Import a GarageBand zip file

On iPad Safari I downloaded a GarageBand project zip. How do I import it into GarageBand? Thanks.

Thanks Steelman, this is exactly what I am looking for. But the application I want to change is a standard one so I can not import it in NWSD and then deploy it... With the .PAR downloaded I am going to change directly the JSP page and then to uploade the new PAR file in the portal (without NWDS). For this is it obligatory to create a new iview or could I change the .PAR of the existing Iview?

Jerome.

    Hi
Why are you trying to import BPM zip file are you trying to configure the out of the box workflows?
They are something that need to be deployed from the process admin on BPM.
There would be the .exp file you would need as its BPM 10g that you would need to use.

Import e-mail into numbers Mac Pro 10.10.2 Yosemite can not open the zip file with data, names, addresses. Jerry

    Jerry,
Numbers cannot open a zip file.  drag the zip file to the downloads folder or the desktop or where ever you like.
Double click the zip file.  This should "unzip" the file (that is it will uncompress the file).
then, hopefully, there is a Numbers file in the resulting files.  double click the numbers file

  • How to import a BPEL project zip file into jdeveloper?

This worked for me before, but I seem to be doing something wrong this time.
I tried the File -> Import ->BPEL process option and navigated to the location of the .bpel file (after I extracted the .zip file contents). But this didn't seem to work as the entire project wasn't imported.

You'll probably have better luck posting this in the BPEL forum

  • How to import a zipped file?

    Hi-
I am trying to import a zipped file (UCSF hospitalist handbook) into itunes, so I can then put it on my iphone. I've used this handbook on my palm pilot for years, but would like to now use it on my iphone. I cannot seem to import it into itunes though. I downloaded from here: http://www.meistermed.com/isilodepot/isilodocs/isilodocs_ucsf_hospitalisthandbook.htm:
but then don't know how to get into itunes. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Zip files are like wrapped presents. You have to unzip them to see what goodies are inside!
Usually double-clicking the Zip file will give you a dialog to start the extraction.
If by any chance that doesn't work, right-clck the ZIP file and choose Open With > Compressed Folders.
Presumably the contents will turn out to be iTunes-compatible files and you can add them to your library.

  • How can I import iPhone Garageband Files to Mac Garageband?

How can I import iPhone Garageband Files to Mac Garageband? I've found lots of threads about this but no direct answers/how to.
    Thanks

With the latest build of GarageBand on the device, move to the My Songs view, tap the Edit button at top right, select the shaking song you want to export, then tap the sharing arrow symbol at top left, tap iTunes, then GarageBand.
Connect the device to iTunes, select it in the left-hand column, then select the Apps tab. You should find the exported file in the File Sharing area of the GarageBand app and from there you can copy it to your computer, then open it with the GarageBand application.

  • Open or import a real MIDI-file in Garageband on ipad2?

how do I open or import a real MIDI-file ( xxx.mid ) in Garageband on ipad2? Neither as Mail attachement, nor via iTunes an import will work.

    @squidbabyink
    hello,
it seems so, that you just can move a GB-session from the ipad to the mac; the way from mac to ipad doesn't work. So here is an alternative I found in the AppStore, it's called Music Studio.
You can find infos, tutorials here:
    http://www.xewton.com/musicstudio/overview/
GB may be nice for some folks; in my opinion it's a toy, but no editor.

  • HT4622 How to import .band and .mid files into GarageBand for iOS

Using GarageBand for MacOS X, I have no difficulty importing and playing .mid (MIDI) files.  Indeed, I can even rename .kar (Karaoke) files to .mid, import them into GarageBand for MacOS X and see the lyrics along with the score.  Using File Sharing for iOS apps in iTunes.app, I have tried to import .mid and .band files (made from .mid files with GarageBand for MacOS X) using this mechanism.  I get no errors but it doesn't seem to work.  That is, neither the .band file nor the .mid file are accessible from within GarageBand for iOS as far as I can tell.  What should I be doing instead?

As I understand it GarageBand for iOS .band projects can be imported to GarageBand for OS X, but the reverse isn't true. GarageBand for iOS does not import midi files.
The File Sharing section of iTunes doesn't validate the files you put into it, but if the app doesn't like the structure of the file it will just ignore it.

You need to convert it to 44.1 16 bit. You can do that with iTunes.

  • I purchased creative lightroom presets. I see the zip file in my download file and I try to import to LR but it just keeps creating a bundle never giving me the option to import (greyed out). What am I doing wrong?

I purchased creative lightroom presets. I see the zip file in my download file and I try to import to LR but it just keeps creating a bundle never giving me the option to import (greyed out). What am I doing wrong?

Try unzipping the file first. I have no idea regarding your level of technical expertise so advanced apologies if this is really basic. A ZIP file is a compressed file containing one of more files within it. To access the files you will need to expand it. If you double-click on it first, it should open up for you. If it does not automatically expand, you can select the files and copy them to a new folder. The copy will unload them into an uncompressed form. Once they have been uncompressed, you should be able to import them.
If the import is still giving you problems, go to your Preferences, click on the Presets tab and click the Show Presets Folder button. You can then copy your purchased presets into the folder shown. You will want to copy them to the User Presets subfolder.

I have imported a Zip files, mp3 music to my Desktop. How do I move it into iTunes. I have tried d/drop and also Import to Library without success. Can anyone help, please?

Many thanks to Limnos and King Penguin.
I have discovered! I needed software to Unzip and was directed to Stuffit from the App Store. Suddenly it is simple.
    Download Zip File to Desktop.
rt>  Zip        >Open with.....     >Stuffit     Progress Bar: 'Expanding' follows. Then a blue folder (manilla) returns to Desktop.
Open iTunes     >File     >Import to Library      From drop down select  the now expanded contents of Zip file, then     >OPEN
iTunes takes over and imports -  Job's Done!!
    Thanks again
