Import can't find edited jpgs
Hi, I'm a new user to LR3, so maybe I'm missing something really obvious.
I'm using Mac OSX 10.6.4.
I imported RAW images off my CF card to the destination folder, made most of my edits in LR3, then opened a few images for further work in Photoshop Elements. I then saved those images as jpgs in the same folder.
I go back to LR3 to try to add those images to the catalog but I can't find them in the source folder.
When I go to Finder, they're right there.
I try dragging the images from finder into the library, and it brings up the import screen, but still no jpgs.
Any help on what I'm doing wrong here?
If you have "Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separate photos" unchecked in your preferences, then you won't see JPEGs in the import if they carry the same base name as a Raw photo already in your catalog, because they would be sidecars only.
But why do you call PSE from outside LR and not as an external editor? This way, LR would build a TIFF for you, pass it to PSE and upon return from PSE you would have the TIFF in your catalog without import (and stacked to your original if desired).

Under "show package contents," where can I find edited photos from Photos app?
Hi everyone!
I'm getting used to the new Photos app on Mac. In the Finder, under "Show Package Contents" (from the Photos library) I am able to see a folder titled "Masters" which has all of the original photos that I import into the Photos library.
I edited some of these photos in the Photos app, and put them into an album. Where, under "Show Package Contents" can I find the edited photos in this album? I looked in all the subfolders but can't seem to find them.

How can i find/edit/delete login username and passwords saved to my iMac?
i thought it might be under keychain but when i help search keychain, nothing is found. i have a 2011 iMac with the latest iOS.
Ah, apologies. It wasn't clear to me what you are trying to do.
Well, it's true, you can review and edit the store information in Keychain. The app is properly called Keychain Access (in English) If you use Spotlight to look for the word key - that's the magnifying glass in the top right corner of your computer display - you should find the app whether your computer is in English or not. -
Import can't find project created in SJSE8
I created a project called myutils which has a few classes in it that I use in many places. SJSE8 created the myutils.jar file very nicely and quickly.
I created another project to use the myutils.jar file and no matter what I do, SJSE8 can't find it. I have:
1. Updated the CLASSPATH environment variable with the directory that has the myutils.jar.
2. Gone into the project properties and updated the libraries list by adding the myutils.jar file and directory folder.
3. Gone into the Tools/Options and changed the Ant settings for the IDE-Supplied Classpath and the Additional Classpath to include the myutils.jar directory.
4. I looked at the Tools/Options/IDE Configuration/System/Modules/Debugging/JPDA Debugger UI/Effective Classpath and found that it doesn't even consider the CLASSPATH environment variable at all.
Being new to SJSE I'm getting confused quite a bit. I'm not new to java programming, but I can't seem to find my way around what seems to be a very good IDE.
There has to be a good reason for my second project program not to be able to see the first jar file in order to import it.
Anyone know why?

It's strange ... Seems jar file myutils.jar not contain classes in package myutils.
If you send me this jar file then I can give you more detailed answer.
First of all notice that classes have correct package declaration:

I have installed Sun Solaris 9 x86 (Intel architecture) without any errors. From java.sun.com, I downloaded the lastest version of JRE 1.4.2.
When I try to install WEBLOGIC 6.10 I get the following error:
can't find libjava.so
I have also have setup JAVA_HOME=/usr/java/jre .profile and assigned this to the path as PATH=$JAVA_HOME/bin:$PATH
java is a symbolic pointing to /usr/j2se
Can someone please help me!!!

Where can i find edited adobe photoshop files in time machine after update?
i was having issues with my computer, brought it in to apple store. they suggested i back everything up on external using time machine before doing a erase/re-write. i did so. HOWEVER, my edited photos in photoshop & bridge are gone. after the re-write, i updated from CS3 to CS5.5. all of my metadata is gone from the pictures, my keywords and all of the edited photos.
i don't know if it is related and it's not really my question, but i cannot access any of my itunes music now as it says that it cannot find original files. super frustrating as no one seems to know how to help with this. these two issues arose after my time machine backup that the apple genius told me would certainly back up all of my files. it seems i did something wrong prior to the backup or prior to the software updates that i did after the rewrite. any suggestions that could point me in the right direction are appreciated.That path is still correct - at least it is on my system - but unless you had Library brought out into a place where it could be found, in the Sidebar for instance, I don't know how you'd get into it in Time Machine. Try this, though: access the user's Library folder via the Go To Folder command, then drag the Library folder into the sidebar. Then run Time Machine and see if the Library folder persists in the TM interface. If it does, you should then be able to navigate into Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/ and find and restore the backup folder.

