in u r RPD -->Try to select import Connection Type as : XMLA then give it the URL of u r analysis services 2000 then u can able to import it.

Issue with Voyager connection to MS Analysis Services 2000

I get the following message -
Login failed.Please check that your username and password are valid.
OS - Windows 2003 server sp2
BOXI R2 - sp4
MS Analysis Services - 8.0.2039
When I set up the Voyager connection
name - test
Provider - MS OLE DB Provider for OLAP Services 8.0 (only one in the drop down)
Server type - server
server - name of the server (bo2k3test)
authentication - prompt
I then put in a uid and pwd for a user that is part of the OLAP Administrators group
Any ideas?

The username needs to be fully qualified, ie DOMAIN\Username.
So if the username is "Anne" and this is a local account on the MSAS server then you enter ".\Anne" (without the quotes).

The proble of import user by LDAP in BI Administrator tool

I can conn Ldap, but when I try to import user in the BI Administrator took, the error pop up "Not supported for Active services".

Yes, it is possible against AD - we've done it successfully.
There are a few links out there that's applicable:

Some of the snags we ran into (might be different in your case):
- If LDAP version 3 doesn't work, try 2.
- Our User attribute is sAMAccountName
You might also get a sizelimit error when trying to import users. Look at my previous post on this at Re: LDAP Authenticationj with OBIEE
Note:
Why you need to import users in your admin tool -- what purpose your importing user in your rpd?
If it is for authentication purpose - no need to import users in your rpd.
Once you have set up your LDAP details on the rpd, do not import the users.
OBI will connect to the LDAP server and complete the authentication piece.
Now to authorize, you would need an external table. Here are instruction on how to set up that:

In addition to the LDAP authentication you need to populate the GROUP variable (also shown in above link). This is where the relationship between users and groups is loaded. We can find the collation settings for Analysis services in SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). Connect to the SSAS instance from within SSMS->Right click on the instance and select Properties->An Analysis Server properties page will appear. And then
on the left hand side is a Language /collation option.

Error Starting SQL Server Analysis Services (SharePoint - Central Administration)

I am not able to start the SQL Server Analysis Services via SharePoint Central Administration but SQL Server PowerPivot System Services yes.
I then tried to start the SQL Server Analysis Services(PowerPivot) via the sql server(powerpivot), it was started but will stopped after a while. I am not sure why it happened. Can anyone helps me? I have debugged this issue for almost 2 weeks time but still

Oracle BI Administration tool - Guide

Hi all,
I have created an essbase cube using adventure works RDBMS in essbase studio.
I have deployed it to essbase server.
Now i want to create an analysis using this in my oracle BI EE.
So I have used Oracle BI Administration tool and imported that essbase. I have dropped that essabase from physical layer to presentation layer and exported to oracle bi server.
While creating analysis using this i got something like
Gen1,Product
Gen2,Product
Gen3,Product
Gen1,Geography
Gen2,Geography
in all the hierarchies. I don't know how to rename it.
Anyone can help me how to replace it. Also if you have any documentation or forum related to this please provide me?

In your scenario, you can create a
Import Analysis Services 2008 Database project to import the AS database to the project, and then change the database name following the steps below.
Right-click the project and select Properties.
Go to deployment option on the left pane.
Change the Database name.
Then deploy the project to Analysis Services server. The screenshot below are for your reference.

Cannot view data on physical layer on Oracle BI administration tool

Hi everyone
I have a schema1 and table1, table2, table3.
I have connect in odbc using the schema username and password and it was successful.
I can view the data using toad and sql oracle developer with schema username and password.
I also import the tables in Oracle BI administration tool with my schema username and password.
But my problem is i cannot view the data on the table in physical layer using my schema username and password.

Hi,
I'm confused about the last bit, you did a database import to get the tables into the RPD, which worked, but now they are not showing in the phsyical layer of the rpd? They should be there under a database with the name of the ODBC/OCI that you used when you imported them.
If they are not there then this would make me think that the import of the tables has not worked, try importing just one and see what happens.

I have a problem integrating an LDAP server in the Security Manager of the Administration tool.
When trying to import users from an LDAP Server, i receive this error>
"53002 - LDAP server referral is not supported."

The configuration of the LDAP server is correct because i receive this message after configuring the connection>
"LDAP Server connected succesfully".

Unsubscribe IP service with Bulk Administration Tool

I can subscribe IP service to IP Phone with Bulk Administration Tool, but how to unsubscribe IP service form 1000 IP phones. I cant delete IP service, because IP service is subscribe to User Device Profile. CCM version is 3.3.3.

BAT doesn't have a feature to unsubscribe/delete IP
services. It is not on the roadmap either.

Cannot connect to SQL 2000 Analysis Service cube form 32bit 2010 excel

Excel 2010 32bit is running on windows 7 64bit PC. User has new PC updated from XP where there was no connection issue.
Initial Error
"The following system error occurred: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it"
I installed Office web component 2003 as advised in forums.
Next Error
"initialization of the data source failed. Check the database server or contact your database administrator. Make sure the external database is available, and then try the operation again. If you see this message again, create a new datasource
to connect tot he database."
I have trawled the forums for the past 2 days looking for a solution. Any help would be appreciated.
