Import Aperture Adjusted Versions After Using Aperture Importer

I have used the Adobe Aperture Importer tool to migrate my Aperture Library to Lightroom. The process seemed to work well and was pretty painless. However, i did not realize initially that the adjustments don't carry over at all (I expected they would at least become exported TIF/JPG versions). So naturally I have a lot of versions in Aperture now that have none of the adjustments that were made to them.
Basically I'm wondering how exactly to proceed.
I've found the online guide for importing both the masters and exported/adjusted versions to Lightroom (http://macnn.com/rd/315385==http://landing.adobe.com/dam/downloads/whitepapers/54511.en.sw itch-from-aperture-to-lightroo…) although given that I've used the Importer, I'm kind of stuck awkwardly part way through that process.
I am creating an Aperture Smart Album with all the adjusted versions in it (that's taking a while, there's a lot). I can export those to a Year/Month/Day folder. However, given that I've already imported the masters, will the Import to Lightroom work? Will the new versions go into the same folders as the existing masters? Will I be able to pair them (ie in Stacks) with their corresponding masters? Am I going to wind up with a mess between the unadjusted versions Lightroom already imported and the new adjusted versions I'm adding to the mix?

You can probably do this a few ways.

My initial thought is that you would export the versions to a folder called Aperture Versions, with subfolders by date or however you wish.
It would make sense to test with a small number of the exported versions. Do a regular Import Photos (not the Aperture Importer tool) and choose Move in the Import dialog. Point the import's destination to the new Pictures/LightroomMasters folder (created by the Aperture Importer tool), and split the import by date. What I think will happen is that the version files will now end up in the same folders as the corresponding masters, and then you'll be able to stack them too.
Does this seem clear? I've not tested it, and I've assumed you selected default options in the Aperture Importer tool (my steps would be different if you set some options). You should back up your LR catalogue before trying it.

Do make sure that you have a suitable back up before deleting tracks from your computer. Read this https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-4112.
Updating to the latest version will not wipe itunes match music and you will not need to start all over. It is not usual for updates to cause problems but it alway good practice to maintain a back of all your music.

Running Fireworks CS4 Trial Version after Using CS4 beta

I tried out the Fireworks CS4 beta some months ago, but after
getting tired of all the bugs, I uninstalled it and decided to wait
for the released Trial Version. I downloaded that today and
installed it, but when I try to run it I get a message that says
"The license for this product has expired." and then it quits,
never fully loading. I'm guessing this has something to do with the
CS4 beta I had previously installed and uninstalled. Perhaps I
didn't uninstall it properly, but now I need to know how to move
forward so I can give the release version of Fireworks CS4 and
proper evaluation.
Any ideas on how I can get the CS4 Trial Version
running?

Uninstall the trial.
Then dl/run the clean up script here

Aperture 2.0 Activation Key does not work after using older trial version

I was using the installed trial version of Aperture 1.5+ in my recently purchased MacBook Pro Duo (December 2007). After using the trial version for 30 days I debated whether to take the plunge ...and then within a few days recieved word that v2.0 was out at 199$. That motivated me ...however, here I am nearly one week later without ability to activate a full blown version of 2.0.
I recieved the activation key, but it doesn't accept it in the dialog to upgrade in the trial version. Hint seems to be that it is not a serial number I am entering but an activation key.
I did not order a boxed version, so what do I do now? Support is not too helpful as I have searched Apple's website and have no clue as to where to go.
Last resort ... I want my $199 back!

Aperture changing pixel size after using Retouch/Repair/Clone tool?

I apologize if this is a stupid question - I'm new to using Aperture and have a rudimentary knowledge (at best) about the mechanics of Aperture.
I use the retouch tool on a portion of my photo, and the pixel size is reduced. I want to maintain the original 12.0megapixels. How do I work with the photo without changing the pixel size - or, how can I restore the orginal pixel size after editing the photo?
I've also cropped the photo, constraining the aspect ratio at 4:5.

Sure - Here is a sample image. It is not a RAW file. It appears to be happening in every image in the library. I made a new library and it appears to be happening in the same pattern. I'm in Aperture, opened a photo which was imported directly into Aperture from camera.
Now, I'm going to crop to 4:5 ratio - from what I'm hearing, crop should not effect the 12.0 mp?

