Import Business Partner Group

Hi,
I want to import Import Business Partner Group but there is no template in DTW(PL-42)
why it not showing ?

The Template is not available in the DTW Templates Folder. You have to manually create the template.
Steps to Create a Template Manually:
Log in to DTW and select Advaced -> Maintain Interface.
From the window, from the choose from list, select the 'oBusinessPartnerGroups'. From here select, 'BusinessPartnerGroups'
Select this and right click and select 'Create Template' .
Save the template and fill this and import.

    Hello Ranjith,
It is cool to know that Business Partner group can be imported to SAP B1 and I am sure it is possible. Yes, you can create DI template using advance option in DTW. It is funny that someone did not know that previously. So do not easy to give point for him, make sure the answer 100% correct and solve the problem we have. Doing a lot of replies and asking will waste time.
The using of template created from maintain interface from advance, e.g. business partner groups, I think you must use SDK help files as a guide how to fill the data in the field/object.
Current problem solution to your error is using bbpgt_customergroup and bbpgt_vendorgroup in the type field or column when you want to import BP customer group or vendor group.

  • Business Partner Role  and Business Partner Grouping

    Hello Everybody!
Business Partner Role  and Business Partner Grouping.
Which correlation ist between this attributes existing.
In which table are this infos stored, In order create I can use
    e.g. BUPA_CREATE_FROM_DATA
but how is the way inversely. Suppose I want to abtain the information
about a existing business partner which group he has etc.
    Regards
    sas

    Dear Sas,
Business Partner Grouping is used to determine the number ranges to be used by the business partner at the time of creation.
Business Partner Role determines the subset of all the data available to be shown and edited.
I will give you a very simple (but imaginary) example for understanding the role concept: the business partner in a role of employee might allow you to enter a department id. So this field should be available to you for input when you edit the business partner in the role of employee. But suppose the same business partner is also a person who is your customer. And your customer will require a default payment term. So this field should be available for input when you edit the business partner in the role of a customer. Also, some applications use these roles to determine if the business partner is suitable for particular transaction. In the above example, Payroll application will only allow those Business Partner to be used if they are maintained as an employee. Similarly the sales application can mandate that you can only sell a product to a business partner if he is maintain in a 'customer' role.
Please understand the example above is not real but given for the understanding of the concept of role.
You can use the function module 'BUPA_CENTRAL_GET_DETAIL' to find the business partner group. And you can use the function 'BUPA_ROLES_GET' to find the role assigned to a Business Partner.

  • Organisation management or business partner groups

    Hi,
we are using the change request management in the SAP solution manager. All relevant persons are modelled as business partners.
As we want to use our organisation management (from our SAP-HCM-System) to build the organizational structure of our company.
Does anybody synchronized the organisational structure or would be to create business partner groups the better way, because only some departments are using the crm.
Thanks for any hints and reported experiences.
    Kind regards
    Peter Lintner

Synchronization with HR can of course be done. But if you don't need so complex organization on crm side or even what to have it a bit different, then you can build on crm organization from scratch. That's what we did.

  • DTW Import Business Partner

    Business One 2005A SP01, Patch 29
    DTW 2005.0.17
    API version 6.80.319
I'm a newbie. Now that's out of the way.
Can anyone tell me in general, how does one determine what are the required fields and data types for a DTW destination? This ETL tool is very different from any I've ever used before in that the destination fields in the interface change based on the import data provided. I'm used to those being constant, with required fields and their datatypes clearly defined.
Currently I am trying to import Business Partners, all customers via ODBC. I provided data for the following BP fields:
    RecordKey                 1
    CardCode                  '1001'
    CardName                  'Company One'
    CardType                  'cCustomer'
    DefaultAccount           '_SYS00000001'
    GroupCode                 2
    PayTermsGrpCode      3
The error log tells me all of my records fail for the following reason: [OCRD:BankCode]Application-defined or object-defined error oBusinessPartners.
I assumed the required bank info had to do with with where I deposit payments from these customers. So I mapped data for BPBankAccounts. Every record is the same except for the RecordKey.
    RecordKey    AccountNo    BankCode
    1                   123              'My Bank'
    2                   123              'My Bank'
Now The records load, but I've got bank info on the Payment Terms tab, not the Payment System tab. So my fix made my error go away, but the data are wrong. I don't want to have to import fake customer bank data just to get around this error. What does DTW really want?

