Implemnet LYNC functionality in Sharepoint

Hi All,
I am new to sharepoint 2013 and LYNC , My requirement is as.
1. On home page we have a webpart on click of button inside that a new page will load . This page will show all LYNC contacts of currently logged in user with there presence.
2. User can select any of them and start a call , chat or share file .
3. Lync is installed on machine but user should not be logged in there .
Please let me know what is the approach to get this done.

Ribbon. Because this is a flexible way for SharePoint. In my project experience, I always suggest my customers to use it. In the feature, if my customers have customization about permission then i can accomplish this as soon

I dont Know whether i am asking a good question or bad one . but i am not very much expert in search.
I have to display No of Likes , Share functionality in SharePoint Search Results.
i know little basic about how display templates works. i want to implement these like and share functionality as actions in Item_common_hoverpanel_Actions template. show that i can see in preview.

This will be difficult. The number of likes has a managed property called LikesCount but it is not populated by the search crawler. So your JavaScript will have to read the "LikesCount" field of the corresponding list item. That would be a
lot of code to execute in the item display template just to display the number of likes. You could have a button that displayed a callout that would get the information and display it. The Sharing could be done via JavaScript in your item display template
using a REST call. You can see an example of code to do that here:

Just remember the user must have permission to share these documents, so your code will have to handle this.

'Share' functionality in SHarePoint 2013 - Prevent access to files

Hello
I have a client that has just moved to SP2013 and they used the send document link as hyperlink in email functionality of SharePoint 2010 regularly. THis was good for them because if the link was sent to a user that did not have access to a document
then they couldn't open it.
I would like to do the same thing in the 2013 environment and I have been making use of the 'Share' functionality. This does not seem to be working as if the Share functionality is used then the users specified get access to the document regardless
of their permissions.
Is there a way to stop users from opening documents if they are accidentally sent a link to a document they don't have access to?? it seems the 'Share' functionality overwrites it.

According to your description, my understanding is that you want to add loading image when click the paging button to load the data.
I suggest you can use Jquery BlockUI Plugin to show a block image when loding data in paging click event.

Mutilple File Selection and Upload Functionality in Sharepoint 2010

Hi,
I have a requirement that i have to create an Application page where i should have the following functionality.
Should be able to select multiple files at a single shot.
That is when i click on Browse and choose files i should be able to choose more than one file and then i have to upload all the files to Sharepoint document library.
I know how to upload mutiple files to library , but am unaware how to select mutiple files with single browse.
By using Fileupload control we can select only one file at a time. ( We have to use more Fileupload control and get more files , but have to select the files one by one only )
Is there any control or any workaround to achieve this.
Main thing is to select Multiple files at a single go.

Using SSRS Built in Functions in SharePoint

Hi there,
I currently have a number of reports deployed on a SharePoint site at work. I would like to monitor who actually uses which report and when they ran the report and also how long the report ran for. This is for auditing purposes and getting an idea
of the performance of these reports.
I came across the following built in functions on SSRS; UserID, ReportName, ReportServerUrl and ExecutionTime. Is it possible to use these functions somehow in SSRS & SharePoint whenever someone accesses a particular report and perhaps write this
information to a SharePoint list within our SharePoint site.
If this is possible, how would I go about doing this?
Also, some of our reports run off parameters, is it possible to capture what parameters were used as well?

Can not find any doc by search function in SharePoint 2013

Please do as the followings:
Make sure that you have created and configured Search Services Application, you can refer to the link:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg502597.aspx
Make sure that Search Host Controller Service , Search Query and Site Settings Service and SharePoint Server Search are started
Open the library, click on Library Settings->Advanced settings, on the Seach section, select Yes.
Please use the completed name of the document to search, compare the result.

I have limited functionality using sharepoint with firefox

There are certain views in sharepoint that are only accessible when using activex controls. Firefox is my only browser, which means I have limited functionality attempting to make new pages or visit pages in certain views.

Sharepoint is not a proper cross-platform system. I understand that Sharepoint 2010 is better at talking to Firefox and other non-IE browsers than Sharepoint 2007 and earlier, but it still has problems. Ironically, even some IE users have trouble due to the ActiveX requirements.
I'm confident that workarounds could be implemented with Greasemonkey and other tools to address this on the browser side, but there don't seem to be any that work in a completely compatible way. There are certainly dozens of HTML editors which work nicely in Firefox which could get linked in either through a client-side add-on or by modifying behavior on the server.
At least two HTML editors are built into plugins which allow you to right-click on a textarea and edit the contents in a more WYSIWYG manner. I tried the Write Area and Xinha addons, and they both pop up a new HTML window for editing with just a right-click. Unfortunately, Sharepoint has a lot of mucky CSS which causes the pristine HTML coming out of those editors to be rendered in an ugly way. We need a rich text editor that can inherit all of the CSS that Sharepoint serves up yet still work in a nice way.
There are some sites which describe how to serve up FCKeditor, TinyMCE, and other rich text editors from the server side. Here are a few for TinyMCE:

Of course, the text editor is just one of many things that are screwy about Sharepoint. Someone ought to put together a whole project to gather together the various bits needed to make Sharepoint better for cross-platform users.
There is at least one company which provides commercial Sharepoint server-side add-ons to make a variety of user interface improvements for both IE and non-IE browsers:

I'd rather see companies use something other than Sharepoint for internal wiki-ish sites. Despite the marketing, many Sharepoint sites do little more than share Word and Excel documents. There are many good alternative systems which are much better at promoting collaboration.

Follow up functionality in Sharepoint

Hello,
Is it possible to assign a follow up date or an expiration date to a document in Sharepoint? And receive an email or notification directly from Sharepoint when the document expires.
For example when a vendor agreement needs to be updated because is has a validity period of six month. Or a report has to be updated each month.
