Import a PE project onto a PE project

Question

I have two PE projects and wish to combine them.  I am hoping someone can help if there's an easy way to do this?

As of PrE 8, there is no way to do this directly, as there is in PrPro - unfortunately.
Neale has linked to the workaround though, and it's not that difficult.
Two caveats on the Export/Share and then combine into a "master Project" however: Do not delete the original Projects (two in your case), until you are 100% certain that you have things, just as you need them.
When you are preparing your "child Projects" for Export/Share, remember that you will be generating new Assets, which will contain everything on those Timelines, and in the form they exist on those Timelines. The biggest hangup, that most encounter, is that they cut too tightly, and will also add Transitions in the child Projects. This means that you will no longer have any Handles on your Clips, and that Transitions are "set in stone." This is fine, if one is 100% certain that things are perfect and will never be changed. If one is not 100% certain, then it's best to Trim loosely, leaving more material in each Clip, than is anticipated as being needed, and also not adding any Transitions yet. Once these two Exported Files are Imported into the master Project, the scenes can then be Trimmed (one would use the Razor/Scissors to cut and then Trim) to the final Duration and Transitions can be added. When cutting & Trimming here, do not forget those Handles.
The reason for holding onto the original Projects is that if one finds they HAVE Trimmed too tightly, the easiest way to "go back," is to just work in the child Project and Export/Share again.
