Hi All
im importing buisness partner master data through DTW.Please list esntial templates of buisness partner and is it necessary to fill the all fields of such templetes?

All templates are available under oBusinessPartners DTW folder
Main ones are the following
BusinessPartners.xlt
BPAddresses.xlt
ContactEmployees.xlt
There are atleast 50 threads on the Forum where this has been explained...Please search the forum first going forward

Error while Importing Vendor Master records

I get the following error when importing vendor Master records into the MDM repositorry
Cannot import qualifiers because the qualified lookup field is not mapped.
I noticed that the file I'm importing contains 1000 vendors. However the qualified lookup table "PHONE" for the vendors contain only 388 records.
After I imported the records I found that there was only 389 records in the repository.
I'm using standard map provided by SAP.
I ran the import again but this time I unmapped all fields for the qualified update.
Now the Import Manager uploaded the remaining 613 records.
I would like to know whether how I can load 1000 records in one load rather than having to go through the file twice.
This is important since I want to use the import manager server for my loads.

Hi Manoj,
Try the following options.
1. In the Import Manager, Select Configuration->Options
set <b>"Merge qualified links using matching qualifiers value to Off"</b>
2. In the Map Fields/Values tab in Import manager, select the qualified field in which you are trying to import, right clik on the field->select Set Qualified Update -> Update -> Select All available qualifiers into Matching qualifiers->
New Links- Create
Existing Links -> Update (All Mapped Qualifiers).

Error while importing Item MAster Data using DTW

Hi,
when we are importing item master data using items template
it is giving error.
Error:":connected value 1 was not found "
can any one send the oitems template that is working fine wthout any error.

You cannot import data prepration templates>>Testcase1_Test Data for Import function>Oitems directly.
You will have to do certain prerequisites like setting CommissionGroup, CommissionPercent, CommissionSum,CustomsGroupCode etc., in SAP before importing Items.
So I would like you to try out with minimum fields in the template and import. After understanding, you can import the required fields.
I suggest you to use the template from "C:\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Templates\oItems"

Error while importing Item Master data through DTW

Hi Sandy,
Kindly follow the check list
1. Right Click DTW and run it as Administrator.
2. Is your DTW version is same as SAP B1.
3. Uninstall and re-install DTW.
4. If you are using 64-bit DTW, try to use 32-bit one.
5. Check the Template, is it of the same DTW version.
6. Remove all the unnecessary columns.
7. Last try different Template extension.. (e.g: CSV (Comma delimited), or Text (Tab delimited))

Error importing vendor master data from ERP

Hi experts,
currently we are trying to import vendor master data from ERP to SAP Sourcing 9.
We exported the data in an XML file by using the transaction BBP_ES_MAST_DOWNLOAD.
We already imported all the dependencies like vendor account group, purchase org, regions etc. successfully.
However, every time we are trying to import the vendor data we receive the same result:

Hello Johannes,
This looks to come from a custom script in your system.
Go to Setup > Script Definition and check all scripts defined on class "Supplier" (starting with those on context: Import Lifecycle Event).
Search for a script that starts with "throw doc.createApplicationException(test..."

Importing Bank Master Data in AP

Hi,
We have a requiremnet at client to import Bank Master data. As we don't have a standard interface to do that in AP,I would appreciate if anyone can let me know information on this.Any of you have done this before please share your experiences on this like flat file structure, mandatory fields ...etc

I haven't tried the MDM Import manager..but I solved it with LSMW. I created a recording for one record entry, then I specified the rest of the data in a text file, and passed it to LSMW..It worked (almost) perfectly!

Bank problem while importing BP master data

im importing BP master data.before importing i've given 3 banks in the system.now in temp for
house bank and default bank i've given "-1".
error is [OCRD.BankCode]Application-defined or object-defined error65171

first off all please try to import BP master data without the define bank in to template... is that upload or no...
once BP upload into the system.
then upload the bank with the BP Code and update the master data through DTW....

Error in DTW while importing Employee master

While importing employee master data the following error is displaying
The field is too small to accept the dataoemployeesinfo. can anybody help wht this error stats.

Hi,
it means that the data you input into column or field dataoemployeesinfo are exceeding the maximum amount of characters allowed in the column. To know the maximum amount of character of the column , you could activate system information while you are in the emplyoee master data screen, you could see the field name and the field maximum size.
Another way is to use SDK help file.

GRC 10 Role Import error(Master role does not exist) in SP12

Hi,
We have completed connectors part and ran sync jobs successfully.
We have given required inputs in Define Criteria,Select Role Data in Role Import.When we submit this,only few roles are successfully imported.
It is giving error like Master role does not exist(some roles) but it is successful for few other roles.
We have tried with SKIP option in role authorization source as per a note but it is not successful for all the role import and getting above mentioned error.
Please check and advice.

Have you confirmed in SAP that your ZM* roles are definitely imparting roles only? When you tried to upload them on second attempt, did you relaunch the the role import screen to ensure any buffering completely cleared?
Another thing to try - import the master role and then exit NWBC and run the repository synch job. Go back to NWBC and attempt to import the derived roles to see if error is gone?
If these don't work for you it may be time to contact SAP. I assume it was the following note you referred to: 1576321 - Import derived role without master role
Also, this topic was raised in SCN last year (unfortunately the thread was not updated with the solution). Possibly reach to the thread owner and see if they will login to SCN and update it Role import failed with Master role does not exist in SP13

DTW can not import BP Master Address tab (default)

Hi, all
I have some problem using DTW import BP master.
I want to import default Bill to and ship to by BusinessPartners.txt (template).
After doing import, although there is no error, Address tab has no data.
(any other information can be imported)
I really wonder why I can not do that because I can do it before....
For example,
BilltoDefault, Address, City, BilltoState, Country, and
ShiptoDefault, MailAddress, MailCity, and so on..
The reason why I don't want use BPAddresses template is each of Bil to and Ship to address are only 1.
Version is 2005B PL39 and PL41.

