Import BI Query to PAS via BICA

Good day All,
We would like to import BI Queries from cube 0PCA_C01 which uses Fiscal Year/Period as the time characteristic within the BICA interface. The error message below is encountered when attempting this action. Note we would like to import data on a monthly basis for BI Queries. Latest SP 05.

" Time characteristic 0FISCPER cannot be used to derive Time in Application Server.
0CALDAY,0CALMONTH,0CALWEEK,0CALQUARTER,0CALYEAR,0FISCYEAR are acceptable but
0CALMONTH2,0CALQUART1,0FISCPER,0FISCPER3,0FISCVARNT,0HALFYEAR1,0WEEKDAY1 are not.
Please modify your Query to include an acceptable Time characteristic.
If you wish to include any unacceptable Time characteristics
in the Application Server model, you can IMPORT them as dimensions by using the keywords
INCLUDING FISCAL on the IMPORT SCHEMA, IMPORT DIMENSION or IMPORT TIME commands."

Hi All,
I've problem with loading a BEx Query via BICS into Xcelsius. I don't realy know, how to solve this problem.
What I can do in Xcelsius:
1. I can connect to SAP BW
2. I can chose Querys
After chosing a query I get no errors, what I see is just a Loading Clock.

thank you very much for your reply. We have solved this problem by restarting our systems (ABAP and JAVA-Stack).
Than we installed thy latest patches and now I can work with my Queries.
But I have noticed your advices for the future

#UNAVAILABLE in WebI with BEx Query via BICS over ECC

dear all
i have a very simple problem to explain.
when i try to use =Month([Flight date]) function, my key figure returns #UNAVAILABLE
that's it !
of course, without the function, the key figures are good, but i get every darn date, but that is not what i want. i want to sum up the amounts for each of the months.
when responding, please be mindful that there is no universe here, as it is via BICS.

it is a date field, in fact it is a time dimension. so no problems there, but i tried this to test
=ToDate([Flight date];"dd/mm/yyyy")
this function works but does not help my scenario as i already have the full date and it did not group at all, but the interesting thing here, is that i lost my measure to #UNAVAILABLE.
i thought i would try
=ToDate([Flight date];"mm/yyyy")
which gave #ERROR in the field and still #UNAVAILABLE in the measure. i guess you must have the "d" in there somewhere.
i then tried to proove the [Flight date] is recognized as a date by doing
=IsDate([Flight date])
the records came back with 1, which proves they are recognized as a date. so i cannot use subst as it requires a string. but this is going down the wrong path anyway.
then i tried
=FormatDate([Flight date];"mmm/yyyy")
which does this Apr/2011 for example, goes near and will do what I want to achive, but yet again the measure is #UNAVAILABLE again.
it seems that it just does not work.

I can get my grouping to work if I create a Month field in the source, and outside WebI, but i don't really want to do that. I want the variable webi dimension to work as it should, or i believe it should

Necesitas compar el programa de RT de National Instruments para hacer cualquier cosa en tiempo real o determinatistico como le acostrumbran llamar. La plataforma que uses no imporata. El sistema de desarrollo es el mismo en cualquier plataforma.

I have been trying to import VHS video into iMovie via a Hollywood Dazzle bridge. Did not have trouble until I upgraded to mavericks. I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, iMovie 10.0.2. Says it is recording, but when I go to check, it says the file is empty.

I have a mac book pro, 10.9.1, (mavericks), iMovie 10.0.2. Everything in iMovie looks like it is working. It reads "recording" in the upper left hand corner of the pane while the video is playing. When I stop the process to check on my clip it says that the file is empty. The only thing that has changed since I did it successfully is that I upgraded to mavericks from whatever I had previously. My system is about one year old. Any suggestions?

     Thanks for your help! I was able to go to iMovie 9.0.9 and import video. I was still curious as to why it didn't work in version 10.0.2, so I contacted Apple tech support. They were't sure at first as to why it wouldn't work, so they had me delete iMovie 10.0.2 and then re-install it just to see if something had gone wrong when it upgraded. That didn't change anything. In the end, they determined that 10.0.2 doesn't support the Hollywood Dazzle DV bridge. But I have a workaround path from them that I will share so that it's possible to import to 9.0.9, then move it to 10.0.2.
     1. Open iMovie 9 (finder/applications/iMovie 9.0.9
     2. Import from Dazzle Bridge to iMovie 9, note which event you are importing the clips into
     3. Close iMovie 9
     4. Open iMovie 10 (probably in the dock)
     5. File/Import Media...navigate to home(this was my name, on the left side of iMovie, under Favorites)/Movies/iMovie events. Find the event folder that contains your Dazzle clips (tip-try sorting by date modified to look at recent events.)
     6. Select the clips and import. Click the blue "Import Selected" button on the bottom right.
You may get a message that some files cannot be imported. Click continue import. It's a little glitchy. It imports your clip, and also makes a copy of it, too. On the copy, the audio is normal, but the video is choppy. In any case, you would delete the copy, anyway.

