Import CD's to my phone on different computers
I imported several cd's at work and synced. When I got home, I spent an hour importing many more of my cd's. Now Itunes won't let me sync unless I remove all the music from my work? Shouldn't my library be tied to my apple ID? I just switched to Iphone from android and gave up 600 free songs on android and can't afford to buy a bunch of music right now so I am using my own personal CD's but do I really have to use only 1 computer to import them? This stinks.

why am i having so much trouble trying to log into my icloud account. I have been trying for 2 days now on two different computers in 2 different locations. I can get to the log in screen, type in my apple id and password, then keep getting screen saying icloud showed an error connecting to server. When importing songs of a same album but different artist iTunes will separate the artists. How can I bring all together in the same album?
Generally setting a common Album Artist will fix things. For deeper problems see Grouping tracks into albums.

I have 2 iphones registered under same account, but both phones had different contacts in them, somehow icloud duplicated, exchanged them, and I turned off the icloud on one of them, while doing that it asked me if I want to keep them on my phone or not. I pressed the one saying not to keep them. I deleted all of them and could not restore the contacts, how do I restore it? when I sign in to my icloud account online it only shows the contacts that were on the other phone. plz help
I access a personal iPhone and iPad, and a business iPhone with the same Apple ID.
The iPhone's passcode lock feature is completely separate from another iPhone or iOS device.
All apps, all paid and free apps include DRM protection which is tied to the Apple ID that was used to download the apps. If some apps were downloaded with one Apple ID and then a new Apple ID is created, in order to download an app update that was installed with the original Apple ID requires using that Apple ID and password. -

Importing files of the same name in *different* folders?
Yes, yes, we all know about the RAW+JPEG and whatever else argument.
But why should I be prevented from importing identical files that are stored in different folders? Who cares if they are in the library twice?
I haven't figured out if it's just a name issue (don't think so) or if the files have to be truly identical.
I *think*, but am not sure, that you can import separate files of the same name but that are actually different images. Can anyone verify?

It appears that you can import duplicate named files by unchecking the "ignore Duplicates' box--the first time you import files (or a file) from a folder. But, if you go back to that folder to use 'import' to update, then the import takes place immediately bypassing the screen with the "ignore Dulicates' box on it--I presume it assumes that you would not want to change any of the original settings for an import from a given folder.
The point is you had better leave it unchecked always if you want duplicates ingested intially or later on reimport. -

When I sync my phone I get my husband's phone contact list, apps, etc and the same happens when he syncs his phone. It does recognize our phones as different users so how can I stop this from happening when we sync?
Did you tick the box in iTunes to sync with the Mac address book? Are you using the same user account on your Mac, with the same contacts in the same address book?

I'm the other collaborator on a project with Jelly Belly. As I am coming from using abode premier pro to final cut, the concept of sub clips is new to me.
We are planning on capturing close to 50 mini dv tapes, in as far as possible complete master clips for each tape. Once this is complete we will have all master clips copied to two identical 1T external hard drives.
Then the plan is to break the master clips down into sub clips in order to thin out and better organize the footage. To speed this process up we plan to do this concurrently on two separate computers, at this stage both running Final Cut Express 4. Once this is done is it possible to import those sub clips into a new project? At this point we will most likely running Final Cut Studio 3.
If so then how would one go about doing it?

i've been trying to import a cd into itunes that has different artists on the cd. (queen of the damned soundtrack) after its done, all the tracks aren't together. its all sepreated. how can i keep all the tracks together?
Happens all the time and you are probably correct about cause.
Some CD manufacturers use various forms of copy protection on discs designed to interfere with computers reading the discs. I have found iTunes to be very picky about this too. I have had several discs iTunes would not acknowledge but could rip with another program. Other times the fix is as simple as cleaning the disc ro turning on error correction for the ripping process.

Import net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs.*;
I have developed a midlet with WTK22 and I have successfully used the Blackberry rapc tool to compile it for the Blackberry where it runs very well. I would now like to import the Blackberry RIM classes in net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs.*; to access the phone logs on the Blackberry.
I can successfully compile a class that extends thread; imports net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs.*; and then uses these classes. I can preverify the class by including the net_rim_api.jar in the classpath. I then jar this class with my other midlet classes in a jar library. However, when I try to compile the main midlet class with WTK22 using this phone log class, I get the following error:

I have a 5800XM and I love it. My wife also wants to get one and I need to know if it is possible to sync. 2 5800XM's with one PC where each phone has differing contact lists and calendars? I've looked right through the book and it appears to suggest it is possible but until my wife gets hers I won't know. Also, if it don't work then we could foul up our back-ups and lose info.
On another point, is it possible to change the awful red on grey font that displays for names and numbers etc in texts? That is the only fault I've found with my 5800XM. I find it extremely difficult to read under any lighting conditions.

JungleboyJust create a separate user account on your PC for your wife and you will be able to sync and backup both phones on one PC.
The font colours are determined by your current theme. If you don't like the default theme install an alternative.

on PC, when your phone is plugged in to the computer, open up Computer and your phone will appear as any USB/external hard drive would. Then you can copy and paste on to your computer. I am a little new to MAC and the only way i know how is to open iphoto and import from there. You can then select all the photos you want in in iphoto and drag them in to a folder that youd like to have them and they will copy automatically