Can not find edited pics on the phone with my computer
I am running OS5 and i can not transfer the edited pic's that I edited with the phone. I can view them on the phone but when I am connected to it from the computer I can not see them on my computer to save them. Any ideas?
Are you on a Mac? Did you try Image Capture (it's in the Apps folder on the Mac)? Maybe try rebooting your desktop or rebooting your phone and then plugging it in again.

Thunderbird import can't find Eudora files - all installations are normal - what will work?
Use import function - either 'import everything' or 'address book' and 'mail' separately - in all cases no files are found - all systems have basic installation - eudora version 7.1.0.9 (sponsored mode) - thunderbird 24.5.0 - have searched for help, but nothing seems to help
As I said, I have been running Eudora for years - at least three years on Windows 7.
My use of Eudora is very basic, but it does freeze (not respond) occasionally and I have to restart it. But I never loose any data.
The path to my address book files: NNdbase.txt and NNdbase.toc and sub-folder called "Nickname" is as follows:
C:\Users\apex\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Program Files (x86)\Eudora
I created the following text file:

Using Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.24, I tried the Import function & instead of the 'no file' message, there was now a Browser pop-up.
I was not able to navigate the pop-up browser to the Eudora folder above.
I created another folder at 'C:\apex\My Documents\Eudora to Thunderbird', copied the contents of the above folder and navigated to the new folder.
The Import now worked!!
I still do not understand why the .reg file did not work. -
Adobe download needs "edit options" on the top right corner to allow download can't find on screen
trying to download Adobe reader.....directions say for firefox users, "edit options" must add Adobe to list of allowables. I can't find "edit options" in the top right corner ......possibly Windows 7 change???
Those are instructions for older versions of Firefox. Use the "manual installer".

I can't find the edit button..You have hotlinked the (jive scn.sap) images in wiki. This is not the correct way to embed images.
The image needs to be first uploaded there(atlassian wiki.scn.sap), and then embed to wiki page.
I believe you are able to see the image because they are hosted on scn.sap, you are logged in, and the images are part of your "draft" space.
When your access issue with wiki is being corrected. also get access to upload images in wiki.
There are tutorials available on how to embed images to new wiki platform. -
adobe starter edition has photo numbers by the picture such as DSCO0283.JPG , where can I find that number on the pictures in PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12--reason being that photoshop elements will not convert my catalog to version 12. If i had that number I could manually rebuild my collections into the photoshop elements 12, but all that i see in photoshop elements is dates and i have multiple pictures from the same dates. HELP! finally getting back to this project---adobe starter edition 3.2 is on a windows XP computer
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 is on our Windows 8.1 computer.
error messages--- had to give up trying to convert---I copied all our pictures to our windows 7 laptop and I installed adobe photoshop elements 12 (my bought program)
I wanted to try to convert there first. also I copied our catalog to this computer also. Everything was working fine I could see the collections just as they where on the XP computer.
then I tried to convert on the laptop. I believe the error said something about corrupt file, so I gave up that day. Next day I tried to open ADOBE STARTER EDITION 3.2 and it wanted an unlock code, no such code exists. and my copy of Elements 12 turned into a trial version which has expired. So I am a little hesitant to try to convert on the XP computer and mess up the existing catalog,
unless there is a fool proof way. I have tried manually making collections/ albums on Windows 8.1 and PHOTOSHOP ELEMENTS 12 and coping pictures into the new albums. sloooow!!
I probably have about 4500 pictures and 150 collections/ albums to go. So any suggestions would be appreciated. -

FM -> REUSE_ALV_GRID_DISPLAY_LVC
for ALV display.
I have to chekc whther data has been changed or not befor saving. if changed then only i want to
SAVE
. I cannot use the internal table comparison method for this purpose also i am not using OOP ALV.
So kindly sugest me an alternative.

IMPORTING
e_valid = lv_check.
This will update the internal table with the edited values. Then we can go for internal table comparison.
But my scenario will not allow me for itab comparisons.I just want to know the ALV data has been changed or not.