Getting error while import the query in quality server

I am transporting the user group, infoset and query from development system to quality system and i am able to export it successfully but at the time of import from quality system i am getting the error .
please find the attached description of error-
Query z_it0023 of user group HR_CPC (Import option replace)
compare query z_it0023/ HR_CPC <-> Infoset ZHR_REPORT : Field p0002-ZMIDNM is missing
Import fro query Z_IT0023 / HR_CPC cancelled RC = 08.
I am not getting why this error is occur as field P0002-ZMIDNM is alreday present in the infotype and in infoset both.
Please some one help me out , it would be great help for me.

Hi Khush,
You need to check whether the field 'p0002-ZMIDNM' is part of an append structure or include structure. If yes then ensure that the main request for the append/include structure for table P0002 is transported first. If the same has been saved as a local request, then, convert the developments to a request and assign a package to it. Transport the changes to table P0002 and then this request.

Okay, as I'm working through this I see that I have to add the "Admin" account to each file with "read only" permission. Simply changing the "everyone" account access does nothing.
So how do I change the permissions settings in iPhoto or Aperture to give each exported file the desired permissions? I cannot locate a setting in the iPhoto or Aperture applications.
Also, I added a password to the user account. It did not change how files are output.

If you are using a flash card, as opposed to an SD card, then I assume that you are using a third-party card reader with the kit ? If so what error, if any, are you getting e.g. a 'requires too much power' error ?
Also how are the photos getting onto the card ? If you are adding them yoursefly then you need to create a DCIM directory off the root of the card, with the photos underneath it, and the photo filenames need to be exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension i.e. in a similar format as if a camera had created/written them

FCE 4.0.1 can only capture DV/HDV which is produced by cameras using Mini-DV TAPES and cameras shooting AVCHD which is a high definition format.
If your camera shoots standard definition on Memory Cards, DVDs or Hard Drives it will not work in FCE.
What is your camera's exact model name and number?

Export & import of query (SQ01/SQ02/SQ03)

Hi,
If you dont want to create any transport request number then you need to download/upload the query instead of import/export.
Please follow the below steps for downloading/uploading the query
(Go to the system from where you wnat to export the query)
1. Goto transaction SQ02.
2. Click on ' Transports' icon (CTRL+F3).
3. In 'Transport action' select 'Download'.
4. Select 4th radio button 'Transport Queris'.
5. Enter the name your user group and query and click on execute.
6. Give the file name and location where you want to save the query backup and click on save.
(Now goto the system where you want to import your query)
1. Goto SQ02 and click on 'Transports' .
2. In 'Transport action' select 'Upload' and click on execute.
3. Enter/select the name of the file which you have downloaded before and click open.

Send query's result via SMS (BW3.0b)

we need to send query's results via sms.
We're going to use reporting agent (we configured an exception in bex and created a follow up action).
Now I can only send a SAP office message.
In order to send a sms, could you help me to understand which are the necessary configuration?
It is enough configure adequately users?? Is any configuration on the system needed?
Is any additional component needed? we're working on a BW 3.0B release.

Another way. You can use a USB flash drive & the camera connection kit.
Plug the USB flash drive into your computer & create a new folder titled DCIM. Then put your movie/photo files into the folder. The files must have a filename with exactly 8 characters long (no spaces) plus the file extension (i.e., my-movie.mov; DSCN0164.jpg).
Now plug the flash drive into the iPad using the camera connection kit. Open the Photos app, the movie/photo files should appear & you can import. (You can not export using the camera connection kit.)

Importing a query from BW to BO Universe

Hi all,
I have few questions about Universe designer.
1) If i have about 40 queries, that are performing good, and created in Bex query designer.
If i have to migrate this queries to BO, what should be the best way.
A) To Import the whole cube in to universe b) to Import just the queries to Universe.
2) When i import a query to the Universe, it is bringing all query elements, except The fiscal year,.
In the above case do i have manually modify the universe, if yes how would i map the newly created values to fiscal year on BW side.
