Import contact database from access

Realizing of course Microsoft is on the way to killing Skype as we know it, is there a way to import contacts from Access?

are you trying to export from oracle 8i to Access or export Access tables to Oracle 8i Database
If you are exprting from Oracle to Access you can use Toad or Sql developer and export all the tables to xls file and the you can import to Access or Sql server, you will need the follwoing
1-ODBC driver connectivity
2-Data source based on a machine with an Oracle database
If you are exporting Access tables to Oracle 8i Database you will need the follwoing
1-ODBC driver connectivity
2-Data source based on a machine with an Oracle database
3-Export the Tables and the export file should go to an external database
4-Choose ODBC as the file type and select the datasource

Hi macmac57. I don't memorize my numbers anymore, so I know how important it is to have all your contacts on your phone at all times. Did an update occur or a new application download when your contacts disappeared? Have you been backing up your device with your computer? You can try to restore your contacts from your last backup. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
Are you syncing your iPhone between multiple computers? This can sometimes create issues with your contacts. http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1474
If you were already using iCloud to back up your contacts, check out http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3998 for some great tips from Apple.

Importing the Database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.7 w/o system Tablespaces.

Hi DBAs,
I need to import a database from 10.2.0.4 (RHEL 5.1) to 11.1.0.7 (RHEL 5.1). At source database there are 3 schemas with many defined roles for which I am interested in. I tried to do exp/imp at schema level but there were many defined roles and permissions which were giving IMP as well ORA error. If I do the Full database exp/imp , it is also importing the system/sysaux TS as well DBSNMP etc schemas which I dont want.
Please advise in above scenario, how should I import these schemas to the target which is running Oracle 11g.

You can do this also
1. Export 3 schemas with grants=y rows=N and import the data schema structure with grants
2.Check the log file for missing roles and create those roles using from dba_role_privs..etc
3. Import the data ignore=y option

Update sql 2012 database from access 2003

Hi, all,
I have a new sql server 2012 and has already created a database same as the one from access 2003.
Can someone give me a details or links how to update sql server 2012 through SSIS package? I know I could use import wizard but it is a customized version of SSIS. And I want to build my own project using SSIS package.
source: access 2003 on old sql server 2005
destination: sql server 2012.

Importing contact details from PC

Hey,
I was wondering if it's possible to transfer all my contact details from microsoft outlook on my PC to my PM G5?
I've got loads to transfer and really don't fancy sitting there keying each one individually!
My only other option is to somehow transfer from PC onto mobile phone, and from mobile phone to Mac - just means having to go and get the cables, discs etc to be able to do this.

this looks like the closest thing to answering my question, so if you're there, how about this. my version of outlook and outlook express don't allow vcard forwarding, or exporting.
however, i can export .csv - have accessed the information, and correct email addresses show up, but the email block is check-marked "Do Not Import". I cannot find a way to uncheck the selection, even though i've selected email on my address book card display. any thoughts?

How do I import contacts, photos, history, emails, etc from my old original iPhone to my my new 3G iPhone? I tried the "import SIM Contacts" on phone, but no luck.

Your contacts should be in Outlook or whatever program you sync your contacts to, Your photos should be in whatever folder you saved them in your computer, your e mails should be in your e-mail server, music should be on itunes.
Everything should be on your computer if you are syncing as you should be.
When you sync you new iphone you will sync it to the same information, that is on your computer.

Clientbased Outlook-Integration: Import Contacts/Accounts from CRM to Outlo

I set up the clientbased Outlook-Integration von CRM 2007. Everything works fine besides the synchronization of Contacts/Accounts from CRM to Outlook.
What are the requirements for a contact to be imported to Outlook?

Ben,
the standard relationship for this is BUR011. we have given a customizing under SPRO where you can maintain that.
Once that is done the contacts where the logged-in employee is correctly assigned to would go to the outlook folder.
if that does not work pls send me an e-mail and we can check your system remotely

Important contacts list from Outlook Express

I am struggling to figure out how to import our contacts list from Outlook Express into iTunes so that we can then move them onto our new ipad mini. Whatever step(s) am I missing? Thank you & standing by.......