Hi Kaori,
Check OCRD table all the data including address you migrated are there. If there then enter some text in the BilltoDefault field and try to import the BP CSV for all the records (any text need not be unique for each record).

Can you import a master from one Muse file to another?

I've got upload space through Comcast, and my homepage and other material are there. (home.comcast.net/~gregfisk/)
But I have another site that I uploaded there through Dreamweaver a year ago. I'd like to update it with Muse. (www.caption-ator.com)
But the thing with Muse is, when it exports a site to HTML, it defualts the home page to 'index.html'. In this case, the caption-ator site info (made with muse) would over-write my main web page. The same goes for any files that share the same file name, like 'site global.css', and 'sitemap.xml'.
So I guess I should take the site info from the caption-ator Muse file, and rebuild it in my personal web page. So there will (theoretically) be no conflicts in the file names, and can all be uploaded safely.
Rather than rebuild the whole Caption-ator muse built site in the Muse file for my personal web page - is there any way to take a Master page from one Muse file, and import it to another? That would be a HUGE time saver. My first instinct would be to take the Muse tab for my personal web page, and the Muse tab for the Caption-ator web page, then drag and drop the Master from the Caption-ator page to the personal web page. But Muse doesn't seem to allow for tabs to be kept separate like that.
Any advice is apprecaited.

If you still have the .muse file for the template you want you can open it up in Muse 'Select All' --> Copy.
Open your destination blank template and paste it. You can have bothe muse files up in Muse at the same time.

Export and import user master records

Hi,
We are planning for system refresh activity. So I am planning Production server data to copy in Quality server. I want retain Quality server users like that only. Is there any way I can export user master records and import it later?
Please advice us.
Our environment is 4.6 C, Oracle 10g, windows 2003 server.

Hello Satyanarayana,
please be aware, that with SAP_USER standard change logs are not copied. So if you have such in your QAS, they will be propably overwritten by the PRD content. You will loose then change logs for role changes, which are kept in the standard change documents (cdpos,cdhdr).
User change docs are copied together with the users with provfile SAP_USER.
That is just for your information. In general there will not be change documents for roles in QAS.....

Export and Import of master repository - error snpuser not found

We had installed ODI on a windows server and created physicla and logical topologies etc and developed some models and projects.
But we had sone all of this while still pointing to the demo master repository using the HypersonicSQL. This means we always have to have the 'Start Demo Agent' running etc.
So we wanted to move to an Oracle based master repository. I have used the 'Create Master Repository' function to create a new repository using ORacle thinnet driver and this is all OK and I can sign in to the SUPERVISOR user.
But when I export our existing repository from the 'HypersonocSQL' demo one to a ZIP file and then use the 'Import Master Repository' to create a master repository in the Oracle using thinnet driver etc - firstly it removes the repository details that I originally created - fair enough - then creates it all again but from the ZIP file.
The SNP_ tables all exist in the oracle database user and I can see that in SNP_USER there is the record for SUPERVISOR etc.
But when I try to sign in to this through topology manager or security manager - as SUPERVISOR I immediately get the error 'SNPUser does not exist'
Am I doing something wrong with exporting my 'demo' master repository and trying to import it in to the new Oracle repository ?

thanks - but that is effectivley what I did - used the repository import from my exported ZIP file - and it all imported OK - but the error on login to topology manager afterwards is that the snp user does not exist.
Although I initially used the 'Master Repository Creation' I then adaondoned this - dropped and recreated my Oracle user 'snpm' that owns the master repository and used the import repository approach.
I am trying to sign in as the standard SUPERVISOR user (that existed OK in the Hypersonic master repository that was exported to the ZIP file) and also trying other users that I know existed in the Hypersonic reporitory that I exported - same problem. I can see in Oracle SQL*Plus that in the SNP_USERS table the SUPERVISOR user exists.
If I do instead carry out a standard 'Create Master Repository' and do NOT try to import anything then it works OK and I can sign in to the Topology Manager as SUPERVISOR.

Import Employee master data template -DTW

I want to import a full list of employee master data with an employee id starts from 501 sequence .

there is "EmployeesInfo.xlt" file
as per my knowledge u can't append the records, if u want from 501 seq. then make a sheet in which entire records above 501 and after 501...
when u run DTW choose "Import " option don't choose update...
by this way u can update entire Emp. data

How to import only master files from iPhoto

Hi,
When I import an event or an album in Aperture from iPhoto, both the master and the corrected file are imported as a stack. But I would like in fact to have only the master file and rework (if necessary) the changes into aperture versioning system.
So, is it possible (I do not see how) when importing to tell Aperture to import only the master?
Otherwise, is it possible to ask Aperture to delete the corrected version only without having to do them one by one?

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Make an Alias to the Originals folder and drag the alias to the Desktop or whereever you want it.
Now when you import, in the Import dialogue choose the Alias and it will bring you directly to the Originals Folder.
Standard Warning: Don't change anything in the iPhoto Library Folder via the Finder or any other application. iPhoto depends on the structure as well as the contents of this folder. Moving things, renaming things or otherwise making changes will prevent iPhoto from working and could even cause you to damage or lose your photos.