Thank you for your comments about the bank/payment tabs.
I've since discovered my real problem with DTW is that the error messages are frequently spurious. I don't know if this is a bigger problem because I am using ODBC rather than flat files.
I was only dragging in banking info because I had received the error message ' [OCRD.BankCode]Application-defined or object-defined error65171'. After I rebooted, I din't get this error any more and could load BPs without any banking info at all.
Likewise, I was having trouble with addresses and was receiving messages like
'[OCRD.State2] , 'The connected value 'MI' was not found in table States'Application-defined or object-defined erroroBusinessPartners'. This was a US customer. I am in the US and this IS a defined state.
What I've learned from this expereince is not to trust DTW error messages.

  • What is Buisness partner group hierarchy in sap crm

    Hi,
what is Buisness partner group hierarchy, what is the importence of this in sap crm
i wanted to know the detailed documentation for Buisness partner group hierarchy
    Thanks&Regards
    kishore kumar

    hi there
what you are saying as Business Partner Group hierarchy is actually the account hierarchy inside the BP which can be created using the Bp groups
here it is what it is and why its important
    Account Hierarchies
    Use
The account hierarchy allows you to map complex organizational structures of a business partner (for example, buying group, co-operative or chain of retail outlets).
When you create a hierarchy structure, you form groups of business partners (for example, for purchasing groups). You can use them for statistical purposes and for marketing analyses.
You can use the hierarchy for pricing. Pricing is carried out using conditions such as pricing arrangements that are stored at a higher level of an organizational structure and can be transferred to the lower levels.
    Integration
You can transfer a customer hierarchy from SAP ECC to the account hierarchy in SAP CRM.
For more information, see Replicating ERP Customer Hierarchies to SAP CRM.
You can also exchange the account hierarchy with CRM Mobile Client.
    Features
With the help of business partner groups, you can create hierarchy nodes in order to construct a hierarchy structure. For this purpose, the type of hierarchy is first determined based on the hierarchy category.
Hierarchy structures that are created in CRM Enterprise are sales area-independent.
The condition maintenance for pricing is integrated in the account hierarchy maintenance function.

  • DTW Business Partner Properities (QryGroup1)

    Hi
I am attempting to test importing Business Partner Properties but keep getting an error.  The error is:
    "is not a valid value for field 'QryGroup1'.  The valid values are: 'Y' - 'Yes', 'N' - 'No'Application-defined or object-defined error65171
Now I have tried every combination of Y, N, Yes, No and cannot get the data to import.  Am I missing an enumerator or something?
    Appreciate your help
    Andrew

    Hi Andrew,
Since the 2005A version of SBO, the DTW uses the same enumerations as the SDK. This means that a simple Y/N field needs to be set to either tYES or tNO (pretty confusing huh! ).
These enumerations can be found in the SDK HelpCenter documentation (under the DI API reference section). The SDK can be installed from your SBO CD or from a full patch (eg 2005A SP1 Patch 10).
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

    Regards,

    Hi Nazrul,
I would kindly ask you to check the following customizing settings:
    customizing:
    Real Estate
    Partner Data
    Controlling Business Partner Maintenance
    Assign Role Category to Application
    Applicat. cat.  0031
    Role category   0640
    Which grouping is assigned here?
    then please check if in:
BP Grouping: Assign Number Range, Account Group
a number range is defined for the grouping assigned above.
    Hope this helps.

  • FM to create business partner in dialog from address

    Hello gurus,
anyone got an idea how to create a business partner in dialog mode and provide a given address as default. I already checked several function modules / BAPIs, but I couldn't find one that provides this functionality.
Would be great if someone has a hint!
    Thanks in advance,
    Alej

    Hi,
    Try this BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA2
With this method you can create business partners in selected business partner roles (BP roles).
You can create business partners of the category person, organization, or group, enter relevant general data, and control the number assignment using business partner grouping.
You can also enter an address including data for address-dependent and address-independent communication methods.
For more info on BAPI_BUPA_FS_CREATE_FROM_DATA2 [click here.|http://www.se80.co.uk/sapfms/b/bapi/bapi_bupa_fs_create_from_data2.htm]
    Try this also BAPI_BUSPARTNER_CREATE
    [Click here |http://www.se80.co.uk/sapfms/b/bapi/bapi_buspartner_create.htm]for more info.

  • MDM Business Partner 5.5 Not Creating Customer Master in SAP ECC

    Hi,
I am importing Business Partner into ECC from MDM using XI with BP Business Content. This is done using proxy.
The business partner is created sucessfully but the customer master table KNA1, KNB1 is not being populated.
Does anyone experienced this before? Or has a solution for this?

I am not creating customer in ECC. I am creating Business Partner,  this is because we are using IS-U which uses the BP instead of the Customer Master.
So we are using the MDM BuPa to ABAP BuPa mapping.
The thing about this is, when we run the transaction BP to create Business Partner, it automatically creates a mirror KNA1 record to match the business partner. But through MDM-XI proxy, it is not creating the record.
