Import a number of graphics in a sequence

Mac Flash CS3
The goal is a basic slide show with audio. I have about 100
graphics, sequentially named. Each one needs to get dropped onto
the stage on its own keyframe; for example, the 45th graphic will
be on the 45 keyframe which is also the 45 frame. This is taking
quite a while as I add a keyframe, drop the graphic onto the stage,
add a keyframe, drop the graphic, and so on. They are all in the
same layer.
Is there some way to do these all at once? Frankly I'm about
done with this set anyway, but I'll be doing this more later
on.

Yes - just import the 1st file - flash detects the sequence
and prompts you to import tham all. You
were so close! I am surprised you didn't stumble upon this.
maybe they aren't named correctly?

Within Europe (the European Community) this field represents the material grouping that is provided by the authorities to report the intra-communitary goods flows (INTRASTAT).

Supplementary customs declaration and Import code number

Hi guys,
I've a question from my colleagues from export/import...
They are working with the Supplementary customs declaration. Now it can happen that the Import code number change in the time when starting with the declaration and until sending it to the customs authority. So it can happen, that the "old" number is still in the document.
Custom authority say, that we have to send it with the new number. But also if you're in change mode in the Supplementary customs declaration it isn't possible to change the Import code number.
Any idea?

How do I get FCP to count the number of cuts in my sequence?

Can anyone help me with this? Is there a command or short cut to getting FCP to count the number of cuts in my sequence? I've edited together a 75 minute film, and I need to find out how many cuts there are in it, and short of doing it manually (which would take forever), I'm at a loss for a solution. Thanks so much!

Thanks for the answer. I did that, but a couple of master clips showed up in the bin, that I wasn't using in the movie. Not at a lot, maybe 10-20 out of almost a 1000. Then I found a better way. I pasted the whole film into a new sequence, removed all sound and text, so it left only the video clips, and I also tried as much as possible to group all the clips on the V1 track of the timeline, and then I selected show item properties (with the whole sequence highlighted) and FCP shows a warning to the effect: "Can only show the first 100 clips out of ???, in my case it was 963.

Commodity / Import Code Number

Hello Friends,
Is there any way we can enter the Import code number with an enduser transaction. I know there is a provision to enter from SPRO.
I am also aware of the method thru VI94, but is there any way we can enter just one Import code with easy access transaction..

You mean to say, there is no way an end user can enter the commodity code for foreign trade ? (HSN).
This means it has to be done in IMG ? (with authorization for T Code OMG1)

Standard report which importe personnel number from one server to other

Dear Hcm Gurus.
Is any standard report exist in SAP Which imports Personnel number from one server to other server which are maintained in Source server ,imported all contents maintained in source server.
e.g An employee is hired in u201C Server Au201D and personnel number is generated internally while we want to imports same employee data with same personnel number in Server u201CBu201D
IS it possible ? if is kindly do help and clarify any standard report which import complete data from one server to other server with all its infotypes.

Hi,
a standard way should be setting up an ALE scenario between the two systems to transfer employee data and keep them updated. This needs a bit more set up than a single report to be run but it is a common way to create HR landscapes where different local HR systems consolidate data to a centralized system.
The other options are valid, too. But I know them more for transfering data for test or validation reasons.
If you could add some more information to the business background of your requirement we could add give a better suggestion which solution to head for.

Imported Vectors showing up as "Vector Art Sequence" Not "Vector Art"

I am using After Effects CS6
I recently imported a few Illustrator files into a composition in After effects for a project. I Imported them as a composition so I can use the different layers in the document. The files for one of the documents are Vector Art, but the other ones have come in as Vector Art Sequences. I'm not sure the difference between the two. I read on the forums that it has something to do with the "forcing alphabetical order" option box. I have made sure that this is not checked and have tried all the options for importing a compostion, still no luck.
Is it something that needs to be done to the Illustrator file itself? Or am I doing some incorrectly. Also, I would like to understand the difference between Vector Art files and Vector Art Sequences. All I know is that both can be continuously rasterized, so it doesn't seem to be jeopardizing my project.

You had enabled the "Sequence"check box at one point. Simply use File --> Repalce Footage and load the files again with correct options.

Importing large number of images still broken in Lightroom 1.1

It's deja-vu all over again :(
Clean XP SP2 install, clean LR 1.1 install, new library
Core 2 Duo, 4GB RAM, almost 2TB disk space
28,000 RAW images from Canon 10D, 1D Mark II and 1Ds Mark II
I have a 30" screen so I set my library to: high quality previews, 2048 pixels high, never drop 1:1 previews, automatically export to xmp
I have tried importing the whole lot, tried a subset of a few thousand images, same result.
I always import in place.
If I try importing images without generating standard sized previews it always completes, my library ends up being about 330MB, the Catalog Previews.lrdata directory contains roughly the number of files that were imported. So far so good. I've tried compacting the library at this point, it didn't make a difference. After importing lightroom just goes to 50% CPU and stays there for hours. Eventually it goes down to 0%. But then it refuses to open any files at 1:1 (it just shows 'Loading...', waited for half an hour for ONE images, no change), if I try to prerender 1:1 previews it takes several MINUTES PER IMAGE (no disk activity to speak of, CPU busy) and the supposedly prerendered images have the same 'Loading...' problem.
If I try importing images and generate standard sized previews I notice that after about 1000 files get added to the 'Catalog Previews.lrdata' directory it stops growing, new directories keep getting added but they're empty (this is on a drive with 400GB free...). Trying to open any of the imported files seems to work but after looking at two or three I get a red, up-side-down 'Out of memory - A2' error.
Has ANYONE been able to build a new library with a non-trivial number of images AND generate previews?
If anyone from Adobe is reading this, and cares, please reply and let me know how to proceed. I'm a software engineer, I have debugging tools, please work with me. I really, really, really want Lightroom to work for me.