4) When my computer crashes, once it starts again, it says "repairing" ... but I am not familiar with reparing permissions -- can you explain how I might do that?
If you are running OS X Lion, then you can restart your computer and then press and hold the 'Option' key immediately after you hear the start up 'gong' (usually heard when grey screen shows as it restarts).
You should see at least two Disks to choose from. Choose 'Recovery Disk' and wait for it to load, then choose 'Disk Utility' option in the Utilities dialog.
Once Disk Utility loads, do the following:
1 - In the left hand pane, choose your system partition (usually called either 'Macintosh HD' or 'Macintosh SSD'). Note - don't choose the actual hard drive listed above the partition when using Disk Utility in OS X Lion as this doesn't offer options for repairing due to it including the Recovery Disk you have loaded in memory.
2 - Click the 'First Aid' tab
3 - Click the 'Repair Disk Permissions' button in lower portion of main pane and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message in main pane saying Disk Permissions are repaired.
4 - At lower right of same pane, click the 'Repair Disk' button and allow to complete. Ideally, you will get a final message indicating that Disk Repair is completed and all appears to be good.
5 - Quit Disk Utility > Close Utilities dialog window > Click 'Restart' button (confirm as needed).
You should boot straight into the system partition when complete.
Note - any red text in the main pane text while running the repairs will be issues and you will need to follow the advice given or post back.
If you are running Snow Leopard; then (as David mentions) boot from your first OS X reinstall disc and run the Disk Utility the same way; except you select the actual hard drive listed at top of left pane (not the partition below it). This is because Snow Leopard does not use a 'Recovery Disk' partition and repairs can be run on the HD or SSD itself.

No versions after import for customer objects

I have a little problem with transporting of (customer dictonary objects) and the versions.
The system enviroment is SAP ECC 6, software level
SAPKB70016
SAPKA70016
SAPKH60302
On the developer system the customer objects have versions - after transporting them to the quality system they have no versions.
On the other side SAP Objects e. g. table BSEG or BKPF have versions - in the developer and also quality system.
Its a strang thing. Normally versions will be created after import in a seperate step.
How can i check if something is wrong with versions? The parameter "vers_at_imp" is not set in the tpparam but i think that shouldn't be a matter.
Please can anybody help me - I don't believe that it will be a bug because all notes I found were for older releases.

I fond the answer. Inexplicably,some of the song tracks, the 'deepest' files in the structure, had become hidden. There was no clear pattern - most of my music files come from CDs, with a small number of legal downloads (mostly from iTunes). So although the artist and album folders were not hidden, if there were no unhidden song files in the album folder, apparently iTunes skipped the artist.
Changing the attributes of all music files to unhidden took care of everything.

Was the iPad originally set up on a different computer, and hasn't been synced to the one that you are now trying to use ? There are some instructions on this page for syncing to a new computer : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3141
(Before trying that you could copy any important files/documents off the iPad so that you have you own backup copy of them e.g. depending upon what the apps support then email them to yourself, use Dropbox, copy them to your computer via your wifi-network.)
You should be able to copy iTunes purchases off the iPad and over to that computer's iTunes via File > Devices Transfer Purchases, but if you have music from other sources (e.g. copied from CDs) which aren't in that computer's iTunes (and you haven't got a backup to copy them onto it from) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
For recovery mode, that will result in your iPad being put back to factory defaults i.e. all of your content will be removed from it

Weird blocks on image after using adjustment brush in ACR

A group of people took an online webinar yesterday. The instructor is a heavy Adjustment Brush user, in LightRoom. After taking the class, many of the students in the group are reporting the appearance of weird blocks on images, after using the Adjustment Brush - both in LR and in ACR. It is also happening to me. I am a heavy Photoshop and ACR user - never before have I seen this. The only thing I'm doing differently is using the Adjustment Brush (because of the webinar class, as it was part of the instructor's core teachings). What could be causing this?

There was an adjustment brush bug in older versions of ACR. I first reported it here, and Eric Chan acknowledged the problem. It went away in future releases. Sorry, I can't remember what version numbers were involved.

Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 and Premiere Elements 13 are standalone products.
So, you can have both on the same computer, but only open one for your work.
The classical recommendation is to finish a project in the version in which it was created since there
is no guarantee that a project from an earlier version will open in the later version. Probably will, but
no guarantees. And, when you do explore this, do it from a copy of the earlier version project. Once you
take the earlier version project into a later version one, you cannot go back to edit the later version edited
project in the earlier version program.
If you have both versions (9 and 13) on the same computer and you have not moved, deleted, renamed any of the version 9's files/folders,
right click the saved closed Premiere Elements 9.0/9.0.1 project file, select Open With, and then Adobe Premiere Elements 13.
(Your 9.0/9.0.1 saved closed project file should be found in Libraries/Documents/Adobe/Premiere Elements/9.0.)

I would love to give you more information but i cannot access that page again? i can add Lightroom to my cart but when i go into my cart it says there is nothing in there? Installing Team client after using a trial version of Indesign

When installing Team after using a trial version the cloud client won't let me install a full version of anything. All it shows is trial versions.
The Mac is successfully registered with the Team. Any ideas?

Have you assigned the seats to user by logging into the admin console. If yes please sign out and sign in back to Creative Cloud Desktop. Also check the installed application language from preferences.

All websites automatically going to Mobile versions when using safari and firefox (likely started after mavericks update) Anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Not exactly all websites but many seem to be defaulting to their Mobile versions when using my Macbook Air... this is not dependent on browser type (Safare, chrome and firefox have been tried)... this is a new problem and may have started after the Mavericks update (although I am not 100% sure about the timing).