Files Renamed when importing to LR4 and now can't find them in LR3
Help! What should I do???
Yesterday I installed LR 4 Beta. I had a folder with 300 images in it on LR 3, obviously all files had names. I imported these photos into LR4 to work with LR4 and they were renamed in the process. Now in my LR3 folder, all the files still have there old names and the "missing photo ?" and I assume that's because the name has been changed and LR3 can't find them. Any thoughts on an easy fix?

I must admit, I didn't pay too much attention when importing this "test"
group of photos to LR4, therein lies my problem. Now that I look at the
import settings that were used:
1. Files were not added or copied, they were "moved" to a new location and
also renamed.
2. Files were renamed starting with "264" using my regular import template.
Listed below are the first 10 photos with their original LR3 and he
changed LR4 names.
1201_001 changed to 1201_264-2
1201_002 changed to 1201_265-2
1201_003 changed to 1201_266-2
1201_004 changed to 1201_267-2
1201_005-Edit-Edit changed to 1201_268-2

I have a back up of my images on an EHD from several days ago which has the
original file names, but this backup only has 203 of the 268 images I
imported yesterday and are renamed.

Step four is where I have problems. I'm using Windows Explorer to drag and drop an XML instance document into http://d01db:8085/datamart/CustomerCare/xml while logged into the repository as xdb.
Here's some of the test file that I'm using.

Note, the test XML file is 427k in size and I can't post it here. There is a lot of data between the </Control> tag and the </StetonAuditResults> tag.
During the Drag and Drop I get the message "An error occured copying some or all of the selected files."
My first suspicision was that the XML document failed validation. So I changed the namespace line to

and I could use Windows Explorer to drag and drop the file into the XML DB respository of http://d01db:8085/datamart/CustomerCare/xml, but this version doesn't shred the XML document into the SQL tables that I need.
I then deleted the file from the repository.
I then changed the namespace line in the XML document to <StetonAuditResults xmlns:xdb="http://xmlns.oracle.com/xdb" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance" xsi:noNamespaceSchemaLocation="Steton.xsd">
because someone told me to, and because I have seen an FAQ in this forum suggest this approach. I can copy using Windows Explorer into the http://d01db:8085/datamart/CustomerCare/xml. However, the file size via Windows Explorer is 427kb. Also "select count(*) from STETONAUDITRESULTS;" returns zero.
What am I doing wrong?
My background, I'm not an Oracle DBA, but I can code SQL select statements. So if I need to do something involving Oracle DBA privileges, please document it well. I will have to get the DBA's involved.
My goal is import this XML file so that I can use it as a feed for a datamart. The first XML file in text format is 27mb.
Thanks again for reading this far.I guess you have a namespace issue...(schema registered is not the same as the layout in your XML instance/doc, therefor will not be inserted). You have access to the XDB account...thats all you need (more then enough, i mean, you don't need dba privs).

When a schema based XML is loaded into the XML DB repository via HTTP, FTP or dbms_xdb.createResource() the document is converted from a textual serialization of XML into a series of objects. At this point the size of the document becomes (a) meaningless and (b) difficult / expensive to calculate.
The first question is what is meant by the size of the document once it has been stored using object-based persistence ? There are two possibilities
(1) The number of bytes used the text serialization of the XML document.
(2) The number of bytes required to store the internal object representation of the document. In this case the does the size include the bytes used for keys, refs indexes, etc ?
Since (1) would be expensive to maintain as the document is updated (particularly in the case of partial updates) and (2) is expensive to calculate on a document by document basis, XML DB shows the size of all schema based XML documents as 'zero' bytes.
Note that this also applies to the size of the registered version of XML Schema documents, which can be found in the folder tree /sys/schemas.
If a schema based XML document is loaded into the repository and does not appear as 0 bytes long when viewed via HTTP or WebDAV this means that XML DB was unable to identifiy the XML schema the XML document is associated with.
Note that immediatlely after uploading a document in Windows Explorer using the WebDAV protocol the size of the document will be non-zero, since the original size is cached by the Microsoft WebDAV client. However once a refresh of the folder is performed in Windows Explorer the size should be shown as zero if the document was recognized as a schema based document.

flv tube is set as my home page. everytime i go to change my homepage to something other than flv tube and exit fire fox, when i restart fire fox the same flv tube web site loads as my homepage. i go to the tools tab and reset my home page to default
