Business Suite middle tier nodes. This patch is not required if you are integrating with any other version of Oracle E-Business Suite.

How to Display Data from Oracle E Business Suite tables in ADF

I am new to ADF.
I have a requirement to Create an ADF page for Search Results Screen.
However the result data is from one of the Oracle E Business Suite Tables.
ie I need to create a Screen where user will enter a Purchase Order Number and Click on Button.
The Screen should show details from PO_HEADERS_ALL (from Oracle ERP Database Table) based on the entered PO Number.
Is it possible to implement the same? Can some one guide me how to do it?

I think if you are on 12.0.6 you do not need to have those patches applied -- Please query AD_BUGS table to verify if you already have those patches applied or not.
If you cannot download those patches and you still think you need it, please log a SR and Oracle support should help.
