Import a backed-up repository in Designer 9i

Hi,
I have a 9i repository on WinNT. From the Repository Administration Utility, I have taken a backup of the repository(Export) and stored it as .dmp file. Now i want to import the backed-up .dmp file to replace the existing repository. But the Import icon is not enabled to import the .dmp file. Can somebody tell me why this button is disabled. Is the process that i am doing the right one or can any of u suggest a way in which i can import the repository backup.

I would guess that you need to drop all the database objects before you can import. A good way to test this is to create a new repository owner and see if the import is enabled.

In this way, I can't import any object from repository and the only way to create a new object is to create it on Design Center and then deploy it. It's so boring creating table or views adding a field by hand...

The issue may be a bit more complex than just missing roles. If a target schema has been rebuilt (i.e. dropped and recreated) you will need to re-register it as a valid location with it's local runtime repository.
I have, on a couple of occassions, had problems re-registering a user through the GUI if that schema was not unregistered prior to being rebuilt. Make an OMBPLUS connection to the runtime environment on the instance where your target is located, and re-register it with:
OMB+> OMBCONNECT OWB_MGR/OWB_MGR_PWD@YOUR_HOST:YOUR_PORT:YOUR_SRVC USE REPOSITORY 'OWB_MGR_SCHEMA'
OMB+> OMBUNREGISTER USER 'TARGET_SCHEMA' IDENTIFIED BY 'TARGET_SCHEMA_PASSWORD'

Pb while importing a workarea with repository object navigator in 10g

Hi,
I've just created a new repository for designer 10g 10.1.2.0.2 and I try to import a dmp file from a workarea exported with the same version but on another machine.
when I start the import it "freeze" at the step :

I've solved the problem.
my repository was not good installed, created a fresh one than do the import and everything is now fine.

How import prior Backed-Up Fox Favorities in multiple sub-folders rather than one at a time in Fox 6.0

How do you import prior Backed-Up Fox Favorities. This involved many short-cuts and contained in multiple sub-folders.
How can I import the whole folder library rather than one short-cut at a time from each folder.

The favorites shortcuts were not IE but from Firefox. I had a operating system failure. So, after re-installing the operating system, I then had to re-install all applications anew.
After installing Fox 6.0, the problem is my prior use of folders and sub-folders with many favorites shortcuts in each.
It appears that I will need to start anew with creating a folder system in the new firefox application. Then take all of the favorites shortcuts, individually, out of folders and put them in a file in a row, in an antilog fashion. Then try to get Firefox to accept them in some fashion.
I also do not know how to (1) export IE Favorites (2) in IE (3) to an HTML?
I am just lost.

Error while Importing Metadata into DAC Repository

Hi,
After the successful first time login into DAC and creating repository, when I try to import metadata into DAC repository.
DAC > Tools > DAC Repository Management > Import
I don't see any Applications listed under "Application List"
Can anybody suggest the troubleshooting steps for this?

If this is the first time that you are importing make sure that the directory you are importing from is like this -
C:\OBIEE\OracleBI\DAC\export
If this is not the first time then
Can you go inside the following directory
C:\OBIEE\OracleBI\DAC\log
and check for export.log - Look for Applications Section, if you have any application then you had exported it and you should see it under the applications tab when importing otherwise you don't !!Since its an xml file that is generated i believe you have not exported by selecting the applications yo want and that is your problem.

For instance, all new iMac's now have proprietary drive software installed on the hard drives for heat monitoring. So now the only choice a user has is to bring their iMac into a Apple Store for a very expensive drive upgrade, which a person then decides the money is better spent buying a new machine.

Have you configure SLD properly. to check this give the tcode 'sldcheck'. if it is not giving any error, u have to create 'lcr' rolesin j2ee UME and those roles to be maped to the users using j2ee visuval administrator. for more information check SLD configuration guide .

I need to insert audio over 4 slides in a 43 slide presentaton. How do I get the "audio Import option" back so I can do this?

Hi there
Look at the timing for the slide. If the slide duration is long enough to accommodate the audio clip you will not see this dialog. The only way I've ever seen it occur is to ensure that the slide duration is shorter than the audio clip.
For example, try inserting a blank slide timed for one second. As long as the audio clip is longer than that, you should see the dialog when inserting the clip. But if the audio clip would play for three seconds and the slide itself is perhaps ten seconds long, there is no need to present the dialog.

Use the search field to find your song in iTunes, and drag the song from the m
Media Browser to a real instrument track or an empty space on the Time Line.
Or drag the song from the iTunes Application window to the desktop, and from the Desktop into the Time Line in GarageBand. Unfortunately you cannot drag directly from iTunes to Garageband.

the file contents are:

where receipt is my form name and cfien is my field name.
Can you tell me how to make an XMl file to load the data or give a sample file. Do I need to have SOM expressions in field names?

Import Enterprise Service into Repository and Enhance Service

Hi experts.
We've activated with transaction SOAMANAGER a enterprise service discovered in ENTERPRISE SERVICE WORKPLACE in SAP BACKEND.
In SAP PI we created a external definition from WSDL definition and we've developed a SOAP to SOAP scenario where SOAP receiver is pointing to this service. Everytring is working fine but I have some doubts.
1. Is that the best way to proceed? Should I have to import metadata in someway from enterprise service workplace into repository and not create a external definition from import wsdl retrive in ENTERPRISE SERVICE WORKPLACE?
2. Now we have a new requriment and we have to add to a new field into response message. So we need to enhance the enterprise service. How we can get that?

First question resolved. In this guide is explained how to enhance a standard enterprise service:

One of the steps is create a enhanced data type from original data type and then import this enhanced data type to backend with SPROXY transaction. Then you can enhance the standard code with BADIs. But my question is, how I import to SAP PI repository the metadata of a standard enterprise service (data types, message types, service interface). I'm using the enterprise service SupplierERPBasicDataByElementsQueryResponse_In.

Books are Stored in File JSON file type in FireFox 4 But when I go to Import them back. I'm asked for HTML only and the JSON Files do not show. What do I do?

I pushed the "backup" feature in my bookmarks and it stored them in file format JSON. Yet When I asked to Import them back. I only see that bookmarks of HTML are accessible.
What am I to do?

You need to restore a JSON backup:
* Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Restore > Choose File