I can't find any documentation but I want to remember that iTunes doesn't work with outlook express.
if it is an option, you get your contacts on by connecting your device, opening iTUnes, navigating to the 'info' tab (the name did change but basically it's the tab to set up the e-mail, notes, etc that you sync)
If express is an option you'll see it listed as a choice.
If it's not then you can always mail your contacts out of outlook, open that mail on your iPad and save them from there. I had to do it once and I could only figure out how to do it one at a time but there may be a better way.

Importing the database from ocs 9 to ocs 10.1.2

I am working on setting up oracle collaboration suite 10g at work, and we have a seperate version of oracle collaboration suite 9i running now. I was wondering if I could import the database tables from ocs 9i into ocs 10g. If that is possible would I then have all the mail, files and lists that have been created on the old ocs server in the new ocs server.. If it is not possible do I then have to manually create new post lists, move mail with imap2imap and what about the files that are stored now on the previous version of ocs?

No, I did not post this question before, but I did post a question about transfering the migration tool that is refered to in the oracle collaboration manuals. Unfortunately, the tool refered too is not readily available and I ended up looking for it for more than two days.
I could not upgrade because we are switching hardware and the upgrade referred to in the installation manuals is an inplace upgrade, which is not a possiblity because of our decision to migrate to a better hardware platform. Thank you for taking time to answer my enquiry.

I am trying to access via linked tables from Access 2007 my ODBC connections.
I am able to setup and test successfully in the ODBC Data Source Administrator my Data source, and Driver(Oracle in OraHome92), and I used this successfully when I had Access 2003 on this PC.

Import whole database from 9.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.1

Hi all,
We are tried to change the database server from 9.2.0.4 Enterprise to 10g Express Edition.
I export the data file using exp with full=y and then I tried to import the dmp file with imp full=y
The result is that a lot of error is popup
So I tried to use impdp to do the import. And the result shows
ORA-39001: invalid argument value
ORA-39000: bad dump file specification
ORA-39143: dump file XXXXXXX may be an original export dump file
I need guidelines to import our dmp file. Can anyone give us some direction for that?

I have found that for dmp file that is exported by old "exp" command cannot be imported to 10g database by using "impdp" command. The reason that "imp" fails in our case is that I have not created tablespace and users (I expect oracle will help us to do that)
After I create tablespace and users, it can import the data without errors (but there are some warnings, need to check)
I do not understand why I have to add the users. There may be thousands of users and I have not their password. But if I do not add the users, the imp will show that there does not exist the user

Since you are on 9.2.0.4 already, you can use DBUA directly for this upgrade.

Importing contact list from file

My daughter installed PC Suite (E65), and wants to import her contacts from her previous phone (not a Nokia). We have it in a spreadsheet, and can convert to tab-delimited etc. She does not have Outlook, and Outlook Express messes up her contacts (they're not in English). As far as I can see, the only option is to enter each one separately into the PC Suite contacts, but it's quite tedious. Is there any application that can import? Thanks!

Import Contact list from Thunderbird

I need to import the Address book from Thunderbird to Verizon. I used the Thunderbird export utility to save the contact file as a .csv file. Then I used the import function to import that file to Verizon, but it fails.
Has any one been successful with this?

I haven't done this recently but certainly had no trouble last year when I did it.

Can't import contact information from iPhone when synching

Hi guys,
When we are using iTunes to sync my wifes' iPhone & Mac Pro, we have never been able to get the address book to sync with her computer. She has a ton of contact info on her phone and it is becoming more and more important to get these over to the computer. We have done all of the basic stuff (ie making sure "Sync address book contacts" is checked in iTunes), but still when we do a sync we can not get the info from the phone to the computer. If anyone has any information on why this may be happening and how we can fix it your input would be appreciated.

The U2 album should be showing in your Purchases in iTunes. The following Knowledge Base article offers up the steps on how to download a previous purchase:

Click Purchased in the Quick Links section.
Select the content type that you want to download (Music, Movies, TV Shows, Apps, or Books).
Select Not in My Library to view purchased content that isn't on your computer.
Find the item that you want to download. You can browse using the menu to the left. If you have more than 2,000 songs, you'll see Recent Purchases instead of All Songs or Albums.
Click the Download icon next to the item you want to download.
If an item is already in your library, the Download icon won't appear.

I've been using Entourage as my email for years, but everything Microsoft on my Mac screw up. I want to get rid of all of my Microsoft stuff. How do I transfer my mail contacts from Entourage to Apple Mail?

Does Entourage export as CSV (comma separated vars)? You can import that file format into Contacts.