Sorry to report, but I built my catalog [library in 1.0] with 21,000 images and it went smooth as silk. My conversion to 1.1 was fast and smooth, all of the library became a catalog.
I have been paring down my catalog, removing bad photos and dups with no problem. No freezes, no out of memory errors, no crashes. I will admit that I had a couple of OOMs and occasional crash before 1.1, but those went away with the addition of the second pagefile on second HDD.
Do I know what actually caused the fixes, not really. I used the "fix everything" approach. Somewhere along the line, something clicked I expect, but I had no serious problems even in the beginning.
I now have 13800+ images and I import from an external USB card reader, then import into LR from HDD, then convert to DNG inside of LR.
-Core 2 Duo 6600,
-XP Pro SP2 with all updates after SP2 was issued,
-2 HDDs, SATA,
-2 pagefiles-one on each HDD at 1.5 x RAM [2GB],
-nVidia 7600GT video card with 256MB,
-Windows kernel resident in RAM,
-system optimized for applications-not cache,
-remote Logitech mouse,
-Microsoft keyboard,
-19" CTL 9GX LCD monitor [3 years old],
-monitor calibrated with Pantone Color Plus 1.1.

Converting 180 imported images in AE CC to image sequences that reside in same folder as stills.

I have 180 imported stills in a composition. I have corresponding image sequences that I want to convert each still to. The stills are named "x-00001.jpg", and the other parts of the image sequence are in the same directory. How do I get AE CC to make the leap to find the rest of each image sequence aside from manually using "Replace Footage" with each image to check the image sequence box?

Your workflow is flawed when you put your placeholder images and your image sequences in the same folder. Each image sequence should be in a separate folder and should be imported as an image sequence. The frame rate of the imported image sequences is set in Preferences before an image sequence is imported or changed with File>Interpret Footage.
If your placeholder is a still image and you have an image sequence in a different folder you can use the Replace Footage command and it will bring replace a still with an image sequence if you make sure to check the image sequence button before you press Open.
You can also convert your image sequences to Movies using QuickTime and easily wrap them in a .mov container. This eliminates the necessity of checking the image sequence box when replacing footage.
Writing a script to do this would require that you either pause the script to choose the folder with the image sequence or that you script every folder and the placeholder so it would be easier just to go through the composition and replace footage.

Importing web pages as graphics

I'm trying to import a webpage into a sequence montage. I can't
seem to figure out a way to turn the page into a "snapshot" to then import
as a .jpg or .tiff into FCP.
Any suggestions?

My approach would probably be to copy and paste the relevant parts of the article into the text generator, use a traditional print font such as Times (if it works with your piece) to emphasise the "newspaper/journalism" aspect and highlight key phrases rather than quote verbatim.
Keep the focus on the picture and narrative -your v/o can read the whole thing if she has to, let the supered text use the key phrases to reinforce the point.
Then again, I have been wrong before...

Price break up lines import - Line number getting updated

Hi All,
I am importing price breakup shipment lines for Blanket agreements.
I need to update the effective from date and to date for the existing line (Update)
And should create a new break up line with some updated prices.
This process is getting imported fine, but for the line which need update of dates, a new line num is getting updated. I mean if existing line is 1 after import the same line number is updated to 2. When I pass the line number to interface table, it is error out.
Finally my requirement is to import new lines with new line number(which is working fine) and Update the existing lines with keeping the line num.
Please let me know if I am not clear.

Import phone number

Dear community,
I am trying to import data regarding account and lead and I have some problems regarding phone number format. Although in the csv file I formatted the phone number based on the documentation +country code followed by space but after the import process all the phone numbers have a prefixed like 011.
Could anyone to provide a solution workaround for this issue?

Based on the selected Country the following is the correct format for importing phone numbers:
Non-US & Canadian Phone Format (+33 01 40359564)
US & Canadian Phone Format
408-555-1234
(408) 555-1234

Problem importing negative number from MSAccess

I cannot import the following currency number formats from MSAccess into a number datatype column in Oracle: ($91,000.00) or -$91,000.00. These records are rejected.
Also, I've tried to import -91,000.00, and Oracle does bring in the data BUT the minus sign is removed.
I'm using SQL*Loader with a .ctl and .dat file to perform the import.
Does anyone know how to accomplish this?

It looks like there is a format issue.
If you are trying to import into a NUMBER column in Oracle then '$' and ',' symbols are invalid. They should be removed via a TRANSLATE function in the SQL Loader .ctl file or else from the original data file created from MS Access. For example
Column_name "TRANSLATE (TRANSLATE(:column_name,'$',''),',','')",

After importing from AE, my graphic looks jerky...

I've imported a graphic into FCP from AE, which consists of some white text on a red background (a lower third kinda thing)anyway that scales over time, it looks great in AE and looks jerky and slightly soft in FCP. I assume that it has something to do with the DV codec, but is there anyway to fix this so its a bit sharper?

In render settings there is a compression format. Make sure that is set to DV/DVC Pro.
Also, future note for you, Aspect Ratio of .09 is not correct for FCP, FCP uses .091. This won't affect this issue though. You'll only see it if you're trying to match up footage.
